Just talked to Chipper.He said they moved the game up to earlier today.Played a jv boys game and the varsity game at 6.He is going to get on in a little bit

Chipper said Bradford was winning by 1 point with a second left and Bradford was shooting free throws,Said Zay didnt or wasnt playing due to an injury.Hate to lose a district game but still feel like will be a different team after Christmas.

Just posted again and said Halls is winning 50-42. halls 53 south Fulton 51....50 seconds remaining South Fulton won 55-53 on a last second shot.said Halls had several turnovers late in the game. Chipper said Union city was beating Trenton by 20 and that Lake Co was losing to bradford by 1 and that coleman wasnt playing or out due to either a head or eye injury.

We have always known that District 14A is the toughest district in the state.We are always talking about Humboldt ,Union city ,Lake Co, and South Fulton.Can we throw Halls in the mix this year.Chipper said that humboldt only beat Halls by 5 points Tuesday night.Hadnt heard that.Today at work a friend from Halls did tell me Humboldt only beat Halls by 5 points.He also just text me a score saying Halls 39 South Fulton 28..I'm thinking a halftime score

Who do yall play the 3rd.Lake co plays Bradford tonight and wont play again until Jan 3 against Halls.Hope they spend most of thos two weeks or as much as they can around the holidays having Blevins and Strayhorn practicing hard.Play Union city the 10th and Humboldt and south Fulton back to back around the 20th.Lake co will be rady by then.I think Lake co comes to Union city and beats Union city on their home floor on the 10th.write it down Gonna be interesting how you talking about Union City,Humboldt and South fulton but after the 10th,you're going to have to put Lake co in your posts.Dont think Union City is going to want to play Lake co in the region.If they do,Union city wont go dancing.just like last year...lol

Keep on leaving Lake co out of the mix.Lake co played very well in spurts last night and missed about 15 free throws,had a tech called on them for a hard foul and should have had two more points on a Bradford goal tend.Like TCA.said.Lake Co is just too small right now.And young.Think the caoch did about everything he could do.by playing a zone.Bradford just drove on the smaller players and Brown killed Lake co on the boards and stick backs.I really believe after Christmas,will be a great matchup..I look for Taylor, ,Zay Coleman to be two of the starters for sure and a third starter to come from a trio of sophomores in Darius Johnson, Estes the white guy at center,or sophomore Stephonski wilkes to All 3 of these players started last night and did a good job but are just sophomores and not at the level of Humboldt seniors just yet..I look for Blevins and Strayhorn to fill the other two spots.Will be taller then,more athletic and Humboldt wont be able to push Strayhorn around..Dont think they will own the boards with Blevins and Strayhorn in the lineup/Coach may put Estes,Blevins and Strayhorn in the back on defense and Taylor and Zay out front.Either way,all these guys will play as will the freshman,number 12 TCA is talking about as well as his his brother number 1 who has been starting every game.We'll see after Christmas if Lake co isnt in the mix.I believe they will beat Union city with those players in the lineup.You heard it here first...Lake Co could start 4 sophomores and a freshman now and not be that bad of a team.And a loaded middle school team that is undefeated as is Union City I believe.But they do have 3 guys that are 8th graders that are very athletic that will be up here with the young guys now and also the middle school starts two seventh graders who are very good.So,next 5 years Lake Co will be one of the premeir teams.I can see this group along with Union City making a push for the Gold ball in years to come.

Hmmmm.I'm curious.I work with several from Halls and they havent mentioned playing Humboldt.They did mention playing Union City and Trenton.Said Halls had about a 16 point lead against Trenton and blew it.I'm guess they played Trenton and not Humboldt but not positive

I think Gibson co had the best chance to beat UC last night.I agree,that they probably wont shoot 18 percent many games but with Amber fair back after christmas ,gives UC another big body for GC to have to shoot over plus She can shoot and handle the ball pretty well for a big girl..

I thought the same thing but just what I heard.I'll ask the superintendant the next ball game myself to see if they have heard anything or just a rumour.

Yea con.It was talked a lot about it last year but you may have missed it.Devante lives in Lake Co.He decided to go to school in dyer Co his freshman year which was legal.Just that he;d have to drive about 50 miles round trip each day. He wanted to come back and play sports at Lake Co,Since he didnt make a move from Lake Co to Newbern,he couldnt come back to Lake Co without sitting out a year.But if he moved somewhere and then moved back would have been eligible.So supposedely he moved to Trenton.Played two games for Trenton.Ironically one of the games was against Lake Co.The other game was against Humboldt I believe..So then he supposedely moved back to Lake Co.The coach called Trento to ask about him.Trenton didnt know much about his living arrangements .He was cleared to play and played in 7 or 8 games.More information came forward that he never moved to trenton and had lived in Lake Co all along.Probably drove to Trenton for about 2 weeks.So because he played 2 games for Trenton,they had to forfeit 2 games including the game against Lake Co which was a Lake Co win on the floor anyway but still was showed as a forfeit..Lake Co had to forfeit the games he played in and was ruled ineligible the rest of the year.I heard he wasnt going to be allowed to play the rest of the junior year and his senior year.But if the rumour is true,maybe the TSSAA is saying he'd been allowed to play after a year anyway but because of the false information,making him sit out the whole year.Not sure if true that he will get to play.He is fast,will help on defense but not nuch more but will give LC and extra player off the bench and more fouls.But with Blevins and Strayhorn getting to play,will more than likely play about 10 players every night.Playing about 9 players now.Plue Lake Co played bigger schools from Kentucky and ILl,played Dyer Co twice which is a lot bigger school,Southside ,Middleton,TCA.So they played a lot of tough Single A teams out of their district and a lot of bigger schools.Then throw in Humboldt,Union City,South Fulton,3 very powerful teams in the district,the record was deceiving.

Dont think Lake co is ready for humboldt now but hopefully after Chrismtas the Falcons will be a better team.Could come down to coaching adjustments also.Heard Lake co was losing to South Fulton the other night by about 20 points and South Fulton shot a ton of layups.A buddy of mine said Lake Co really likes the man defense.Maybe the Coach can figure out if a team is shooting layup after layup,time to change something.But still,hoping Lake co is better after christmas.The team most people will see then will pretty well be the team next year also except for Zay Coleman.Word I have is that Blevins and Strayhorn have made the grades to play after Christmas.Also heard that Devante Hill,the player that was involved with Lake co having to forfeit games last year by playing at Trenton and then at Lake co without making a move will be allowed to play during the tournaments.Wont be allowed to play the whole regular season .Not sure about that though.Just what i was told.If true,I guess the TSSAA feels like a year and a half is suspension enough.

Went to Humboldt tonight and no game.Got over there and about 10 vehicles around 6.Went inside and the black lady at the desk taking up money said Humboldt game didnt start until 6:30 and that they were going to play Madison.Wasted trip

Let me know if the humboldt-Lake Co game will be played tonight.Lake Co doesnt have school today and a lot of schools have a policy that if no school,not play sports.I think Lake co has strayed from that rule a couple times as the roads really cleared during the day.May be better for Lake co to re schdule till after Christmas..lol

Do want to clarify about my post.Not directed toward South Pittsburg or Union city.I know Union city has lost some students to Obion central and South Fulton.I also know Union city has gotten two brothers in the Lewis kids from South Fulton the past year or so.I really dont mind that.at least it's the same county.Same maybe with South Pittsburg if they are getting players from their own county..I'd rather kids go to schools to which they are zoned even if they are in the same county unless a move is made.What I'm basically against is letting kids come from out of stste to play.Like maybe someone from North Carolina that maybe comes to Alcoa unless a move is made.Someone coming from Caruthersville Missouri,only about 15 minutes from the Tenn line and about 30 minutes from dyer co to play at dyer co.Or Wayne Co students going to Lewis co and especially Lake Co students going to dyer Co when they wont even let Dyersburg kids do the same and they are in the same county.Bottom line..If you are not in that county,not be allowed to attend,even as a freshman unless a move is made.

Lake Co beat Halls this year but Halls did beat Humboldt.also played Mitchell decent in the playoffs.Think it was 28-14 without looking but not sure.But they do have some young players and a very good and very fast running back that is a freshman.He is going to help halls the next few years.

This has been answered in different threads in different ways. Pay attention. The county is relatively large area wise but has only 28,000 people. There are 4 H.S., 3 of which have a football team, SP, Marion County High (Jasper) and Whitwell. Regarding #3, it doesn't allow open zoning in the way you think. IF, there is space, a student can apply to go to that school and it has to be approved. As far as the TSSAA is concerned, Marion County Schools have bus routes. If a kid starts out as a Freshmen, there is no issue. After that, they would have to set out a year.

I said they should have to sit a year unless a move was made.Even as a freshman going to a school in another county which the TSSAA does allow. Lake Co is losing students to dyer Co to play basketball,football and baseball but still live in Lake Co.They drive back and forth every day.They go their freshman year which is allowed by the TSSAA.Make them sit a a year and i bet they wouldnt go..Like Gibson co Pioneer said.There are 2 middle school feeder schools in dyer co ,the Northview Mustangs and Three Oaks Eagles.Northview students which is located in Newbern go to dyer co.the other school Three Oaks,is closer to dyersburg than dyer co but for some reason,the past year they have changed both middle schools to the Dyer Co colors and mascots and now Three Oaks is a Dyer co feeder school.Only about 2 or 3 miles from Dyersburg but about 10 to 12 miles to dyer Co.But at least those students live in dyer Co.Cant see whay the TSSAA allows students to go to school to play sports in another count and live in another county which is what is happening at Lake Co and dyer Co.Are they recruited?Dyer Co says no.Lake Co says yes.Maybe not directly by coaches themselves but Dyer co has open gym for players from other schools come play there at night and their players and fans say,Man you could be great here.Have players coming from Lake Co.Halls,Crockett Co to Dyer co but yet wont allow a Dyersburg City student that is in Dyer Co attend Dyer Co.

I bet they wouldnt go then.If that were the case,I know for a fact that all those Lake Co athletes that live in Lake Co wouldnt be driving 20 miles each way to dyer Co if it wasnt to play sports.Dyer co allows out of county students to go there but yet wont let a Dyersburg city kid go there and they are at least in the same county.At least make them sit out a year .

I realize Union City is a true Single a school along with Humboldt and Dresden.Again,I love playing these schools.I would rather play Union City and lose than play Fulton co and win 60-0.But again..you and i both know there are fans in Greenfield,Gleason, etc that considers Union city and Humboldt AA teams while they think Halls which has 200 more students as a Single a school.At least when you drive to these communities like Tiptonville,Gleason and even Halls compared to Union city.But still Halls has 200 more students.I really wish halls didnt have the enrollment that they have.Would like to see them back in Single A
