  1. Jefferson County @ Science Hill backed up until Wednesday!
  2. STOP THE PRESSES (I've always wanted to say that!) KevB is engaged.....the Rutledge Sports Community will never be the same! Congrats (or condolances) to the future Mrs. KevB!
  3. Cumberland Gap at Rutledge, who cares. I'm going to see Cherokee at West Greene!
  4. Rumor has it that he's moving to Dallas to see if he can find Jason Witten's ATM card now that's he a NFL player!
  5. Trojan Player, Morristown East will beat Greeneville by two TDs this season. Greeneville lost just about eveything they had but Chase Greenway! Come back to reality!
  6. Karns = 1-9 (Win over Campbell County)!
  7. Trojan Player, Everyone has a year every now and then that things don't go their way. I saw you and the rest of the Trojans play two quarters the other night. To be frank, I was impressed with the defense but the offense wasn't very good. Just my opinion!
  8. TrojanPlayer, It's not personal, that's just the way I think it will go. No hard feelings!
  9. We'll see who the idiot is when the Trojans roll in with a 6-4 mark in the regular season. I wish you the best in the season, but it just didn't look like the talent is there this season!
  10. After watching them in the Jamboree Friday night, the answer is NO! Too Slow, Not Enough Big-Play Talent on Offense and No Size on the Offensive Line! My Prediction: 6-4.
  11. CTSPORTS, Who would want to cover Morristown West and 'Cranky' Don Woods. They didn't look very good at the jamboree on Friday night. Volunteer tied them in the second quarter before the Trojans beat a Greeneville squad that might not win three games this season.
  12. Mr. Artie, McCallie isn't Farragut. The Admirals are 42-1 this season. I wish the Trojans the best but it probably won't be enough.
  13. Probably not.....the Patriots still have Houston, Jennings, Desmond Reliford, Aaron Carson and Seth Hoover in front of Shiverdecker. Shiv's a great talent but he'll probably be on the freshman team in 2003.
  14. Coach Wormy, Why wouldn't Morrison be a good hire? Just because he didn't succeed at East doesn't mean he wouldn't be successful there.
  15. scrimmage with Rutledge on 5/8; Orange & Black game on 5/16.
  16. Blue, Lambert may not be the most qualified for the job, but you won't find a coach around that cares about the players more than him. He also get the most out of the talent he has to work with. Not knocking the Lady Bobcats, but most coaches wouldn't have won 16 games this past season with that squad. I've seen many games that Lambert has coached and I feel comfortable in saying he's qualified for any coaching job that's open.
  17. Blue, point made and understood. However, if anyone can switch and still be successful, it's Coach Lambert. I hope they give him the opportunity.
  18. In reference to the girls' coach not being able to do the job on the boys' side, allow me to give you a little background on one J.D. Lambert. Lambert worked under Mike Duffie at Morristown East for several seasons as the number one assistant on the boys' team before assisting Rick Sinard at Jefferson County for several seasons. He took over at JCHS for Sinard and despite not having an abundance did a wonderful job. His players played their rear ends off for him and respected him greatly. Lambert was then railroaded (politics) out of that job before quickly being snapped up by Walters State women's head basketball coach Dave Kragel. He helped Kragel for one season before accepting the head girls' coaching position at Knox Central. Even though I don't have a child, I would be thrilled beyond words to have Coach Lambert teach my child the game of basketball. [Edited by DodgerSS on 4-7-03 2:22P]
  19. Two of the better defensive outfielders I've seen are Morristown East's Chase Shaw and Morristown West's LaRue Isom.
  20. PG - Alex Kragel SG - Johnny Galyon SF - James 'Little Man' Stewart PF - John Caylor C - Walter Evans
  21. there's one that's out of coaching that would be a great addition to anyone's staff - tim payne
  22. Greeneville is probably the best team in District Two-3A followed by M'Town West and M'Town East
  23. From what I've been told, the Tribune is going to wait until spring practice before preparing an article about the football program at East.
