  1. I think you are wrong on that. Personally, I feel he has less talent this year than in years past. He has one good pitcher in overbeck, 3 good hitters, overbeck, wright, and the catcher and aren't that good when put under the gun. The team from last year was much stronger talent wise with a pitching staff that went 4-5 deep very strong, with Arthur, Ellis, Overbeck, and carl Mckee, all of whom have signed or are playing in college this year. Don't get me wrong, they are a very good team, just don't believe they are as talented this year.
  2. Bartlett has 20 of them. 4 work each game, one in the dugout, 2 in concessions and one at the gate.
  3. Sam McCormack a jr cather at bartlett has 28 through 19 games
  4. You are right, there is no way that that team is that much better than houston. I just read in the commercial appeal that houston starter tyler watson left the game in the 4th due to soreness in his arm. the rest of the game was pitched by a kid named seth mcfarlin, who made the school team for the first time this year. Tate put up all their runs in the last 2 innings.
  5. he was in a tough region where 3 people went sub 10 and he ran 10 flat... kunle his teamate and chris calkins where the ones that made it to state.
  6. Miller is playing ss and leading off for them, which is a change from last year, when he played 2nd. zach is a junior.
  7. Matt Nuccio at bartlett. he has a fastball somewhere in the mid to upper 80's right now and is 2 or 3 and 1.
  8. What about Covington, who lost their first game this weekend to a very strong AAA team in Munford.
  9. They lost to munford sometime this weekend 5-2

    Bats

They seem to be good bats. the first one we had dented but the one we have no, the ball jumps off of.
  11. I live in Memphis and you can complain all you want about the drive but honestly any athlete who loved there sport would drive to Bristol or Memphis which ever happened to be on the other end of the state. i would drive to Bristol without a doubt and I would even miss my graduation. Most kids never get that chance to play at state and for me i would do whatever it took in my last chance to get there.

    Closers?

Bartlett has a real closer. He used to be a starter and was plagued by a torn hamstring last summer and had to have surgery this winter. He was converted to a closer and because of fatigue matters. Steven Thomas is his name. he is 2-0 with 2 saves in 8IP and has given up no runs.
  13. thats not even the rigth overton.
  14. what are the best records, e.r.a.s and amount of saves out there?
  15. So much for a good game, it was all but over by the second inning. millington came out flat feeling that they could come into bartlett and play with no emotion and beat them. Junior pitcher corey rudolph finally broke out of his early season funk and had a solid outing allowing only one run in 5 innings. Bartlett also got the bats in motion scoring 13 in 4 at-bats. Sophmore pitcher Matt Nuccio was absent from today's game bc his father had brain surgery this morning, all of us at Bartlett would appreciate any prayers that you could send his way, as we hope to have matt back for tomorrows game at millington.
  16. who is hannah. and noel....didnt diaz graduate early? thats what i heard since he wasnt at cross-country. and why isnt ben griffith in the 800...
  17. i see where you are coming from, i just assumed you had seen them more. I agree completely with what you said about zach cozart, i have never thought he was that great. What about players in district 14AAA, you seen any that you are impressed by?
  18. mile- 4:30 (jr. year) 2 mile- 9:56 (had a stomch virus, vomitting at race)
  19. what do you think of this kid? Won the state in cc past fall but seems to struggle a little when he has true competition because there is only one or two people around memphis that can challenge him at 16 and 32. ran a 4:35 in the 16 and 10:07 in the 32 today at the cordova wolves invitational.

  21. bartlett has 9 in 11, sam mccormack 3 (including 2 grand slams to the opposite field) devin hicks 3, kurtis bramlett 2, corey rudolph 1.
  22. mayhem, how do you list players from houston and not have will hogue on there. he is the best player on that team. he can hit, he can throw, and he can run! he has the tools, the size, and the pop in the bat to make it big time!
  23. In that case he is walking on. the only way you aren't walking on for a sport is if you are getting a scolarship for that particular sport.
  24. Bartlett junior Devin Hicks is playing great ball and is on a tear batting wise with 3 hrs in as many nigths.
