And the same is here in Memphis about White Station. Any kid who can play and academically can even get into ws would want to go there, yet i have read db and bc fans talk about ws recruiting for the last month. I know most of the kids who play for ws and most are good kids in upper-class families who live in ws's district.
We are looking forward to having Karns down for the week and we are excited to get to see the talent they have in Iorg and other players. Good Luck when you come down!
Sam McCormack a junior catcher from bartlett hit 2 this past week in pine bluff, AR including a grand slam. A power hitter with a true advantage over the rest of the field bc of the field we play on at bartlett, LF 312, CF 346, RF 300.
You guys have got the whole situation wrong, you come on here commenting on stuff you dont fully understand. Kids in underacheiving high schools in the Memphis City system can go to other schools if they wish. Thing wrong with your argument is, White Station is in an upper-middle class part of Memphis, and most of the kids that go to WS and play ball there are upper-middle class. There are as many kids on that team that are legit as on any other team in TN.
How about coach Phil Clark, the only natioinal championship of any school in tennessee, and the head of the tennessee coaches assoc., says a little something for the guy.
Bartlett has 4 sophmore pitchers who should see substantial playing time this year. Alex Legget, Shawn Smith, and Matt Nuccio, all are P/1st baseman and are all over 6'2, and 200+. Billy Ray Todd LHP/OF improved greatly over the winter and will probably see time in a relief role.
No doubt Cozart should be on there, he is one of the top in the country! What do you think of the teams in the two memphis districts, i.e. Bolton, cordova, munford, millington, bartlett, collierville, gtown, and houston.
Dyersburg's adults travelled well but expected much more from their students with all the talk of getting kicked out of their own gym and all. I only say 5-6 students at a Saturday night game that was almost as close to dburg as it was to Bartlett and we had more fans there, though i was completely disappointed with out turn out as well!
Since we are no longer in west tennessee, I will start one for Memphis. Any thoughts...

I'm glad to hear it. I know you guys made it out to the district last year. This is my last year, but I think what you guys are doing is good and I'm excited to get to listen to the games next year at Miss St. I am the student sec leader, basically, and I live for Bartlett basketball, and you guys are gonna make it easy for me to know whats going on back home. Thanks!
Hey Mr. Opperman, you guys think you are gonna get to some other sports this spring, instead of just basketball and football. Soccer and Baseball should be great this year!!
