  1. Can we assume this is the Grace out of Chattanooga and not the Grace from Knoxville???????????????
  2. I dont remeber the Knox Central Score 7 to 2 but if thats what u say 825710580[/snapback] No harm intended by 12 on that score chsOL68 that just what the newspaper guy said he had counted. Probably a little closer than that with any call backs. Hope you guys have a good year, beat Maryville and take care of that crusty ol' coach by not letting his blood boil.......lol, have known him from way back, my sister went to college with him somewhere between 1895 and 1965 at Cumberland in Ky.
  3. Best I remember Volunteer has had several season where they were "nothing"!!! Ye who live in glass houses............
  4. No scrimmages scheduled whith Central JV. Bearden JV Thursday morning and Red Boiling Springs in the evening.
  5. Hey Festus, are the the boys from Petros scrimmaging the Patrons of the Long Branch???????????
  6. Bump. Any info on Cookville area 1A teams would be helpful. Jellico will not have transport off campus so anyone interested enough to call Coach Oakes at 423-784-9067 would have to come on campus at Tenn Tech.
  7. How negatively will the recent loss of a RB by Jeff Co. affect them or do you know of an heir apparent to his position? How will this affect the Cougar/Patriot game?
  8. I am going to bump this topic to ask any readers who are the closest 1A teams to Cookville besides Monterey? Jellico will be in camp at TN Tech. and might need a scrimmage for Friday morning next week.
  9. Any scrimmages scheduled??????? When, where and against whom?????
  10. Scott Co. appears to have a better than average group ready to do battle, problem is you guys are in a much, much better than average 3A region and will have to claw and fight for every thing you can get in region games. Good luck on the season and has Scott done any 7 on 7 in the pre-pads days since the dead period ended? thumb
  11. I'm going to bump this topic back to the front lines of the forum. I'm really not interested in the coaching replacement as much as I'm DUMBFOUNDED BY THE SILENCE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Where are all the Cougar faithful, CCMAN84 and company. This time last year Campbell Co. was one of the hottest topics on the boards and now_______________________??????????? Come on guys share a little insight about your team and their prospects for this year, like how is the transfer of Shiverdecker from Jeff Co. is going to change your gameplan or outlook for that game etc. etc.
  12. From Jellico Tommy Bowlin - Sr. '78 and Jr. in '98. Jr. rushed for over 2000 yds, first team all state 2A, and was runner-up for MR. Football back 2A in his senior yr.
  13. Maybe storm55 needs to read coacht's posted topic on use of language and "attitude" and take it to heart. Obviously coacht is going to take it to heart.
  14. Cloudland has a "reputation" allright, on the field it is a good and tuff rep. Off the field however it is loud mouths like you storm55 that are giving a good team a terrible rep. for bad attitude and disrespect to the fine game of high school football!!!!!!!!!!!
  15. Easy now folks, lets all step back from the computer and concentrate on the important things like pre-season conditioning and getting offensive and defensive calls in-line and ready for 8-1-05. 8-1-05, the best day of the year! thumb
  16. Unless you have seen a situation where it hasn't been almost automatic or the child chose to stay at the school they were in, it usually goes that way. Remember that coaching changes with a son or daughter involved in the job change usually fall under the Hardship Rule which is an unwritten, unpublished part of the transfer rules because Ronnie C. and company always make those rulings as they see fit. They just about always rule in favor of the Coach and child. thumb
  17. If you are thinking about the player at your neighboring school who is transfering due to his dad getting a coaching job, then don't worry. Transfer rules always allow the children of coaches who take on new jobs to be eligible at the new school the parent is coaching at.
  18. Don't forget all about the similar/same scare tactic in the Hamilton Co. Chattanooga system last year. Like a bad case of soup bean gas it will stink for a while and blow away!!!!!! thumb
  19. SS55, son, you need to read the board rules about your thought processes and suggestive language. It won't be long till the moderators close you down, and yes they can tell if you try to re-register under a different board handle.
  20. It wouldn't be the first or last time something like that has happened at Campbell Co. The question for Johnson is, will being a big fish in the small 1A pond with state champ as a possible title do more for his college recruiting prospects than being just another set of legs at the big 5A level????????
  21. With all the scare in the Chattanooga area about cutting budgets and limiting athletic programs in the public schools I'm sure it opened the flood gates for "unsolicited" transfers to the private sector and Boyd Bucs will be fully loaded to take on whatever classification the want to play in just like Brentwood Academy used to.................???????????? thumb
  22. Coaching experience is coaching experience in any state you get it............. The TSSAA ruling you are referring to as I understand it, (and it has come up in my school system) only applys to the need of a school to hire a head coach in the emergency case of a teacher not being available (or wanting) to take the job, any teacher by the way. You might have an ex. D1, NFL Pro-Bowler, etc.,etc., available and wanting to be a volunteer coach. However, with no TN teaching license or education degree to obtain one, the 5th string scrub from the worst 0-10 team with barely HS playing experience (or the home ec. teacher for that matter) will get the job if the aformentioned scrub/home ec. teacher is a licensed teacher employed by the school system in question. Correct me if I'm wrong, but that is the TSSAA ruling and LAW of the land as quoted to me.
  23. He has the prayers of East Tennesseans for quick pyhsical, emotional, and spiritual healing.
  24. The more things change, the more they stay the same!!!!!!!!!! Probably depends on whether they hire a new OC with his own package or just move people from within who may keep things at status quo..............
