You guys help me out with who will be back for W.C. next year. The only guys I can think of are graduating, I think!! Also, the game is still on for tonight isn't it? O.K. folks, lets not lose our heads here. Some of you are talking crazy talk. Things like this have been said for years and nothing ever comes of it. Collinwood can surprise you, bottom line. You really NEVER know what you are going to get from them. I am sure the P.C. coaches were scratching their heads at halftime last week when C'Wood was up on them by 2. Especially considering the fact that P.C. scored 39 in the first quarter on them earlier in the season. Are they strong or weak? Who knows!! But what they DO have will still be around next year. Calton, Bryant, Robbins, Calton will all be back and who knows what they can do. They are smart kids that have been playing the game together for a very long time. Sorry I can't help you on that one KW. The only thing I do know is that Fairview is in this tourney so you won't have to worry about them. I just can't name the other teams in it right off hand. You are probably looking at some teams from Cheatam County. I would try that route. Good luck tonight. I respect the tradition at Coffman. Keep up the great work!! Thelma

And YOU juanton69 don't deserve the CoachT account. I would proudly add Stacy, Amy AND Amanda to my ballot for Miss Basketball. Check out the stats (and the college prospects) and I bet your tune will change. I think most of the people on this board need to quit letting emotion rule thier posts. The simple fact is this, the majority of the nominees will come out of middle Tennessee. That's just the way it has always been and probably will always be. I'm not saying that the talent is BETTER and I'm not saying that it is worse but it definately gets talked about more. Even players like Wright (Celina) and Eason (Scotts Hill) that average 20 or more a game don't get talked about as much as Fanning or the Wayne County Trio. Anyway, anyone that has seen the process would not put THAT much emphasis on this thing anyway. T

Hey KWright, You sound familiar. How do I know you? The tourney is in Murfreesboro. I THINK it is called the James C. Haile and I also believe that it is an invitational tournament. Our Jr. High boys have been to it a few times. Since our girls are 18-0 it got them in. I read you asking about Celina the other day. Since that is Collinwoods opponent tomorrow I thought you might be gathering info about them. I really like your favorite quote... So true!! T

He's talking about Collinwood. I don't think it's been decided yet. They have Colt Risner a senior next year and Jacob Dixon and Derrick Bryant both will be Soph's next year. You never know what will happen. Someone else could emerge before next year. We'll just have to wait and see.

I'm glad you are all putting a positive spin on this. I was there too and am in complete agreement with Trojanette and Bubba. I have to say that if I had been a Summertown fan I probably would have been thrown out sooner than the Collinwood fans. There were some HORRIBLE calls that went against the Eagles even before the call against Collinwood. It's also ridiculous to imagine Herbert Luker being asked to leave. Truly, he was asked to leave because they knew who he was, plain and simple. It's not the first time I have seen that particular ref try to show his "power". Great game to both teams. Hey Ladyeagle, Its true, I think W.C. won by 18 at their place so I will play it a little closer. P.C. has a huge home court advantage. As always, however, W.C. continues to improve. They will just be tough for anyone in the district to beat. Hope you are doing well. Thelma

What can not be said about this guy. Jace is a quality act from the word go. I too have many memories of seeing this guy play. Every now and then one of those players comes along that is just "special". You can't really explain it but they are and that is the catagory that I would put Jace in. The most fascinating thing I have known about the guy is that now matter if he is down he is never out. Jace ALWAYS comes out on top. Jace, you have always been a winner and if you keep your attitude you always WILL be. Thanks for everything. Great job Sportsfan. I agree with you both that it was a very touching moment for every person involved yesterday. Hey, how could our new year have started out any better. Thanks again so very much for the prayers and support from every person out there. If you could have been with us yesterday you would have seen those prayers being answered. Hey TFranks, you know, year to year this is a continuous point of controversy. I truly do not want to sound like I am bad mouthing the refs here because I definately don't want the job. The only reason I am commenting is because of the game that I watched last Friday night. I got to stop by the C.A. and Summertown game. (girls only) Though the calls that the refs made did not influence the outcome of the game it was still sad to watch the crew on the court. Honestly, one official was so noticably overbearing and the other two were so truly green. I witnessed so many no calls that it was almost humerous. I was actually standing there thinking that I wish there were some kind of higher standards that these guys had to measure up to. Oh well. I know I haven't accomplished a thing with this post but I just wanted to let you know that you are not the only one who thinks that there are some REALLY BAD refs out there. T

The one bright part about this is that if you know Katie you know that she realizes that this isn't the end of her life, just her season. Like gogold said, she is just a SUPER person with a good grip on reality. Though it REALLY saddens me to hear this I know that you will come out of it on top Katie. Jacob is looking at Western Kentucky, Samford, Eastern Kentucky, Arkansas State and a few others. The only offers so far are North Alabama and Bethel College. Western Kentucky said when their season is over they will be talking to him. Hopefully things will work out for him.
