I'm just curious. Other than football, what sports can they actually compete with Goodpasture in?

There must not be any teaching requirements for Liberty Tech. Coach Bodenhamer has bounced from school to school every time his teaching waiver has run out. If I'm not mistaken, he might not have had a job at McGavock this year. Were there any other candidates for the job or was this a done deal?

What happened at the end of the East Literature and Hume Fogg game last night? I know Hume Fogg won but a parent told me one of the girls got into it with someone after the game. What was this all about? Frustration? Retaliation?

I'd be concerned if I lost to Hillwood. They are bad and probably going to be worse if the kids from North Nashville do not come back.

I saw an article in the Tennessean that said that Stratford only had 16 players at practice on Monday. How can a school of over a thousand only have 16 players? Better yet how can they expect to compete in 4A?

Are those three coaches really leaving? Do they already have new jobs?

I've noticed talk on the football boards about that position. What's everyone's thoughts about the basketball job?

All I can say is what goes around, comes around. Their Coach didn't have any problems runnin up the score on other people when he had Jamont. In fact he didn't even mind Jamont snowbirdin to make him feel special. He had all that tallent then and didn't coach them like he should. Thats why they got their brains beat out Northside. Now he doesn't have the tallent and they are really takin some lumps.

Kennedy's pop likes to shop. Don't look for him to return to Ezell. He may just keep moving down OHB towards BA and CPA. Andrews is a stud. Don't forget about him. ER will still be good. The Guards will all be back for WHH and NCS. Any wagers on which group will be better behaved. I think we all know the answer to that. EL will have Winrow back. McE lost a lot with Elrod and Smith. HC will knock off some people next year. Not sure what JB will have.

Can anyone explain what's up with Coach B and the Pelham boy at Maplewood not coming to the huddle for timeouts? I'm not sure I understand that coaching philosophy.

Godbolt, you're right. We can agree to disagree on some things. No harm, no foul. Here's a question for any and all. What makes either job a good job, and what type of person do these schools need?

Goldbolt, Mcgavock has advanced past the region since Tribue has been there. They were eliminated in back to back sectionals the two previous years. Maybe good ole boys is not the right term but the sentiment is correct. I'm not talking about the same ones. I am talking about a new group doing the same type of things.

Why would anybody think Shelton would go to another school? He has the run of the school. The principal there has to ask him for permission to use the bathroom. If one of those middle school coaches got the job it would cut into the MLK recruiting pipeline. Mike Davis would sell his soul to the devil for a job (if he had one). I agree with BigPoppa, about Joines and Bond. NO WAY, And it's not because they're not good coaches.

Godbolt it's not a round robin trade, it's just a matter of who the favorites are of those in power (similar to nepitism). Metro's "good ole boy" system has just taken on a new look. It happens to be a new group of good ole boys pushing the buttons. Coachtut, you are probably right about the interviews. BigPoppa, it could be the Spanish inquisition or a lone executioner but the outcomes are usually the same. What about the little man that coached the Antioch freshmen, will he be considered? I have heard he was a favorite of the principal.

These jobs will go through Mcgavock (Tribue). There is always a principal from another school involved in the process. He will probably volunteer to help. The principals will have the final say but you can bet they will be prodded in a direction. You're right freewillie, Daddy will be a BIG help. Nice Coding.

I thought this was a post about MLK and Station Camp. Anyway, bleacher you must must be one of those fools that run around holdin Sheltons pant legs ( maybe davis). I'm not sure where you come off callin bigchief a backstabber. Harris has never done ANYTHING by himself. Mcgavock has only won recently because of the players that started with Dearing in freshman ball. And where is Harris now? Maybe you ought to check the principal about that. I guess Dearing had something to do with that. How has he backstabbed Gamble? His freshman team was doing good before some of his players moved up to the varsity. I think others quit because of new rules put in place after the season had started. Those rules came from above. Mt Juliet, you must be kiddin me. The year Dearing got there the team had just graduated 7 seniors and 400 of their students went to Wilson Central when it opened. They were supposed to struggle. Chalk it up to red neck politics. The new coach came in to a team that Dearing had prepared as well as a 6'6 transfer. Maybe you should just keep peekin out from under the bleachers with the other rats.

Does anybody know what is going on at Stratford? Someone said Eric Orr had quit. Have other players have quit too? I heard a player threw his jersey in the coach's face. What's up?
