  1. I have been hearing this for the last three weeks. From what I have heard, right or wrong, it's a done deal.. He will be offensive coordinator.
  2. I don't know what's going on at Community, but I have known coach Frost for years. I DO NOT believe that he coaches his players to play dirty nor do I think that he condones such behavior. I,m sure that getting beaten week after week gets old to the players and the coaches. I am also sure that tempers get very short when they work so hard only to lose again each week. I'm sure that it's not an easy job to start a program from scratch. I have read that they have three fulltime coaches including Frost. Do both assistants want to coach football or did the administration just tell them to? Sometimes at small a school, coaches end up coaching a sport just because they are told to do so.
  3. Congratulations to the Viking players, coach Frost, his staff, and all the fans on a great win.
  4. Wayne County wins this one. It looks like it might be a long year for the MC coaches, players, and fans. I feel bad for the players. It's hard to build a winning program when you change coaches every year or two. I know that this coach has a great resume with his college and NFL experience but it may take him a some time to win many games. It may not happen this year!
  5. What about turnovers? Did turnovers contribute to the 30 points scored by the eagles?
  6. I haven't seen anything on CoachT about this game. I know that Eagleville won 30-0, but what happened during the game? Did Moore County play bad or is Eagleville that much improved. I know that both schools have new coaching staffs. Did the Eagleville staff perform better?
  7. Moore County does not have a history of hiring folks close to the program as the head coach. I'm sure that when they hired McDaniel, they didn't think he would be leaving after only one year. Even though he only spent one year at BGA. I think he is a good coach, but some of the decisions he made this year made me wonder if he planned on being at MC for the long haul. Maybe they will hire someone this time that is willing to build the program the right way and stay for a while.
  8. Who is Dontae. and where does he coach now?
  9. I have heard that Coach Red Roberts and Coach Crawford have both declined the MC job. If my count is correct, that makes 5 coaches that have declined. Does anyone know if this is true? Are they going to take more applications or have they already started taking more?
  10. With 3 of the 10 or so that where nterviewed down, Who will be the next in line? Do they already have the next contestant in mind? They went form naming someone by christmas to maybe having it done by spring break. WHOS NEXT????
  11. I was wandering the same thing as vols4me. I was told that they were about ready to announce a coaches name before coach Flatt got involved. What happened to the coach they were going to announce? Has he got tired of waiting and moved on? Did he get ticked because Flatt walked in and stole the show? I also agree with Blueboy about the wing-t, I don't think anybody really cares what kind of offense the new coach runs as long as he treats the players with respect and can win football games.
  12. O.K. DearOldDad, I don't know anyone that knows him, so tell me what has he done. Has he been a head coach anywhere other than HC. If so where? I heard that he had been at Hickman for two years as head coach, but he's not on the TSSAA site as a coach there at all. If he's been there 2 years then he's 7-13 for those two years. Two of those wins were against Shelbyville (0-10) (1-9) for the two years, one was Lawrence County (2-8) that year, and one was against Statford (2-8) that year, two were against Waverly (7-4) and (5-6), the other was Lewis County ((7-4). That's two wins in two years against teams with a winning record. I know that win/loss records don't show everything that's going on behind the scenes, but I was just saying that on the surface, he don't look a lot better that what MC had. I know the people at MC well enough to know that they worry as much about wins and losses as any fans anywhere. If he can't produce wins in two years there, they will be after his job.
  13. Is this coach Swenson from Hickman County High? I looked on the TSSAA site and didn't find him listed at Hickman Co. I did see that Hickman County's record for the last 6 years was 13-48. The last 3 years they were 3-7, 4-6, and 1-9 for a 3 year record of 8-22. If this info is correct it doesn't take a math major to see that Moore County's recent record is better than Hickman County.
  14. How can you say that Mac had nothing to do with it. Look at MC records before Mac came and then take a look at them since he left. I would agree that MC is a great football community but the community dont coach they support the team. I would also agree that some fans need to stop riding his coat tale and need to support the new coach. Despite anyones opinion he/staff did win ball games while he was there. There was some talent there when he coached just like there is now. Who are all these out of county kids that helped build the MC program. I would like to hear the names of the great out of county kids. Most of the ones I remember had gone to MC since grade school. Well good luck to the Raiders and their new head coach.
  15. Former Coach, the two men that gave me my info are trusted friends of mine. I don't want to name names anymore than you would give the name of your ""friend" that knows CM". Like I said in my other post, I had a very difficult time believing it when I first heard the story. J.B. needs to beware, the next thing we know Pete Rose will be in Moore County looking for a baseball job.
  16. Burley, you are right again. I have watched this discussion since it began. Until now, I have not posted a comment. Most of this talk about the different people coming to MC has not been very accurate, but I have talked to two different people today that are in the know and it is a fact that Carlton Flatt did interview yesterday. I know it is hard to believe. At first I didn't believe it myself, after all why would he retire at BA and be looking for a job at MC so soon. After talking to the second perso I now believe that it is true. Former Coach, if you are as close to the action as you claim, you should already know this. Coach Flatt may not take the job, and MC may not be able to close the deal, but he is in the mix now. I also heard that the school board would meet Thursday night.
  17. If you're talking about the board member that I think you are, she may not be a board member anymore, but I'm pretty sure she still lives in the county. I have been around MC football since the 80's and I don't remember that many out of the county players. I can only think of two or three that contributed much to the team. One of those lived out of the county, but had attended Moore county schools since the 1st grade. I think that one lived in the county but had attended Tullahoma for a while and transferred to MC.
  18. Will Moore County get one in the win column this week?
  19. Well as for all of the controversy in Marshall Co., I really dont care. As for Coach Mac being a bad Coach, I would disagree. He is not perfect but no one is. He is a great coach and friend. Good luck to Mac and the rest of Marshall Co. I am not for sure about the petition but like someone already said, it probably starts at the house and breeds its way down. If the players/parents cant handle it, they should find something else to do. But, if you have two head coaches, players are bound to get caught in the middle. Good luck, whatever the outcome. Just dont let it turn into a coach bashing.
  20. Since you seem to be somewhat of an expert on Moore County football, I have a question for you. How long has it been since MC didn't make the play offs?

  22. The coaches had Cascade well prepared for Wayne County and the players played well on both sides of the ball. I also hope that the injury to the Wayne County player is not serious.
