  1. Inspiring story. http://www.tennessean.com/apps/pbcs.dll/ar...381/1006/NEWS01
  2. Yes, if already injured, or if it has been a chronic problem in past. No, otherwise.
  3. Metroman I have one serious problem with you. You just don't post enough. I enjoy what you have to say. I learn a lot. Thanks.
  4. This game will not be close. WC is one of the 5 best FB teams in TN in any class. Amazing how fast Coach A has built that program. Amazing they almost let him slip away over petty issues. 38-14. Wilson Central.
  5. A helpful translation for the unhip, or those unable to hop. http://www.nytimes.com/2004/11/28/magazine...ner=rssuserland
  6. I don't believe there has ever been a Wilson County football team to advance to the State Finals in the 35 years there have been playoffs in Tennessee. Also, I think there has only been one team during that time to make it as far as the Semi-Finals. Not exactly an illustrious record.
  7. I think that stupid coach should play your son.
  8. OUCH. That one's gonna leave a mark.
  9. Its a little late for a prediction OC, but they aint kicked it off yet. I'm taking FCS 21-13. Question marks: Is this the old Collinwood or a new version (like last year)? If it is the old Collinwood, then FCS might be in trouble. I dk that much about Collinwood 2005. FCS new QB: I dont doubt he is talented, but he is inexperienced. He needs to play well to win. FCS defense: Friendship is known for their offense. Can the defense perform as hoped, or will they run around like a a bunch of crazed pygmys? They must tackle well. I dk how well the FCS defense is coached. The heat: Big factor. Which team is best conditioned? If it is close in the 4th quarter, the best legs win. I'm sure both teams have a lot of players playing both ways. We'll all know a lot more in a few hours, won't we? Cant win em all if you dont win the first one.
  10. Ain't this what it is all about? Two fierce county rivals ready to strap it on against each other. Two well-coached teams that have practiced in brutal heat for weeks. Young men in the prime of their life that will make lifetime memories. And if you haven't played high school football, you don't realize how vivid those memories can be. Lets play it. Enjoy it. Cheer like crazy for your school. Don't be negative toward your neighbors. You know they are good people too. You know them. May the best team win. I have no dog in this fight. I like and respect both teams and coaches. Good luck to both.
  11. Who are some of the top players on this Pride 14 team and what high schools will they be attending? Who led them in scoring? Any big post girls? Shouldn't most of these players be upcoming sophomores?
  12. Congratulations to Coach Insell. He has achieved unbelievable things at Shelbyville. And congratulations to MTSU for having the guts to hire him. They won't regret it. I wish them both well. It won't ever be the same again.
  13. Are there any FB coaches that still use the old idea of pushing empty cars or trucks around the parking lot? Great lower body conditioner. For advanced work, some programs put the coaching staff inside the vehicle. I knew a coach that won the championship one year because he conveniently forgot to put the car in neutral. Now that team was strong.
  14. Coach Peck shore does like those Tennessee high schoolers. Ain't there no Florida gals that want to go to Gatorville? Will be interesting to see how Florida does in SEC in a couple of years playing with several kids that UT and Vandy passed on.
  15. Is the Interim coach an applicant as well? My source tells me she may be the next coach at MTSU. Of course, he told me John Kerry would be President, and that OJ killed Nicole. He can't always be believed.
  16. Sure seems quiet out of Bedford County and MTSU. Comes down to this: If MTSU wants to have the best womens' basketball program they can, they will hire Rick Insell. If political correctness reigns, they will hire another. Lot of pressure in this day and age to not hire a 50-something, white, male, high school coach. Don't mean to offend anyone, but I believe this.
  17. M-I-C See ya real soon. K-E-Y Why? Because we love you! M-O-U-S-E. Or am I thinking about The Ted Mack Amateur Hour?
  18. Stay Tuned Mouseketeers. This cartoon might have a surprise ending.

    Warrior Classic?

bring some gopher wood when you come.
  20. Looks like Baker and French had good games for HH. Poking around the box score looking for key stats, it looked like an even game........... Except for turnovers. BA had 16 and HH had 2. 2 is pretty darn good. And a difference-maker.
  21. Very well said FCJim. And it needs to be said. Especially by supervisors/evaluators to their officials. I agree 100%.
