  1. This thread is gonna get shut down. Yall need to take this to the public private debate room. Congrats to JCS for a well played game Friday night. Offense and defense played solid football. D-Line really stepped up. Now let's strap it on and get ready for Milan to come to town Week 6.
  2. TCA played very well. Congratulations. JW is beyond impressive.
  3. The fact is that all the JCS coaches who offered input favored the move to DII. No one was thrown under the wheels of the bus.
  4. This is a really good thread except for this post. Compare the percentage of DII championship players who go on to play college football to the DI championship finals teams and get back to us. It's not watered down.
  5. We have TCA next week. Having seen both teams, would you care to make an unbiased prediction?
  6. Sorry to hear about your car, Pioneer. I wish we had an answer for the parking. It's great to see the 8AA schools travel as well as they do. The visitor bleachers were full, and your band puts on a great show. Your guys played hard last night, and your coaches are a classy group.
  7. Eagles looked good a times, but DA Williams is the real deal. He's going to be hard to catch and hard to tackle every week.
  8. He looked steady and composed. He's going to be fine with a few games under his belt.
  9. Westview played great. They had a good game plan and executed it well. Their young team looked good. Thanks to the Westview folks for your hospitality. JCS will spend this week working to correct the mistakes we made. Our guys will have it together for the trip to Nashville to compete against Davidson Academy. Pioneer, you missed your prediction, but I thought it was reasonable. If JCS takes care of the ball and avoids penalties, it's obviously a more competitive game. We can't beat good teams like Westview if we help them out all night long.
  10. FA always plays JCS tough, and has won a bunch of the matchups. Last year FA came back to tie the game at 28 after being down 28-0. JCS won on a last second field goal. Should be a hard fought game and a big Thursday night crowd. Go Eagles!
  11. Oh God, We praise You and trust You but we still don't understand why You let bad things happen to good people. Strengthen our faith. Hold close in Your arms the family and friends of this young victim. Comfort them with Your tender touch and let them know You are with them. Protect our kids from evil influences and from physical harm. Bless us as adults with vigilance and strength as we guard our children. Amen.
  12. Hey vikingfan14. Good luck this year, both at Humboldt and Bethel. How's he doing?
  13. Turnover makes it tough to build momentum. The madison team does a great job. Good luck this season.
  14. VolsKen, Congratulations, and Thank You, Brother. It's been quite a ride, and I never get tired of it. Enjoy Lambuth with Isaac.
  15. I believe I read in a newspaper that Mr. Carter was supervising all Track and Field this week.
  16. Way to go, EAGLES! Congrats to Coaches Cooper, Carson, and Smith. Another big Hats Off to Mr. Limbaugh and the good folks at Riverdale. You were exceptional hosts for the first three days of the tournament, and I appreciate the sausage biscuit Friday morning! /hungry.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":hungry:" border="0" alt="hungry.gif" />

    Riverdale

I'll second that sentiment. Coach Limbaugh and his crew have been nothing but hospitable and cordial. It's been a pleasure to be at Riverdale. Go JCS! Let's get a ring!!!
  18. 7-4 Summertown as I write. Tough day for both teams, have to play twice today. First games were long games and the sun was shining bright. Winner gets JCS on Thursday afternoon at Riverdale.
  19. That was a great game, with both teams playing well and having lots of baserunners. Summertown continued to battle. I'm just glad JCS had the last at bat. Congrats to Martin Key for the walk-off homer and the win. Best of luck to Summertown rightfielder Blake Phillips who suffered a leg injury and was transported to the hospital. Blake, JCS is praying for your recovery. Bring it home, JCS!!!!

    Class A state

River, that was a weird day last May. I got to wishing it would end before it did, that JCS could save a little for Friday. But we know how that turned out. Good luck.
