Figbar your last post about "see if Milan gets punished too" shows me something. You do not even have a clue about the TSSAA rules, and that you are just dreaming up things to say. Get a life and post facts. DC was illegal in the scrimmage, because it was a part of the probation THEY had recieved from the previous year. DC was to have no SPRING scrimmages. MILAN was allowed to have THEIR scrimmages, they were not under the probation. Milan goes to DC and scrimmages, all DC should have done is said hey we can't scrimmage and there is no problem. Get your facts together before speaking, as you make yourself look STUPID.

Trenton is a dangerous team, if Halls overlooks them they will not be #1 for long. Trenton has size, depth, speed, experience, scoring ability, and are very well coached. Halls is solid also, it should be a good matchup each gam they play. As far as Obion goes this year they will nothave a 500 record. If Greer stays though they will in the near future. The Obion victories are not that great.

What is the schedule?

Lex must survive the SS relentless pressure defense and put SS in a 1/2 court game. Lex must limit SS to one shot. If Lex has less than 10 turnovers and wins the rebound battle, they win. IfLex has more than 15 turnovers and loses the rebound stats they get blown out. SS is the quickwst team Lex will face all year.

PINKPANTHER most larger schools now have freshman teams for 9th grade only, JV usually for the better freshmen,sophmores,juniors and maybe a senior coming back from an injury, sickness, etc. and then the varsity where the best players on the team play. It gives everyone plenty of PT, and should help develop a program.

To the rest of you who have looked , but not committed, I hope you guys don't have kids, because you must be so cheap, ya'll would be the type of parents that would punish your kids for buying an "all day" sucker @ 4 p.m.

make your mind up, they either can or can't beat anyone in the state not both! Ridgeway and White Station both may have something to say whether they go undefeated in Mmphis this year. RE is a top 3 team in AA though.

This is not the best team ever @ Lex., you are not old enough to remember the best team @ Lex. Lex. is a solid team and has a slim chance of advancing to the sub-state and I do mean slim. When they do beat some good teams you can talk. Until then shoosh! One win does not make anyone a good team, it is but only a starting point.

CC was not undefeated and are in a rebuilding mode. They will finish no better than 4th in their district. When and if Lexington beats a good team they will get deserved respect. Lex is a solid well coached team. They may not beat SouthSide or Milan right now, but the district and region are both @ Lex and they have a legitimate shot at that time. Depending on what happens with Milan, they could beat Milan. If the players and COACH get it together, they will be very tough.

I have been to several games so far and the 1st 2 nights it was whistle city. there were 83 fouls called the 1st night and 71 the 2nd. Since then it is back to normal. I guess a statement was being made. As long as it is consistent, no complaints. Kids will have to learn to adjust night to night, not saying they should have to, but it seems that is how it is going to be. just like adjusting to defenses, presses, etc.

South side will win the 1st half with a swarming defense. NS will win the 2nd half and the game as SS wears down.

Justin Cagle will be a much better player in college than he will be in high school. He is improving everyday. As has been said with the right people he will develop into a good college player. He is getting many letters of interest every day, some are D1. I personally think he will end up @ Union or UTM. He is going to major in civil engineering. He is a fine young man and will be an asset to any program he chooses. Daniel Chatham will also do OK in college, but will not make the impact Cagle will eventully. I don't see Byrd, who does have potential, staying problem free and making the grades to help a program. Milan has other players that Lambuth should also be taking a look at.

A lot of the attendance is hurt on Friday and Saturday because many people go to basketball games those nights, who would normally go to the football state championships. On Sat. some can't go and get home in time for a b-ball game. I would also say the economy this year is not great either.

Lexington will be much improved this year. They will end up in the top 2 in the district and top 4 in the region. It wil be hard for them to win the regular season district against Milan. However with the district and reigonal tournaments @ Lexington their is a slight chance they could pull an upset and make it to substate, but if things go as they should that upset would be against Bolivar and I don't see it. But things don't always go as they should, that is why they play the games.

Mckenzie is picked 4th in thir district. They may make it to the region, but that is all. Mckenzie will struggle in AA. They and Camden are 2 of the smallest schools in AA. You could put Camden and Mckenzie together and not come up with a Bolivar, Dyer County and several other of the larger other schools. Good school, good coach, just not a lot of students to choose from. If the TSSAA goes to 4 classes in B Ball Mckenzie will be better off, as many othes will also.

Mitchell plays a very unusual defense. Sometimes it makes no sense the way they line up. How ever they are so quick and athletic it works. I may be wrong, but I do not se DL.s QB dropping back and throwing anything over 10 yards down the field. Mitchell is too fast. DL will have to be patient and use screen passes and deception. DL must have a solid D with the scores I have seen. The QB for Mitchell is not great by no means. The RB is very good though and will be good for some big plays. Good luck Coach Mc.

Gomab I am not sure but it does not look like Byrd is playing for Dyer County which hurts their defense, rebounding,etc. If so they are not #2. Bolivar is for real though. Westview should be at least honorable mention along with Lexington.

I have seen several West TN teams play and in single A, Halls, Trenton, USJ(when football players get there), and Greenfield in that order. I did not know pre-season games (hall of fame games) counted on regular season records. I guess for ranking purposes only is OK. Gomab Milan has beaten Humboldt and Trenton since being demolished by Bolivar and letting Haywood escape. Milan is not playing well at all right now, but did show signs of improvement against Trenton. Until Milan gets Rod Smith and Jonathan Hutkins from football they will struggle, as it makes most every one else play out of position and it also seems Coach Shepard is giving time to people who later will not see the floor.
