I would have to agree that until Ezell gets beat then they are still the number one team. Boyd Buchanan gets my second vote. They have beat 2 4A teams and havent been scored on it 10 quarters. By the way Boyd Travels to Ezell next week, both teams should be undefeated and this may be your preview to the 1A state championship game! My third goes to Cloudland, they were state runner ups and until the lose they should be a top team. Collinwood shoouldnt be in the top three from what I saw. I know that scrimmages arent always an exact of how good a team is or isnt but Boyd put it to them in August by a score of 6-2 and one score was on the second team Db's.

And like everyone has said Boyd maybe the best along with Ezell, Cloudland, and whoever else, time will tell so stop trash talking!

Just because McCallie won the state last year doesnt mean they were even that good last year. I saw them when they played at Brentwood Acadamy in the regular season and neith er team could have defeated the class 5A champion and they have lost a game this year. I am pretty sure that anspa stated that his rankings are based on the team at thier class level and who they have played and defeated, Boyd probably isnt the best team over all in the city but with who they have played and them being a single A school then they are ranked number 1.

I just wanted to comment on Boyd-Buchanan's defense. They havent been scored on in the last 10 quarters of play. They are 4-0 with wins against Rhea, East Ridge gave up 2 touchdowns in first half, and since then havent given up any pionts with wins over Whitwell 51-0, and FRA 17-0. They have 11 interceptions in 4 games and have held their opponents to below average yrds per game. They have one of the strongest defenses in 1A. They will be tested still with games against Ezell and David Lipscomb, but for now are dominating on the defense and are going to be tough to beat.

I believe that Boyd may have the best team in the history of the school, at the same time they are playing by far the hardest schedule that the school has played. Last year with the same schedule Boyd went 6-6. This year they could go undefeated but one game at a time is what they should focus on. Last year they looked ahead and got beat by Whitwell and Gordonsville. The toughest game will be Lipscomb, and Oliver Springs who are larger schools. The Oliver Springs game last year was a close one and Could have easily gone either way, The Lipscomb game on the other hand was not. Boyd will however, go undefeated in region play, hear me S.P. I think that the S.P. vs. Boyd, and the Ezell vs. Boyd game will be two of the most exciting, hyped, talked about game in 1A. Look for Boyd to have a record of 8-2, 9-1, or maybe 10-0. And for sure look for them in December! GO BUCS!!!!

As for winning with class, Boyd Buchanan and its coaches and players are some of the most classy people. Keep in mind that people that are typing these messages arent on the team and if they are they dont get any pt. and if they do play, keep in mind that they are kids and kids often times dont know when to keep their mouths shut. As for talking trash, its on thing to talk it and its a whole different story when you can back it. Boyd could and did back the trash talking they did and Whitwell couldnt. Again im talking about boyds and whitwells fans. About the whole tyner 95-3 loss, I was a player then. That was an awful game, the year before we were successful and to challenge ourselves we chose as a team to play better competition. We obviously bit off more than we could chew, but since then we have held our ground and beatin many good teams, in fact we gave tyner a good game the following year. to those who are talking crap about that loss, who are you? Do you or have you ever played football, probably not and if you did you would have been freaked out to see Tyner come to your place. And by the way didnt we beat Whitwell that year, maybe we didnt but stop running your mouths about that game, it was 97 its now 02!

Collinwood scrimaged Boyd earlier this year and unless Collinwood has greatly improved, they are not a top 3 team or even a top 5 team. Boyd beat them 6-1. Boyd buchanan has beaten not 1 but 2 4A teams who went 2 rounds into the playoffs last year. The best game in 1A this year will be Boyd at Ezell, one of those two teams will be your state championship team. As far as USJ goes I saw them i n the jamboree and collinwood could beat them and Boyd without a doubt could whipe the feild with them, that should tell you about how good CPA is. 1. Boyd-Buchanan 1. Anspa, good picks for week 1 i was unaware that list was before the game. to soddy, you didnt beat boyd 6-1 but it was 6-2. and really that wasnt a good showing of boyds talent, their numbers against rhea will be a good or better than most of the teams that play rhea county. here are my picks. 1. Anspa, it is a joke that you put rhea county in the chattanooga top ten. Friday night Boyd-Buchanan, should be a top ten team, beat them 39-20 and racked up over 500 yrds. of offense while holding the rhea county eagles to 214 yrds. Rhea county scored one touchdown on a fumble recovery and return and one on the second deffense. Boyd plays east ridge this friday and look to see Boyd defeat another 4A school, and hopefully earn some respect!

William also scored two touchdowns last night.

So what about those Bucs! Tonight they beat on one of the top 4a teams in the Chattanooga area and that makes it two years in a row. I believe this is Boyd's year. They are much stronger than last year and I am looking forward to seeing them play some more. Will Healy and his recievers are hard to stop and William Nelson is an amazing back. Will Healy is an unbeleivable qb. He throws the ball very well and even though he lost his #1 reciever, Hale, there are some great athletes on Boyds team including, Alex Jones, Ryan Heddon, to mention some others Blake Beckham and Drew Akins. I am sure that Ward is a great player, but unstopable is a bit extreme. I guess we will see Friday at 4:30, Gettim Big Willie!

I think that the passing league games dont really do much for showing what a team has or doesnt have. I think that Boyd is going to be a better team this year and I dont really know anything about Collinwood. If anyone has some info on their players I would like to hear about them. I will be at the scrimage on Friday and am way pumped about it.
