Westview is very good and should be favored. Everyone is talking about Guy and he is a great back but what about Hewett from Dresden? No one has said anything about him but no one has slowed hime down all year. Over 100 yards in all 4 games that Dresden has played. Should be another matchup of 2 of the top backs in west TN at Skyhawk Stadium. Should be fun to watch. Good luck to both teams.

What about the Hewett kids at Dresden? I've heard he is really good as well and his stats look good in the Jackson Sun.

Another HUGE game with region implications, I think it will be another close one in 7AA. I'm kind of feeling an upset in this one, I'm going with Westview. Should be a great one.

What else would we expect ICEMAN01. You always pick against Dresden, and it is the only team you post about. Why haven't you replied to the post under DHS Practice Photos? Now about this game. It is HUGE for both teams, playoff positioning and possible tie-breakers on the line. Humboldt is very good. If both play well, it should be a nailbitter. I say a toss-up with it coming down to a FG or Extra point like it did last year.

I knew something wasn't right with Southern Virginia University, I had never heard of it. So I did a search for it on Google, the best search engine. This is what I found it is Southern Virginia College, not Southern Virginia University, and the enrolement last fall was 576. There is football team but you DIDN'T PLAY there because 2003 was the INAUGURAL football season which means this is YEAR 2. So much for you playing for 4 years. So that just blows your credibility out of the water. But if you are a scout as you say, why would you be at home on the internet listening to a game on the radio instead of being at a game watching it and since Dresden is soooooooooooooo bad why would you be listening to them becauses they obviously have no players you think are worthy of being scouted. I guess you were at home because the team you scout for trust you scouting ability about like I believe anything your saying: They DON'T!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! You have sooooo many holes in your post it is ridiculus. It is starting to look like post from last fall from 2 other posters: cripp6 and JohnnytheBull. Are you the same person? Just curious. Again as I said before good luck this year in whatever you do, but please get your story straight before you post 5 different things that can't all be correct. Also get off Dresden those guys work hard and are winning some games despite what you post. Or if you want to continue to put them down why don't you just go see for yourself what is going on, all you would have to do is call the school and I'm sure they would set up an appointment. I'll be waiting this reply with much anticipation to how you dig yourself deeper and deeper in hole. You never did reply about people being offered scholarships as freshmen and sophomores, and even one in the eighth grade. Good luck.

I agree, I was at the Dresden game last year as well as this year. GC was much improved. Dresden just had 2 much speed and talent. GC has some young talent but they need to work on speed, it was an obvious weekness. GC WILL get a win this year if they continue to work and play hard. I was realy impressed with the QB. He is a very good player. Good Luck GC. Break the streak this year.

It sounds like you are saying you live in Va. then why do yu care so much about football in TN and west TN in particular. Makes me wonder where you really live. Also on an earlier post you said you were going to be coaching middle school football. Coaching middle school football is great, but most of the time those coaches wouldn't be scout for a college team. You also write that you are tired of hearing people build up Dresden and then they never win, I looked for these post and I haven't really found any where someone from Dresden was talking any different than anyone else would or has about there team at the beginning of the year. Everyone is optimistic. I'm sure you will reply as you did to the other poster. I hope you can explain these inconsistancies in your post. I'm just curious about all of it. Should be a great game. Both teams are well coached. Crockett will come out wanting to prove they can play without Earnest Williams and Westview is out to prove that last year was a fluke. Should be very close, I think Crockett by 3. Could go either way.

Iceman, where are you from? You sound as if you are obsessed with Dresden. Every post has been putting them down. Just curious as to why. Also to clarify what one poster said and you changed, they said that the "rest gave up AFTER the Milan game." This wouldn't mean that Milan won because Dresden gave up. Anyways enough of that. I think there are several teams that could surprise people this year. Camden, Humboldt, Riverside (after the way they played Crockett), and I think Westview's record will be much improved. I don't necessarily think they will be a surprise team because everyone is expecting them to be better.

Gibson beat D-burg in the Jamboree on Friday. They must be much improved and could give Dresden a tough time and might pull the upset. What does everyone else think?

Don't get all upset. I was asking a question because I don't know about these 2 teams. Yes anyone is beatable. What do you think your chances of winning the game against Dresden are? Good or not?

North Side could have help to prevent that by just not kicking the ball deep after they scored. Humboldt ran it back 70 something yards. If NS had kicked it out of bounds, Humboldt probably would ahve run out the clock. But when you are on the 20 going in you have to try and score.

That could be a big blow to the team. How long is he going to be out? What about the replacement? I think as I was watching it was #6 who was also playing WR before then and in the secondar.

Did their starting QB get hurt or did they take him out? I watched the replay on TV and I didn't see him go down so I didn't know.

I thought Dresden played better than most expected. I think they could surprise some people again this year. I think the final with the varisty was 20-13 Huntingdon. I was told that Dresden had 3 starters out and their best RB only played 2 series.

Do you know if the jamboree at USJ tonight is going to be replayed on TV or not? If so what channel and time? Last year I think it was. Thanks in advance.

I didn't say for sure I said maybe if you would read. Look what they did last year and what they have returnung, it is more than anyone else. They may not win any games or they may win them all. Obviously they coaches in the region agree to some degree since they picked them second over Westview, UC, Dresden, and Trenton. I just was wondering how they had looked in scrimmages so far this year and who they had scrimmaged.

HUmboldt should battle for the region title this year with all the players they have returning. Does anyone know how they have done in scrimmages this fall? They may be the most talented team in 7AA.

I think some of you are putting everything in to tradition. I say Milan should be the favorite, and Humboldt up there with them but everyone else could be put in a hat right now. As far as what everyone lost to graduation, I would say going on that alone that Dresden would have to be towards the middle of the pack, 3rd or 4th. They only lost 4 starters off their defense, and 6 off the offense. That is not as much as some teams. For example UC lost at least 7 offensive starters and 6 or 7 off the defense. So I don't know exactly where to put anyone but to say the Dresden is definately going to finish last is off base I believe. Again this my opinion and everyone has their own. I like the Z plan. One thing about the cost of road games, the school board where I'm from is about to charge the schools 50 cents a mile for using buses for athletics as well as having to pay the bus drivers so in that respect it is better for us to have the Z plan. I also like the idea of not have teams with a 2-8, 3-7, or 4-6 record in the playoffs.
