According to the Times free press, Tennessee Temple is dropping their football program effective immediately. Probably not a surprise to many people in the Chattanooga area.

Well I don't want to offend anyone and who really knows who has what this year but I would considor the following teams that are on their schedule 'soft' when compared to Baylor. Ringgold Ridgeland Hixson David Brainerd All I am saying is it surprised me but I can imagine scheduling games can be difficult. They used to go to touraments in memphis but that has to be taxing to have to travel out there every year. I am glad they are playing more local teams. It's good for Chattanooga soccer.

whats up with Baylors schedule this year? Ringgold, Ridgeland, David Brainerd and some other "softer" teams. They usually have a tough schedule. Will this prepare them for a state tournament run? Surprised Weekly would play some of these teams.

Thats an interesting score. Thought CSAS may be down some this year. Does Red Bank or CSAS scrimmage this week?

Red bank will have alot of students there and there will probably be a good number of non Red Bank people just there to watch a good game. They can be a very fun team to watch. Not sure if I would want to call McDuffie a roll player. Should be a good game.

Looks like McMinn Central and Sequatchie in the finals. Sequachie looked rattled in the third quarter but pulled it together in the fourth. I would think McMinn Central would give them just about as much as they could take. Good luck to both teams.

the techs were justified. (from the refs perspective) You can't do that stuff towards a ref. You can't make any motion after the first tech. He did the same thing again and got his second. Don't know how you can defend it.

I didn't see four fouls. I think he ended up with two fouls and two techs but they were not all on one play. The Hiltons have a rep with refs that they are going to react to calls. Any player/coach should know after you get a first tech you better shut your mouth and walk away. Don't think he said anything but he made another hand motion like it was a bad call and he got another one. you see this with coaches when they get their first tech. They know they have to shut up if they want to stay in the game. As far as the overall refing, they made some bad calls but the techs were justified.

just remember when hixson beat Howard in OT, Howard played without Taylor for most of the game and Buck (or is it Buck-Buck) was not eligible at the time. It will be a different game but I wouldn't be all that surprised if Hixson stayed with them for several quarters.

wow thats a big win for ER. They have been struggling lately. Thats a bad loss for grace with the two big guys and good guards. Probably be good for both teams as they enter the post season.

how about those temple fans? 4dad would have been proud. I thought both technicals were a little over the top. The ref that called the one on Marcum was on the other side of the court. Caleb was so made because the ref called Kemp out of bounds but the same guy missed an obvious step out of bounds by CSAS about 30 seconds earlier. I agree about the other guys from Temple. They got some big points from guys I dont even know. Sexton can move the ball. Does he ever dunk? Great free throw shooting by Deer. Could be a great region game come region tournament time. Maybe the region championship but Temple would have to get by Grace.
