  1. lewis has already played his 4 season of tssaa eligibility. he played 1 at antioch as a freshman and then 3 at mba where he began as a freshman.
  2. i hear that- mtsu could definately use him...i'm sure they're recruiting him already tho
  3. well put bigreddog-we need to continue to gain confidence and get experience. need some seniors or juniors to step forward as team leaders on both sides of the ball. we should keep it simple this week and not try to do too much. as always mba will be th ebetter conditioned of the two teams so you can bet we'll still be playing hard in the 4th quarter
  4. who was number 89 from the mba/riverdale scrimmage? played DE i believe and looked to be really big
  5. ok well let's talk about something i think we all agree upon. i think that dave thomas is definately the best player on the field when he's out there. what are his college options in terms of offers?
  6. i always thought this was a friendly message board- why the personal attacks on my high school and intelligence? i apologize if i make an occasional spelling error...i think you're right, my education was a waste of time. talk all you want about my school or any other school or team but let's keep the personal insults to a minimum, unless it makes you feel better
  7. who is griggs? and check my past posts and you will see that most of them point towards me being an MBA alum. i do however like rap and hip-hop though. nice try
  8. i don't understand the crow joke but i'd rather have something a little more simple to prepare like a burger or some spaghetti.
  9. i'll be holding you to that boast
  10. i hope the cpa players are reading this- riverdale's defense isn't that good, especially against a well coached and well disciplined cpa team- i still think riverdale wins by a lot. but i still like a defense that has that swagger about them
  11. so where does barry have offers from so far? if he has decent speed he could be a college receiver because he is pretty big
  12. i don't think what i am doing is criticizing- i just don't think that some teams who claim to be the top in the state, play the best available competition. there are enough good teams in this state so that teams shouldn't have to go out of state to play because they can't get a good game in state.
  13. well said- not too shabby of a football player if i remember correctly- what is his speed like? surely he's not big enough to play DE in college?
  14. i'm probably wrong, i didn't know he was captain. who will take over as leader on d, besides griffin?
  15. the scheduling is done way in advance so "whooping" or no whooping as you put it, the schedule wouldn't have changed. ask me and this goes way back to when the privates split and a game with riverdale should have been worked out for every year. and what comes out of taking the easy way out?
  16. so he knows football after one year? he must be good
  17. right on 82cat- why is riverdale playing cpa? if they truly believe they have a monster team this year they can definatelyt step up the competition level a bit. dare i say a game against brentwood academy or mba?
  18. i don't see parker cason getting hurt as that big of a loss to BA- he was a good player but his loss definately doesn't destroy their defense. i have no idea if this is true or not but I'd think he would be the person on defense receiving the signals and calling the plays so thats not good to lose. but i think that terrell murphy(again i don't know if he plays LB or not but I think he does?) is a lot more of a physical player and stronger than Cason. Why not move Tyler Griffin in there?
  19. until they have a losing season i am forever convinced they are #1 in the nation...awful about the player getting shots- keep him in our prayers
  20. could a riverdale supporter comment on the chance that this is the best riverdale team ever?
  21. For those who saw the game- I didn't see much of a drop-off in performance between Brian Brohm and #2 from this year's Trinity team. He threw a very nice ball and had great touch on the long passes. Their running game never really broke it open...I think they had only 59 yards on the ground which was due to good linebacker play from the Big Red. MBA had trouble getting a pass rush going against Trinity's half-roll but had good pressure on blitzes and stunts. MBA had all sorts of secondary problems- early season woes. Good Luck to Trinity this season. I am about to find the Louisville paper and read what they wrote(awful Tennessean coverage).
