i have been watching this topic with interest for some time now, and i have to say these few people who keep throwing this up are ridiculous. They also must not be too bright because they haven't learned that no matter how many times you say something it doesn't make it true (as in pay for play that is the biggest bunch of crap i have ever heard)! as yellowjacket correctly pointed out West plays more players (by far) than anyone else in the IMAC. if you truly cared about the kids on the team you wouldn't be on here running the coaches down. it seems like all you care about is trotting out your "hurt feelings" under an assumed name.

Threads like these make me laugh. People on here talking trash about the 2 teams and what they are going to do. My guess is that most of people making these statments don't play for their respective teams. This reminds me of 2 elementary school kids on the playground in a "my daddy can beat up your daddy" argument!

Dude you obviously hate Morristown West and I could care less, you probably should hate them being a Jeff County supporter. However, don't get on here and talk about class while Jeff County goes out and routinely drops 50 and 60 + plus points on the South Doyle's and Cocke County's of the world.

I have some friends in that area and they said that Wal-Mart bought the land where the old school used to be located for like 50 million dollars and wisely they turned around and put almost all of it back into the school. Extremely impressive the locals call it "The University of Dorman."

It might do the Hurricanes some good to worry about Campbell County, Powell, Lenoir City, Cocke County, and Carter before they worry about Morristown West.

In East Tennessee it would have to be Don Woods at Morristown West. Just look at the record before and after he arrived.

You mean the way Jeff County does. Let's look at Jeff's non-conference schedule Mo. West (4A), Rhea County (4A), Cocke County (4A), and until they dropped them Morristown East (4A). The only 5A teams Jeff plays are in there region because they are made to. Also, if they had it the way they really wanted it Plan Z would have passed so they could try and beat up more 4A teams and qualified for the play-offs without playing a single 5A team! Your hatred of West is tired, move on to something else or get a life.

West may have the same coaching staff as last year, but Jeff. Co sure doesn't, and nobody missed that.

Dude all you have done is whine since the game was moved from last night. Everyone else it seems has come to grips with it. As for the Hillsboro coaches being in the stands they won't be able to pick up anything they couldn't get off game tape and they have played Maryville the last 2 years in the finals so I don't think any big secrets exist between those two. Even your own coach said in the Knoxville papers this morning that Maryville would rather play on a good field and it wouldn't affect them. Either cheer up and come to the game or stay at home and sulk!

Most of the Maryville fans on here have class, but it is a few of you and statements like the one above that makes people pull against Maryville. Y'all will lose again one of these days and a great deal of your fans will need to step up and eat the crow that will come your way.

Same old tired argument from the Greene Devil faithful. Oh pity us Morristown West has more players! Maybe that is because they work hard to keep them involved instead of highlighting 1 player. Oh yeah, the last time I checked GHS takes tuition students, which means they get the pick of the litter from Greene county. The next complaint y'all will pull out is that y'all should be playing in 3A instead of 4A. My response is PLAY IN 3A! Oh yeah that means you would have to battle AE, Fulton and Anderson County every year and I am sure you don't want none of them. Also all 3 of those teams traditionally field more players than the Devils, I guess that means they would beat y'all because they were only bigger not better! I think I am goin to send a big block of cheese to GHS this Christmas to go along with all that whine you have up there.

In all play-off games, in the first and second rounds the higher seeded team shall be the host school. In the third round and semifinals in odd-numbered years the top team in each bracket shall the the host team. In even-numbered years the procedure shall be rotated in the third round and semifinals. However, in the third round if two teams from the same region play each other, the higher seeded team shall be the host.

I like this board but so much time on here is wasted contemplating "what ifs?" I am not a fan of either team, but I will do my best to attend the Tenn. High-Morristown West game this friday. It should be a good matchup.

a lot of the complaining I think has to do with frustration. Coaches, players and true fans invest a great deal into the season, and are understandably upset when it is over. Sometimes emotion gets the best of all of us. After people cool down they usually can see and focus on the good things that happened during the year instead of dwellin on the bad.

I guess all that trash that Ridgeway talked before the season about how they would dominate in 4A was just that.
