Hard to believe East didn't kick a FG to tie the game from the 5. Must not have much confidence in the kicker, or a great deal of confidence in the offense.

JC4life, Not everyone sees it that way. I am a huge Morristown West fan, and I have no problem saying that Jefferson County won because they earned it. They forced those turnovers and took advantage of them, that is what good teams do. I also want to congrulate #54 (Yeary) he played one of the best games I have ever seen a high school linebacker play. It seemed like he made every tackle. Good luck to Jefferson County on the rest of their season. The Trojans are working hard to re-group and I believe they will. We don't need to make excuses when we get beat.

Congratulations to Jefferson County. They played better and deserved to win. No excuses from this Morristown West fan. Call me a fool, but I believe the Trojans have a lot of great kids on their team and they will respond to this adversity.

I think the Jefferson County vs. Greeneville opener will be really interesting. 2 proud programs with 2 new coaches.

It was Morristown High School that won the State Championship. Morristown West didn't exist at that time. It would be awesome if they would combine back into 1 school here in Morristown again. It was solve a lot of problems IMHO. Think what kind of team a unified Morristown would have this year!

They bashed Lussier on here when he was the HC. Now it just happens to be Coach Stevens. Same old broken record. You can't make everyone happy as a coach.

The rumor that keeps going around is that this is Coach Anderson's job. The rest is just a formality. It will be interesting to see how this plays out.

I am going to go out on a limb and say that when Maryville does lose again statements like these are one of the major reasons why many people on CoachT will celebrate!

This is insanity if it goes through! Political correctness run amuck. I wonder where this group that is making this "complaint" will be if these schools do have to change mascots and have to foot the bill to change all of their uniforms, signs, etc? They will be nowhere to be found I am sure!

I don't hate Maryville, I do respect them and what they accomplish every year. However, it is very frustrating to lose to them every single year (I root for Mo. West)! I also found Coach Blade's remarks very interesting. I have thought for some time that Maryville could compete with a lot of "big name" high schools around the country. It is interesting to hear that a coach thinks so also.
