  1. Ohio Football must be something because I think Moeller ended the season with 5 losses. Interesting that given all the local teams that MBA has played McGugin uses a comparison of a 5 loss team. Not meant as sarcasm, but respect for Ohio Football. Probably reading too much into his statements....Ohio HS football is good though
  2. I guess that BS that Mathis tried to feed everyone that he would keep CC and Tullahoma in the same district was just smoke and mirrors........... Don't think one person can make the decision on who plays where........but agree that CC should be in region w/ FC Shelby, Tull etc. Cumberland Co and White Co would be hard to place anywhere without getting complaints. Lebanon would be my choice to play in region w/ White Co. Cookeville, etc and Coffee Co. move in old CTC group.
  3. MBA will not be looking ahead.......MBA wins.
  4. Don't know how FC could lose with all those D-1 players on the team that I read about at the beginning of the season. That being said... FC should win. This is the weakest team on their schedule. The first year coach at FC will do fine if given the opportunity to build the program the way he wants. Expectations were high for a coach in his first year with the program. He has no leaders on the field which has plagued FC in recent years.
  5. Aren't you the person that posted about Franklin Co. and quality of game film? If so, for a Tull fan you sure like to give opponents bullatin board material.
  6. I love High School football in general. Oakland , Riverdale, Alcoa, Franklin County, Tullahoma,Smyrna,Cookeville,Moore County, etc. Keep up the good work and don't be a fair weather poster. Amen..........Gotta drop Smyrna from the list tho
  7. I remember Pee Wee and Dizzy singing Walbash Cannon Ball every Sat. Only baseball game on TV, Sat afternoon.
  8. Don't know how Ensworth got in the mix.
  9. You know scared alright, runs in the family. Didn't open thread until this morning, took 45 min to read thru this garbage. Only about 1/3 of thread concerning football. I commend 5A and Pedro for your loyalty, Binns and Steve. Outside of that, usually see stupid posts from CC when reading up on CC but Hawg and catdaddy are winners ( looooosers ) today. I've lived in both towns, good people with passion to support their teams in both places. Shame there are always a few that give each community a bad wrap by their posts and destruction of personal property. About the game, thought going in that Tull was better team. Tull QB had all day to throw and was better all round on both sides of the ball. CC needs to regroup and move on. You lost to a better football team. No shame in that, just pride feeling a little bruised for awhile. Alot of season left to improve and get better.
  10. Not sure Hillsboro's defense is strong enough to hold down MBA. Jordan and Crutcher would help. I do think that Hillsboro can score points on MBA but not enough to win. Should be a good game to watch.
  11. MBA wins......game will be close than expected. MBA wins.....game will be close than expected.
  12. Officiating will keep T-town in check. Hard for teams outside of metro to come in and win unless they are far better. If both teams are close in ability, give the edge to metro.
  13. You have got to be kidding me the ONLY way "Saint Olive" wins is when he has more athletes on the field than the other team. I will agree with Cookeville though. Joslin's boys play over their head many times. Spoken like someone who regularly gets beat by Tull..... must be from CC or FC.
  14. wasn't the last coach out of the playoffs a week sooner at his new school? This is a stupid statement, nuff said........the only team that was going to beat Hillsboro ( before Mboro anyway ) was Hillsboro themselves....they had too many games under their belt to play that poorly in the quarter finals of the playoffs. Nothing new though......each year, arguably the best teams do not get to the playoffs.
  15. We need a coach whose teams over-achieve, not someone who wins when he has talent and loses when hedoesn't. Someone whose teams compete with teams that are bigger and faster than his own. Mid state coaches that would fit this need would be at Giles Co. Tullahoma, Cookeville and Marshal Co.
