I saw the match with Fairview and Forrest. Burch from Fairview was just aggresive and the other kid couldnt take it. Wrestling is a sport where u get banged and bruised. Burch did nothing wrong and I agree with Kevin he should have ran the move 10 or 20 more times. That was a match to determine who was going to state and obviously Fairview wanted it alot more than Forrest.

What is the Fairview 275 seeded in the tourney?

Hudgins lost to Sycamore in the final end for getting 3 penalty points in the last 30 seconds of the 3rd period. He gave up 1 point for grabbing fingures and another 2 points for pushing the guy off of him when they were out of bounds.

How does everyone think this one will turn out? Fairview is still not playing to the best of their ability, I know it and you can ask anyone who keeps up with the boys. Stopping the run is looking good for the Jackets, but it still looks like they are struggling with the pass even though they had 4 interceptions last week against Montgomery Central. They will need to get a good pass rush against Harpeth and be able to contain Gann at qb. Fairview does have a better OL and DL, but still has room for improvement. If the can shut down the qb then they be just find, and keep the ball rolling and end up 2-0 in the region and 3-2 in their schedule!

I went an watched the boys play the other night. They looked as if they had turned it around and played to about their full potential. They did completely dominate Richland, being up 28-0 at halftime and takin the starters out afters scoring one more time on the first drive. I think the Jackets will come out on top against Montgomery Central, with it being homecomming and everyone comming out to watch them after being on the road for 3 weeks.They are also passing alot more this year with passing for 80 yards with 4-5 of Dusty England Friday night and over 200 against Westmoreland. After Montgomery Central the rest of their schedule will be all region games , starting off with Harpeth, Waverly, Lewis County, Loretto , and finishing off with Cheatam County. This week will be a test to see if the can keep the ball rolling or if they will fall to another big school.The real test should come against Lewis County to see if this is the same team as last year or if it is a new and improved Fairview as some people has been saying. I've talked to a few of the players and they told me that yes they almost lost the game , but they have much room for improvement. Fairview did not play as well as they could last week. If you were to ask any of the players they would tell you that they did not play up to the best of their ability.They had alot of penalties, which really hurt them and I think it was just bc of it was the first game of the season and they had to get the kinks out .They had a few big plays get called back bc of stupid flags. Hopefully Joe Hudgins will be able to play this upcomming week. He was carried off the field in an ambulance and hopefully he will be able to come back and play. Their defence did pretty good in the first half to hold Hickman Cnty. But if they didn't have so many penalties then I they would have beaten Hickman alot worse, and if they can keep them down an play to their full potential then they should be able to come off with a win.

Come on now Fairview 13 -8 against Hickman Cnty. My boys are alot better than anyone out there is expecting them to be , haha , I just can't wait till everyone sees.

What does everyone think of this game? I would have to say Fairview 35-7.

Naw you would only be able to do that if your school did not have football, so then you could go to another school in that county to play. Other wise you would have to move to that county or place to play or be ineligable for one year.

I know Lewis Cnty lost some guys and Loretto lost practically everyone. Alot of people say Fairview lost alot of guys, but the real only lost to me was a couple of wide recievers and Cothran. They should be able to hold their own with the team they have. Their team should be better than last years team.

Didn't Waverly loose almost everyone? I went and watched the Fairview game vs Waverly in week 10 last year, and didn't Waverlys running back get hurt on the last play of tryin to run up the score and he wasn't able to play in the playoffs?To me thats not that good of coaching, it is very poor why would u try to run it up , just take a neal and let the clock tick out .

I do think teenagers are preasured to. Star athletes at your school or people who just start, everyone looks up to them and everyone is always lookin at them. I know that if an athlete gets in trouble the whole town knows but if some other kid in school gets in trouble no one knows. Athletes have to watch what they do and what the say at all times bc they can be judged so easily. I think the love for the game is still there in some stand points. Some athletes I know stay up half the night on Thur. , bc they cant sleep and they are thinkin about Friday night, then they wake up and are fresh. Some even go out with the team the night before and prepare that way. But not all has lost the love only guys who go out and exspecting to loose on Friday nights !

Who are going to be some of the baddest lineman on offense and defense this year in 2A? I would prefer from every region if someone could give me a brake down of that .

I know that Loretto High School and Fairview High School are big rivalries. A couple of years ago there was a fight between two players. Just last year Fairview did not want to shake Lorettos teams hand b/c of the dirty play that Loretto does, there was almost a fight after that game. I think if it keeps up something will definatley happen this year , due to last year and the years in the past !

I think think this year it will come down to the two teams Lewis County and Fairview. Alot of the other teams in the region lost alot of guys. Both Lewis and Fairview lost some, but they should be the two up for the title. Fairviews line should be the best in years.Even though they are trying to replace Cothran they should still be good . With Lewis County they lost some key players , but they still have David Sharp at qb which, is one of the best in the state.

I think Mckenzie is a good team. I did see Mathis play a few times and he didn't seem that much of a show stopper. I think the Rebels will be fine without him. In the First Round last year they did not go up against the same Waverly team everyone else did the whole season they had their starting running back hurt from the week befor against Fairview. In Round Two , I think that McKenzie had alot more heart than Fairview did . In Round Three Lewis County just played bad and the Rebels capitilized on it. Round Four was quite a show to watch for them only loosing to the running up state champs. Which I think The Rebels , Lewis County , Fairview , or anyone could have given them a better game Mitchell did. I think that Mckenzie will make it pretty fare in the playoffs again this year.

Fairview should be better than they were last year. They have alot bigger line and alot more talented, and should make it fare in the playoffs.

When and where are these two teams getting together and what are they doing ?

How is Fairview looking this year ? I know they lost alot of players last year and alot of talent. How are they looking in the weightroom and I was wondering will they have a shot at the region title this year?

The two guys that I am going to be watching are T.T. Harper and Aaron Cothran.These were the top two running backs in the state and both were up for Mr. Football in 2A and 3A. Now lets see how each one of them do against the rest of TN.

I went and wathed the 2A state championship game. To me at the time Mitchel looked like they could play some ball, but I guess I was wrong. You just don't get into the finals getting lucky. You do have to earn it no matter what anyone else says. Some teams do get caught up in the action of just being in the finals, but that should be no excuse, you are playing for what every player in high school plays for in no matter whatever sport it is and thats a shot at the big show ! To me Liscomb was a really good team and the best in the state till someone proves them different. For Mitchel I give them respect for getting in the championship, but I think other 2A teams could have given Liscomb a better game than Mitchel did.
