Columbia's team had the speed, size, and athletes times 2 then what was expected, columbia is in my oppinion a very underrated team....yeah lawrence county did not make the plays necessary to win and there tackling was awful... but that was columbia now they are up against GC. Lawrence county will win this game... becuz they remember how they felt about 10pm friday nite and they wont wanna feel like that again... my brother plays for Law co.(#2) and i know he hasnt forgotten about friday nite...he told me that he wants to go out and boost the morale of the fans friday nite and put the columbia game in the shadows against GC becuz of the awful performance that he and his team had friday. Look for law co. to have a great game and put GC away for the 2nd year in a row. LC- 24 GC- 13

This game will be determined by turnovers in my oppinion, i think Columbia has more athletes like they always do... but i think lawrence county can beat em mentally....this game could go either way. it will come down to who has the legs in the 4th quarter to make that late drive to win the game.

yeah it its weird that the cowbell game isnt the first game but, its becuz they always play them on week 1 this year they are startin early and playing on week 0, but i think lawrence county will be really good as long as they can keep starters on the field... but they have a lot of tough players some players just wont let injury keep them off the field. Look for them to be a top 4 contender, and yeah they start wit Columbia 2 weeks from Friday (august 6th) so all LCHS fans come watch and support them... today they are scrimmaging Lewis co. im going to watch them play at 4pm. Kit was good, but they have got so much depth that they got his spot filled now. Go Cats

Your right Lawrence Co. has quite a bit of talent coming back, despite the fact they lost 16 seniors, but your right Lawrence co. comes out strong wit 2 key players that really set the tone of this defense, Adam Cozart a 3rd year starter has really looked good in practice and in the spring scrimmage he also starts FB and likes to rumble a lot, another threat that Quarterbacks are gonna turn over in there sleep about is.. big Adam Thompson at 6'5" 315lbs he is a big guy but thats not all, he posted 17 tackles and 5 sacks in the spring scrimmage against Tullahoma. He looks to impress some people this year. there defense has many athletes that ive saw in practice, they look to have a lot more speed and power then last year. There offense will be interesting they have 2 speed rbs and have a workhorse Fb, the offensive line is young but smart and can do their jobs. The QB has recievers that he can connect with using his strong arm, and has plenty of mobility. As a fan of Lawrence co., i think finally this could be the year that they make it to the playoffs, Take care of business First. Go Cats I'll be Watching

Columbia has lost a lot they have one maybe two tailbacks back but they lost a lot of lineman i think they have maybe one or two back on offense and defense, correct me if i wrong.

I saw the scrimmage friday, both teams looked good but lawrence co. looked stronger especially there defense. Good effort by both teams good luck during summer workouts.

this tournament will be decided on who gets hot at the right time, my pick to give this district tournament a surprise will be lawrence co. look at their games against coffee co, they are swinging the bats really good now and their pitching has stepped up a little and they look to be all on the same page. But they will have to come out strong against columbia to beat them, if they can manage someway to sweep them, they will be in a good position for the tournament. This district tournament will be full of surprises.

A scrimmage involving 2 teams from this region( if im not wrong) Lawrence co vs Tullahoma - May 7 It should be a great game, but if im not wrong district tournament (baseball) starts on this day so it could be a factor if some regular starters arent there. as longball was sayin this region is up in the air except hillsboro (they put out every year) there will be some really good games this season, 1-8 there will be some good games in there. Huntington-36 Lewis co. -14 who is this running back from huntington? i heard he put up 291 yds off of 14 carries and he also had 6 touchdowns and all of this in only 3 qtrs. of play Lewis co. beat harpeth this year 28-12 huntington beat harpeth 60-12

this game will be won by the team that shows the most leadership and wants it the most. my prediction lewis co. edges mckenzie 28-21 after 2 overtimes. but with the way my predictions are it will turn out as a blowout.

ok when u say few i cant think of a game he was held to few yards one word speaks for this lewis co. offense SHARP as in David Sharp i think after this year is up (his senior season) they will go down in offense and they will lose basically their whole defensive line after this season but ive heard about their freshmen and 7th 8th grades teams and they will have a good team once again when their time comes. the only time i saw sharp held to no yards at all they played law. co. in a 4 offensive possession scrimmage he tried running 5 or 6 times but was stopped for minimal gains and he was also sacked 6 or 7 times that game. i know scrimmages arent the same as a game but like i said thats the only time i know of sharp being held to hardly nutin the only comments on the lewis. co. vs. Mckenzie game is ive seen lewis co. play several times in the last 3 years and its the same if Mckenzie comes out throwin the ball and spreads out the Defense (ughh oh might be a long nite) defensively Mckenzie has to come in with at least 8 guys in the box heck i would run a 5-4 defense on this team if u stop their run they cant beat you. what are the 2 biggest wins for both of these schools Mckenzie and Lewis co. during the regular season? The winner of this game takes momentum deeper into the playoffs. but i think Carlos "..." (lewis co. kicker) comes through with 2 game winning field goals in a row 20-19 lewis co wins this one.

who will win this game? i dont know much bout these two teams but overton usually has a good team although white co. has surprised some people i think overton will win this game but it will be a close one.

im not gonna say ne thing else cuz u cant compare these 2 teams cuz they are in 2 different divisions. lewis co. is 104-23 in 10 yrs including playoffs, law.co. is 31-69 yeah scrimmages are just preseason warmups but trust me lewis co. would not kill law.co. much less westmoreland or cheatham, not this year like i said 4a is not comparable to 2a, lewis co. is a good size 2a school, law.co. is a small 4a school, that could be a reason lewis co. is in and law.co is out of playoffs every year. lewis co. has been to the playoffs i know at least every year since 93' and law.co hasnt been at all since 93'. i will say it whatever sharp does to those boys is good, to have all these winning seasons, and i think we are starting to get goin wit the new head coach david marston, it would be nice to see these teams play again next year or the year after that in the regular season cuz it would be a battle but i think we just missed out on a good game this year. i know columbia is in Law co.'s region and law.co. has them this friday nite, do u think that this years lewis co. team could beat columbia?

i agree lewis co. has the tendency to drop teams but u said that law. co. dropped lewis co. why would we drop lewis. co. and add Hillwood as a non region game, as for what i saw law. co. defense didnt let lewis co.'s offense have more than 70 yds total in a scrimmage, also sharp was sacked at least 6 times earlier this year in that scrimmage and when i say that i mean the first stringers not the 4th and 5th. and law. co. passed all over lewis co, im wit these guys yeah lewis co. is 7-0 but they have nutin to show for it, hey next time u want to find a replacement for law.co. or another 4a team try givin somebody thats a top notch in 5- 4a hillsboro, or hillwood a call then tell us about ure 7-0 start. state champs is out of the picture unless u pull out some luck

this game has a lot on the line for both teams in region playoff birth, columbia 3-1 in region play could be in the playoffs with a win this friday, a loss would mean gettin another region win (tullahoma or spring hill) and getting help from shelbyville by beating lawrence co. lawrence co. 2-2 in region play could be in playoffs with a win this friday and another region win (shelbyville or overton) , a loss this friday would mean they would have to beat shelbyville and overton to even get consideration for playoffs but we are 3 weeks from knowing whos goin to the playoffs so a lot can happen to change this. this may not be exact but i put a lot of thought in this. this game will be a war becuz of the playoff situation lawrence county hasnt been to the playoffs in about 15 years, i believe, and im sure they will be pumped and ready for this game, especially since all but 1 injured player will be returning. this game will be won by who has enough heart and fight in them, this game will be settled in the 4th quarter, a turnover will lead to the win.

lewis co. is undefeated so far, but there strength of schedule dont impress me eventhough they beat cheatham co. last week. mistakes will be a big factor in this game but lewis co. will win once again cuz thats all they know how to do.

this game will really test lawrence co. this friday, hillsboro who i think will end up in the state championship once again has 3 backs with over 500 yds rushing if im not mistaken, lawrence co. averages the least amount of pts given up per game in their region including hillsboro. so that really shows that there defense can play, and the only game i was mad at was the white co. game our defense did not come to play but if LC gives a very strong effort that meaning the DTs to contain the big fullback of hillsboro and the ends and LBs to contain the speed RB(easy said then done) then i think this game will not be as bad as looked at. overall hillsboro most definately has the size advantage but size dont always matter its who comes out and plays but that decision will be made up on friday nite and we will just have to wait and see. prediction: LC brings the effort but Hillsboro takes the win Lawrence co. 14 Hillsboro 24 where are these teams most vulnerable at on Offense and Defense?
