hallsfan, You are right about the ability to throw and catch. We have it and we need to use it more. Now when you talk about Sheppard not throwing the ball, I agree again. But someone just pointed out to me that most of the QB's and wr's in the top career stats are from the 90's and early 2000's. They must have thrown the ball more than we think they did (Rutherford,Sheppard, Lucas, Mabe, Jenkins, Byerly), (Helton, Weaver, Loy). Now I don't know if this is right, these are just names that were mentined to me. I haven't seen a program to know if this is true. I will stand corrected when someone has factual details.

Don't know if this is true, but I was told the last time Clinton beat Halls was in '92 and they beat our Devils twice. The last time was to go to the State Championship Game in the 'Boro.

Hey Baboon, When did Clinton pick up Fulton and Alcoa to play? When did they pick up DB to play? If they picked any of those schools, you need to check out the idiot that made out the schedule. Our region is hard enough without adding these three schools.

divercity, Did I understand you were going to work with some of the kids at Halls, teaching them some of the proper techniques about lifting, nutrition, etc.? And then those kids were going to teach the others. I don't know if that sounds like something KJ would let go on. Why wouldn't you teach the coaching staff?

Divercity, You seem to be up to snuff on the weight program idea, why don't you get KJ to hire you on as a trainer for the football program? Someone else mentioned we had 90%+ working out this summer and that is great. But with so many young ones playing isn't it hard for them to develop physically like the juniors and senior would?

Right now we are just trying to get back to .500. Next week vs. Powell we will make it 3 in a row (Kearns, Clitoris, Powll).

I am not saying YOU are bashing players or coaches. Our community does enough of that as it is. I do think the coaches put together a plan that THEY feel is best for the players that they have on hand each and every Friday night. What expertise do you OR I for that matter have to judge a gameplan? How do you judge a game plan? I say keep the offense and defense and find a way to make it better. Adjust is one thing, wholesale changes is something different. I thought from watching last years games. we played a fair amount of people once we had the game under control. Whether Sheppard was/is a good man is not the question. What he would in this situation is not the question. The question is what will Coach Julian do? Will he make wholesale changes? I don't know, but I would like to have been in the fieldhouse this weekend when the coaching staff got together. Bet there was some youknowwhat hittin' the fan.

zcar, You talk about not bashing the coaches and the community moaning. Did we not run the same offense last year? Our record was 7-3 with a first round playoff loss. Why is the "system" not working this year? Is it coaching, talent level, combination of the two? If the same system is working on the 9th & JV levels then how can the system not be right for us. Who really cares what the community thinks the offensive scheme should be? I will tell you this, if the coaches at any school start trying to please any community, you are asking for trouble. I say shut the heck up, get behind the players, get behind the coaching staff. If you ever watched an old John Wagon movie, "you better circle the wagons pardner". Don't let no one in, don't let no one out. This BS about the players and the community moaning. At most schools they don't run the program but it seems like at Halls they keep trying. hhsbball12, you say Sheppard was not your favorite. That's OK, I can live with that. You really surprised me with your next comment. You thought about coming back last year, but with returning starters (11) you didn't think you would get much playing time. That does not sound like a team player to me. Could you not have played on offense or special teams. If you were good enough to play as a 9th gradeer, why don't you think you could have helped last year OR THIS YEAR for that matter. Maybe I'm wrong but don't you play the game for the love of playing, not because you like OR dislike the coaches or a coach in particular?

This is not a pull against your region, thought D.A. This isa rational reasoning pick. No way can Powell beat Farragut. Picking Powell to win would be like picking Ohio to beat USC. Maybe even you can understand that rational, D.A.

Well boys, just got home from church. I must admit, I prayed for our football team and coaches. We are seriously looking at 2-3 wins at most. hhsbball12, lets hurry up and get this season over with and get to some basketball right. Why didn't you ever go back and play football - I remember you playing a lot when you were a freshman? I think you might have even started some. I know you are close to the current players. What is their take on all of this? I'm not going to ever bash the coaches, but it seems like we have some internal problems? One last thing - our stadium looks terrible. Holes in the fence (some are covered up by signs), grass isn't being kept the way it used to be. What is the deal? Who is responsible for the crappy conditions?
