I saw Temple play against CAK early on. They have a very athletic QB and at least one very athletic receiver. I think they both are on the basketball team. One is a Skoggins kid. I don't know if I spelled his name correctly, but his older brother was Mr. Basketball a couple of years in a row, I think. At the time they were not very physical though. I think that Celina will beat them if they make the game physical.

It seems that former Dragon Tony Shcultz down at Central Gwinette in Gorgia would be an excellent choice to come back home and take control of the Orange and Black.

Coalfield's Brandon Foster could be listed here. 6'5" 230 lbs. Soft hands. He needs to work harder before he can be mentioned with the best, though. The potential is there.

Is this game still at Cosby? Heard they had a new field this year. Is it ready?

I saw Rockwood last night. Wartburg will destroy them.

I would like to know who is the best sports writer around. I need to sing the praises of our own KingBrian. He works very hard to get the kids of Morgan County the press they want and deserve. He works along with other local papers to get the best coverage he can on all games involving Morgan County teams and players. He is always around the kids and is very visible in the communities. Any pick or prediction he makes is going to step on the toes of someone, but still he does his thing. He tries to give each team equal billing. He works very hard and I for one am proud that he does what he does for high school sports in the county.

I don't know what this guy's problem with Morgan County is. I have been to Harriman. There is not a lot to brag about. I'll pick the dogs big in this one. I just think that the new offense at Sunbright may have trouble playing catch-up if Wartburg starts fast. Cant wait to see both teams across from us this year. Wartburg next week and Sunbright in early October. Morgan County may not have the biggest schools, but that doesn't mean that our kids care to win any less or don't work as hard.

I am waiting on the ratings too.

I am from east Tennessee and I had the pleasure of watching Celina in Coalfield's tournament and I also got to see them against Temple. I would like to commend the players and the coaches for the class that you show. You really do your school, community and your parents proud by the way you handle yourselves. It was a pleasure to watch you play. You all hustle all the time. I think you should hold your heads very high for the effort you put out. #4 (Chad, I think) puts in more hustle in one trip down the floor than most of today's kids put forth in an entire game.
