  1. What about Soddy-Daisy, they beat you....give them a little love
  2. YOu're wrong Tribefan.....Soddy Daisy beat ooltewah last night 14-12. There was a three way tie for first......ooltewah, soddy daisy, mcminn all with 2-1 records....ooltewah was not interested in playing saturday so mcminn got the nod for the championship b/c they beat soddy daisy
  3. Shut up and Play?????????? Did you finally Shup up?
  4. where's all the Beech fans now, great teams don't beat the favorite then take the next two games off, I guess they are on they're way back to Hendersonville....Go Big Blue
  5. Lydell was just a year behind Jarvis.....oh well, thats neither here nor there. The fact is Bill is one heck of a coach and as long as you can keep him at Coffee County you all will be competitive......If he ever leaves or you all run him off we will take him back at Soddy in a hurry, after weathers retires...haha, or he can be his defensive coordinator. Coach Price knows how to run a program and to motivate his players...Did you play for Coach price at Soddy, Golden Eagle? Just curious?
  6. What's the spring schedule for the big blue? What's the insider's views on who will replace Gary Orr? Is Rickets staying at reciever I hope or is there talk of moving him to Q-back?
  7. Good posts Louie, Soddy-Daisy's last winning season before Bill Price was 1985, His first year was a losing season and after that they won every year he was there, losing to Jeff. COunty his last year in the playoffs in the 3rd round, which was his last year at Soddy. If he had stayed one more year he would have led that team to a state title, (they lost to Riverdale 14-10 in the playoffs the year after he left) Daniels never had a winning season at Soddy-Daisy, his last year he had four players sign college scholarships, and still only went 4-6. Soddy Daisy never made the playoffs before Price, he laid the foundation and got the program turned around, not too mention the great facility he helped to get built for the school and the football program......Too young to remember Coach Price, not hardly.....as for him coming back to Soddy-Daisy, we'll welcome him back with open arms when COach Weathers retires, or he can be Coach Weather's D-Coordinator right now.....
  8. Yeah, Soddy-Daisy was a winning program when he took over and Coffee County was too. Let's see he won at Bradley his second year after having losing his first year. We all know whats happened at bradley and it's named walker valley, so try to have a little more sense with some of your remarks. Coach price would be a excellent coach for ooltewah, if they don't think he works them too hard. haha... what exactly do you have against him anyways?
  9. Bill Price will be the next coach at Ooltewah.
  10. Some of us have a life and are not 24/7 Coach T'ers, Mnewballer.........Soddy played a great game but its hard to win in the Crossville Invitational. last night Bradley had 5 players foul out and 4 technicals.............tonight Soddy has 8 team fouls first half Crossville 2, second half Crossvile has 4 team fouls, Soddy 12......will be interesting to see the fould situation tomorrow night when Mcminn and crossville play, the officials didn't cost Soddy the game though.....Just would have liked to seen the fouls evened up a little bit.... Soddy had several chances to take the lead and squandered several good scoring opportunities down the stretch....the cumby kid can play, he's quick as a cat...Hats off to coach Shoemate and his players for putting some excitement back in basketball at Soddy Daisy.......with the players he has returning next year could be a great year for them....
  11. wow, you mean the dark horses lost, hard to figure out how you're district champ and a dark horse......beware of the real dark horse tommorow, the Trojan Horse, with it's captain Ron "the wizard" Shoemate leading them up the mountain

  14. WELL IN 1919 SODDY WON THE STATE CHAMPIONSHIP DENLRON, WHAT DO YOU THINK ABOUT THAT? PLEASE GIVE US A BREAK, ON ONE POST YOU SAY YOU ARE A OOLTEWAH FAN AND NOW YOU SAY YOU GRADUATED FROM SODDY.....ARE YOU LAURA WOOD?
  15. Just think how good those team (lance, bobby, nida) would have been with Shoemate as head coach.
  16. If i'm not mistaken do we not have Cleveland, Bradley, Brainerd all on the same side of the bracket, meaning only one of these teams can make it to the finals. Could this be setting the scene for some Ron SHoemate magic on the other side?
  17. Brainerd by 10 or more, you don't pick against them at home in the tournament
  18. Brainerd survives a big scare in overtime and hangs on to win by 8 i believe. the lead changed hands probably 4-5 times in last 2 minutes of regulation with Soddy's Mcneil going length of floor and hit a running jumper with one second left to force overtime. Brainerd went out to a 8 point lead in overtime b/4 Soddy hit 2 three pointers to cut it to two. Soddy was going for the steal with a minute left, down two, place going crazy, and a player from Soddy gets called for a questionable foul. He turns around, doesn't look or say a word to the ref and hits the floor with his hands, so he gets called for a Technical. Brainerd iced it with four foul shots and then two more when they got the ball after the Tech. It was a very good game, it was a shame that the game had to have the technical called. Not saying Soddy would have won if it wasn't called, just think the kids should decide the game in that situation. Hats off to coach Shoemate and the Trojans for giving Brainerd all they wanted and then a lot more.
  19. After the SEC championship game a certain family stopped in Chattanooga to look at some houses in the Soddy area before going on to catch their flight in Knoxville. I hear they were looking at some open houses on the great Soddy Lake
  20. What is the status of the three injured players for the Owls? HOpefully, they are able to play
  21. Haven't been too far off in your comments Wildfanman???? how about that 42-14 victory you predicted earlier.....just a little off on that one..........like i said in my post any one from Oak Ridge who truly knows football would agree with my post and obviously you are a complete idiot and totally classless. I'm sure the Oak Ridge coaching staff would be proud of your comments. Nobody said Soddy-Daisy was robbed. I didn't say they were robbed, They lost the ball game on five plays, the 2 picks, 2 bad snaps, and the kickoff return. Look at the stats they don't lie, 120 yards more offense, but the stat that really does not lie is the score and like i said give Oak Ridge credit they made the plays they had to make and congratulations to them. Mnewballer, It's common sense if you don't have any time outs left and are trying to get the ball back to look and see when the ref spots the ball to see how much time could be left, when they snap the ball. And no wildfatman I am not saying that we would have come back had we got a delay of game b/c the chance of that happening is very unlikely......but I'm sure Wildfanman you will have some good things to say
  22. A few observations about the game: I think the Oak Ridge faithful got all they wanted and then a little more. Oak Ridge has a great football team and #1 is one heck of a runner. As one football coach said, " if if's and but's were candy and nuts we'd all have a merry Christmas". Well that was true for the Big Blue last night, if you take away the two interceptions inside Oak Ridge's 40 and the 2 botched punt attempts I think you are looking at a different outcome and the Oak Ridge fans that really know football will agree I believe. I'm not crying or trying to say Oak Ridge is lucky because like I said they played one heck of a game and have one heck of a team. A rematch in round three would be very interesting and exciting. One question for the ref's though, when did we go to a 27 second play clock. On the third down at the end of the game the ref wound the clock with 1:14 seconds left to play. When Oak Ridge called time our there were 47 seconds on the clock. Should have been a 25 second clock violation. Oh well, it's all in the past and the Big Blue has to look to the playoffs. Best of Luck to Oak Ridge...... P.S. What about the secondary of Kingsport, if there were to be a round 2 matchup do they have the corners to cover our two recievers?
  23. It's getting very deep in here from all of this talk, it must be the radiation leaking out in Oak Ridge or something. I wonder how big all of these peoples feet are and if they are big enough to fit in their mouths about 10:30 tomorrow night. GO BIG BLUE
  24. I am a Soddy-Daisy fan wanting to experience Big Ed's. How soon should i get there, etc. to make sure I am in time for the game. Or would it be better to get it to go. WHat pizza is the best......Go trojans
