Zeman sets up the other running backs for jasper just like Robert Robinson set up montrel Mitchell, David jones, and kartrez bibbs. But with Bryce and josh both back they will be fine offensively. That was my point.

I can see a bad sp team going to the semifinals if they want it bad enough...like I said most years this would be a cakewalk and starters out by end of 1st but this ain't most years

Wow have times changed in quad 2...any normal sp team has a cakewalk to the semifinals against these teams. They still may be fine.

I give all credit to jasper..played a good game tonight...came out with fire...sp did too until mistakes took it away but hey that's football...something I want to point out that made a lot of sense to me when I was talking to an "old timer" leaving the game...Jasper's coaching staff now..look at it...very similar to sp's staff when Vic took over...they are young, energetic, and passionate..kids wants to play for them...they trust their coaching...

Bad timed turnovers and awful punts hurt sp big time but jasper much better...

The atmosphere at Beene stadium is rockin right now in the cold windy rain!

What a night for football. On top of that it's on Halloween night! Cold air has rushed in over Beene stadium along with a mist that is falling from the sky. One thing about it over the years, this is what small town football is all about! Some people just don't get it. The passion and pride that those boys play with on this night is off the charts. Listen to the crowds roar tonight, look at the fireworks in the sky at kickoff, and watch the boys emotions. Whether you are a warrior or a pirate be thankful that you can watch small town football at it's finest tonight! Go pirates!

My prediction for tomorrow..south pittsburg will come out swinging and give it their all. Will it be enough? Who knows? On paper they have no chance at all. But as someone said that oblong shaped ball bounces funny at times...

Old pirate or ambassador here's you a question. During this rivalry has there ever been a time either team has been a heavy favorite and the other team won?

I think something very interesting to see will be how Jasper's defense does. Sp is by far not the favorite. We all know that. But, if you think about if they have moved the ball around on a lot of teams and gotten inside the 10-20 yard line and not been able to score. They will have to make the most of those chances come Friday night if they have any shot to keep it close because I just don't know if we have anything to stop them offensively unless they stop themselves.
