  1. Second verse of the same song. The one team in the east that can stop this team is in the mirror.
  2. 42-0 9:50 in 3rd 8 left ankles all over the field. Correction 9…for Bob
  3. Wellington to Wallace again. Farrior with the punch in. 13-0 0 SP 1:28 in 1
  4. Headtop alert. Wellington to Wallace for td SP 7-0 6:25 to go in 1
  5. One final note from me..this team is dangerous and injuries are a part of the game..but SP could have been even more dangerous with Jace Stone. Tore his ACL first play of the year on kickoff.
  6. Why would they mercy rule them?
  7. What’s your thoughts on the 2/11 duo outside with Wellington throwing them the ball? Can Gordy contain?
  8. Huh? Baylor and McCallie would not play for 2 more weeks lol
  9. I still think it will be difficult for anyone on the east to match up with our athletes. Too many weapons when you have 2 deep threats outside on opposite sides, a power running game, and a mobile qb. I can’t wait for 7:00 PM. I enjoy Gordy’s fans…I like high energy games.
  10. @TheBlueprint 2 kids I want you to watch tomorrow night 51 Cameron Grider and 50 Ranye Tipton. Both have wonderful stories of determination and perseverance. Both play with a huge heart. Cameron has improved so much over his career and Ranye gets overlooked at times by his 5’5 size. Both are solid players for the Pirates!
  11. Mr. White and company are in good hands. At least that’s what Allstate said.
  12. Going to be a dandy. Does UC have any Josh Nick’s players lurking around? That cat may be the best fullback in single A history.
  13. Good luck to both squads. Blessings for a safe, hard fought game. Hope to see one of you next week.
  14. On a consistent basis you typically hear from 4 teams in the east. South Pittsburg, Gordonsville, Greenback, and Coalfield. 3/4 are now in the 3rd round looking to make some noise as usual. For this game, let’s look at some keys for the Pirates. 1) How do the Pirates replace the frame of Collins. There are not too many 6’4 260 lb bodies floating around on the team. 2) Can the Pirates play disciplined football and remain hot offensively? 3) Will the O line be able to hold up and get a push against Gordonsville’s front 7? For the Tigers 1) Do they lean on the experience of Coach Jackson defensively? Being a defensive coordinator for Oakland for years you know he has a game plan in store to limit the Pirates. 2) Can Gordonsville steal a possession or two? Turnovers are huge in every game, but playing on the road against a talented turnovers are huge. I would also watch for some special teams trickery. 3) Speaking of trickery, watch for any trick plays. The Pirates defense flys to the ball and is very aggressive. It was a trick play in the mid to late 2010’s that got Greenback on the board and all the momentum needed to beat the Pirates in the playoffs a few years back. I would expect a “kitchen sink” mindset. With that said, I still say teams have issues matching up with the Pirates. Try taking away the pass and you are susceptible to the run. Try matching an unbalanced line and Kamden has the wheel to take it to the house. Try stacking the box and the passing game will be on full display. I expect a tighter game but a Pirates win. 15. He’s a 3 star..good on the line…could use him on TE seam routes
  16. I personally don’t think this team could beat any of the 2007-2010 teams. That’s all because of line play though. They have athletes for sure.
