Finally got to meet Shannon Williams at a coaches clinic and luncheon. Don't care anything about the Owls or Ooltewah football but if they don't hire this man, something is wrong! He is a very talented coach with unbelievable vision and drive. I was impressed! He has been around some great programs and worked on some big time coaching staff's with some big time coaches! Go ahead let him get away. We would sure take him!

Who are all the people applying for the job? Yall can have EK and his coaches(I use that term loosely). We do not like 3 win seasons at Cleveland!

After watching the Owls QB Friday in person, I understand why they dont throw the ball!!! Not trying to disrespect any player, BUT, he appears to freak out in the pocket when there is no pressure! I saw him before the game laughing and wearing his baseball cap backwards warming up. Maybe he is confused and thinks he should play like Crompton cause the ooltewah band keeps playing ROCKY TOP!!! I guess to beat mcminn co you better hope the defense and special teams show up! I was not impressed with the passing game at all against cleveland. I think all the ooltewah offensive yards were all rushing yards. I guess when you cant throw it, you run it! Congratulations to the over rated owls!!! Good luck with Maryville, Riverdale, Oakland, and Farragut! Have fun with that run of teams!

Let me set the record straight so some of you idiots will shut up. Owls will beat McMinn by as many as they want. Chatt. Central is a joke, and will be for a long time. Who gives a crap about Carson newman playing on css. Carson newman is a small step above high school jv football. Soddy Daisy is fat and out of shape. They are washed up like some of their staff is, period. Cleveland, Ooltewah, Tyner, and McCallie are the only teams in the Chatt area that are worth talking about. And everyone knows McCallie cheats.

SC fan, Gaston is a stud. Spurrier knows talent. He is very good. Should lead OWLS deep in the State playoffs this year. GO COCKS. Can't wait to see 2001 tonight at Williams Brice.

Texas23 that is fine what you are saying. But some people get on here and express their opinions. This is what this board is all about. But for some people every time that they get on here they are "targeted" by others. But people are expressing the way that they feel about this topic. But other people "try" to be arrogant in their comments. People keep an open-mind. Don't be shallow and ignorant. I know of a couple of people that are often times being targeted for their comments. But to say that when you have boys that they will not take ballet is fine. But to me and others we really don't care...

Bryant Blackmon from Bradley. He'll be really tough. Also, if Mike Marable makes the weight he'll also be strong as well. Both of these guys are probably the toughest ones at 171 this year...

You hit the nail on the head with that comment. Cleveland's team in '93 was the best I've seen. They had 8 players sign D-1 that year. I'm kind of young so I really couldn't make a true prediction to the other teams before 1990. I was only in the 8th grade in '90.

Oh' my Oh' my gillyboat and purplepounderfootball I know you guys want to support your team, but COME ON!!!! If you really think that Maryville will lose you have lost your mind. This game won't be close if Chatt. Central does everything right, and Maryville does everything wrong it will still be a blowout. Chatt. Central can't stay on the field with Maryville. This game will be over by halftime. Maybe they will have the same officials as the Austin East game so they can run the clock continuously in the second half.

Our thoughts and prayers go out to Coach Helton and his family. We hope everything goes well and you have a speedy recovery. Also everybody better look out for Central; not only do they have a good team, but now they have a motivational factor to play for.

If you take Ralph Potter, Wayne Turner, Curt Jones, and whoever else you want to mention; put these coaches @ McMinn Central or Red Boiling Springs. What you would have is just any 'ol coach with a losing season. Potter walked into a dynasty that was built by his father. Central and Coach Jones have benefited from having black athletes that they never had before thanks to the magnet school system. Same thing applies @ Tyner with Wayne Turner. These coaches are blessed with great athletes, great staff, and administration that stand behind them. We as football fans should respect and appreciate all chatt. area coaches they are molding young lives on and off the field. And as for those of you who have never been in there shoes I'd watch what I say. I know you would not want someone coming to your workplace and telling you how poor of a job you're doing.
