  1. At the end of the third quarter Rhea leads 41-39.
  2. Bradley's boys and girls are both going to the sub-state, along with McMinn Central.
  3. Well if the Chargers play anything like they did in the first half against Hixson then Central by 10.
  4. The Baylor vs. Knox Catholic game for the championship.
  5. I am sure Coach Kent Smith reminded them of the loss a couple of weeks ago to Cleveland. And that was probably all he would have to say to get them fired up. I wouldn't be to surprised to see them meet in the region again though.
  6. It sounds to me that McMinn has finally found a way to win the close games. First against Cumberland and now against Rhea. I guess that is what you want, to peak at tournament time.
  7. Yes I remember Mike Wilson from Meigs. Probably one of the best all-around atheletes in Southeast Tn. He was a whole lot better all-around athlete than Jajuan Smith will ever be. A kid with a ton of God given talent. But in present day time I would have to go with Kellen Pickel.
  8. Yeah he is playing at Tn. Weslyan and is getting a lot of playing time and even starting sometimes.
  9. I was kind of wondering why gomab was rating Jeff Smith #1 in the area too. I mean don't get me wrong he is an excellent player but I just do not think he has the same capabilities as someone like Jonathan Adams or a Rodney Henderson. But gomab always has good ratings and rankings so I am not going to argue with him. I am sure he has a good reason for it.
  10. I think this district is pretty even with Cleveland maybe having a slight edge. Bradley, McMinn, Rhea, and Cumberland could also have the top honor as well. I say it will be a close game between each team ever time they step out onto the field.
  11. Baylor did 64-44. Jonathan Adams had 21 points and Plavich had 18 on 6 three-pointers.
  12. I think the loss of KP is huge. But I also think the loss against Cleveland is a wake up call for Bradley. Yarrish will step in and do a well in the absence of Kellen but nothing against Yarrish because he is a great player with tons of talent but no one can replace a Kellen Pickel. Kellen's heart, hustle, leadership, and the desire to win is what makes him the great player that he is. Bears still win by 10.
  13. That was a really good post BackyardLegend. And that is so true. Most kids would blame God for what happen but I don't that is the case with Kellen. He is such an excellent kid and God is going to bless him through this. Good luck Kellen and get well soon.
  14. I know he is back because I was at both games. Glad to see you back on the court Trey. And to the Red Raiders I must say that was some of the best defense I have seen out of you guys this year against McMinn. Yeah Jajuan scored 23 but you made him work for each point. Keep up the good work guys.
  15. I really hate to see that. I too hope to see KP finish his spectacular career on the court and baseball field like he should. Tnwareagle I will continue to remember Kellen in my prayers. Get well soon!
  16. I agree 100%, McMinn is right at Cleveland, Cumberland, and Rhea County's level. They just haven't found a way to win the close games. McMinn could have very easily been 6-2 or 5-3 with the two losses being to Bradley and the other one maybe being at Cumberland. I wasn't at the game but they got beat by close to 20 so I don't think they could have won that one. Maybe it will start clicking for them at tournament time and start hitting the crucial shots they need.
  17. It turned out the way I thought it would. Cook got his 29 and Henderson got, I think, 24. Good win for Howard over a very quality CCS team, which is one of the best teams in the area.
  18. Trey also had a good game against McMinn last night. He hasn't got his deadly outside shot back yet but played a good inside game.
  19. Yeah if Trey would have played this year he would have been right in my top five. Best of luck on your recovery. Looking forward to seeing you on the court again Trey.
  20. My vote goes to Kellen Pickel from Bradley Central. He has the combination of accuracy and range.
  21. 1)Jonathan Adams-Baylor 2)Jon Cook-Chatt. Christian 3)Rodney Henderson-Howard
  22. I would have to go with Chatt. Christian right now too.
  23. Kellen Pickel and Justin Hare have to be at the head of the list in East TN. JaJuan Smith would be in the mix if he could get his grades up.
  24. Yeah KP plays all three. Quite an athlete. As far as where they are going to college at is up to them. When they know I am sure you will know too. Right now all I think they are concentrating on is the gold ball.
  25. Yeah your right I have no idea what I am talking about. If you are so tight with the Duke, UNC scouts then what is one of their names? They must be contacting you all the time so what is their cell phone number?
