WOW...people must have thought it wouldn't be very close then

I was out of town and didn't go to the DB/McMinn Co game so I was scanning the am dial to hear anything on the score cause I had football fever. I ran across the Jeff County broadcast and all I have to say is no class. I wouldn't want them calling any DB games. Those 2 guys trashed JC for the entire time I listened, which was most of the first half. They sounded like 2 yahoos that grabbed the mic and started wailing. Not that I'm a patriot fan in any way (I actually ate at the Micky Ds at exit 417 with my DB sweatshirton...got several ominous looks!), but these guys are supposed to be as partial as they can and they have to remember it's only high school football played by kids that are 16, 17. It seemed like every other word was "pathetic" or "sorry" or "that's the worst defense I've ever seen". Just wanted to stand up for those kids because I know they didn't go out to lose to Oak Ridge....but you would have thought by listening to there boradcast that they were laying down. I would have to turn there own words on them....the announcers were pathetic. If any JC people are still posting/reading....are they always that negative?

Went to the game and had a great time. Not sure how Soddy Daisy ran up over 300 yards of offense against Oak Ridge. They didn't really show anything. They only had like 20 yards passing until that last play with 20 seconds to go. I was hoping DB would pitch the shut out but they kind of shut it down at the end. I have a few questions if any of the Soddy Daisy people are reading. 1) Why did the coach not kick the field goal late in the first half down at the DB 20 or so with the score 7-0 DB?. He chose to go for 4th and 2 and they got stuffed. Not that the 3 points would have won the game but maybe it would have given them some confidence. 2) Late in the game SD was running the ball great on a drive, eating up big chunks of yards and then for some reason starting passing the ball and they ended up killing the drive. They had a first down on about the DB 40 and had been running well. 3) Down 28-0 they punted on like 4 and short near the 50. Not that any of these could have made a difference but I was scratching my head. I mean SD best offense was a return of a blocked DB field goal to the DB 4 yard line as time expired in the first half. ROLL TRIBE

DB had a bad game against JC? I don't know which game your were watching but DB won going away. If that is what you think then it doesn't say much for the Patriots because DB ran away with that game. And I can't figure out how Karns beating DB looks good for Jeff Co because they lost head to head at JC. I'm not bad mouthing JC because they have a great team and if the teams meet again it may be a different story....but Karns beat DB not JC

well...i didn't get to travel and had to listen as much as i could while running around town. DB had around 350 total offense to JC 282 Duran had a good game, 250+ yards throwing Lamond had a monster game with 150+ receiving Chase Flannery had a great game....92 on the ground and a big TD before the half and a BIG stop on D. JC had the ball 1st and goal on DB 3 and settled for a field goal Chase had a big stop down on the goal line. Like I said the 2 JC backs had over 100 rushing each but they only passed for 82 as a team. DB was down 10-7 and at one point late in the game the Indians led 27-10. JC made it 27-16 and DB scored again to go up 33-16. JC scored late after the game was as good as over to make it 34-23. According to the announcer the JC fans gave up and went home with about 4 minutes to go and down by 11. I wasn't there but what I got to listen to sounded like DB handled them pretty good. 18 point lead with about 10 secs to go on the #6 team in the state. Sounds pretty solid to me. ROLL TRIBE!!!!!!

for BTNrC Lamond Williams had 150+ yards receiving including a 68 yard TD. JC had over 200 yards rushing with both the Scooter kid and the Jennings kid going over 100.

DB won 34-23....it was an 18 point game til JC scored with about 10 secs to go

by the way...what was the whole deal with Scooter Houston and Aaron Carson? Not that I know anything about the situation with what happened...but I thought an ejection was an automatic suspension for the next game? I guess that would be the case if it wasn't DB/Jeff Co. one other thing....do you guys have a newspaper? i have looked to see if there are any build up for the game from Dandridge...but I seem to come up empty on the news from Dumplin Valley
