  1. I said from the start that Dustin Gaines was ready to get a few more "Oskies". Good game fellas, thats the way to stick it to 'em. Now lets get ready for round 2
  2. All I know is that DG, or Dustin Gaines as he is more likely to be known as, is extremely pumped up along with Walker, Moten, Hardy and anyone else who may play Defensive back this week. I watched practice today and in group plus defense they had about a million picks. Watch out trojans, our DB's are ready to get a few "OSKIES".
  3. Williams wasn't completely 100% friday night, he didn't practice the whole time except one day, but he will this week, and he's hungry. As for physical I don't know how you get much more physcial on offense than Duran the "Mack truck", Stephen Moton, Chase "juggernaught" Flanary, and Lamon "the manchild" Williams (who kills people in practice, even when they tell us not too, and he also has the meanest helmet-slap you'll ever see). And on defense Tyler "T-naughty" Nottingham, Cedric "Big ceddy" hodge. Stephen Moten, and the entire rest of the team. Oooooooooooooooo the boys are pumped
  4. Well let's carry on the tradition of weekly DB threads, does anyone have any info on Soddy-Daisy. I don't know too much information on them. How do they compare to teams we've played. Any information you can give me would be greatly appreciated. Also feel free to voice oppinions, thoughts, predictions, and what-not. Let's just keep this one about this game and not the rest of the big east. Thanks a lot and ROLL TRIBE ROLL
  5. Actually the band performed tonight (Saturday) at 9 p.m., but had a practice at 9 A.M. in the morning. Still no excuse for not attending the ball game.
  6. They need to get it together even though they defense played awesome, and the offense put up 35 points on a team that has played most of its games close? I'll admit there are things that the coaches need to work on, but it was a good win. And about the fight, you don't even know what happened so don't bring that up. I'm proud of the boys and am already pumped for the hill. Another good point of the night, Duran made an early mistake and it cost them, and then we went down 13-0, but unlike the Duran in the past he kept his head up. We don't care what it takes to get a w as long as we do.
  7. Talked to a few of the boys, and they're pretty pumped. I don't think anybody is gonna get overlooked the rest of the season. Gaines is playing, Williams won't but will probably be ready to strap 'em up against the Hill, and I think Throp is the same way. Heard they had a great day of practice and are focusing on the fundamentals, the things that got us where we were. Maturing, like all good football teams do. I don't know, I guess we'll see Friday night

    Karns Beats DB

Let me just congratulate karns. Yall played a heck of a game, with a lot of heart. I have to say that I was impressed with everything I saw there. The Karns people I met were very nice even after the game Yalls student section was great, I wish the kids at our school would take a lesson from them, and your band impressed me a lot. But most of all your football team played excellent. We made a lot of mistakes and yall made us pay. I do not think anybody gave you all the respect that yall obviously deserved the game, even the crowd (that was the quitest DB crowd I have ever been apart of), I guess I'm just as guilty as everyone else. I hope we can bounce back from this, learn from our mistakes, and make a run in the playoffs. It was a disapointing, but you have to remember that no one expected us to win 7 games this year, so I'm proud of that. Coach Clark will have them ready to play the rest of the season and in the playoffs. He's a brilliant coach and if anyone can get a team to respond to a loss like this, its him. I am still and will always be a giant Indian fan, no matter what should happen. But I think this is gonna be a very angry Indians team. And I feel bad for the teams they play from now on. I'm just glad this happened now and not in the playoffs, like 2 years ago. I don't think we will see this team be over confident in the future, they learned not to be.
  9. Contender is right-on with this one
  10. Both are not serious, and both will be able to play when we need them
  11. I was just wondering who the hill have played. Cause as far as I know, they haven't played any quality teams.
  12. Duran Ferguson from Dobyns-Bennett. Had 243 yards and completely picked Jeff County's Defense apart.
  13. DB is still The Beast of the Big East
  14. Actually just to let yall know, the Trail of tears is I-81 south, but yall should already know that since you added to those grooves twice last year.
  15. Thats a good diagnosis Bud. I better watch out or your gonna take over to role of doctor on this board.
  16. and by joined I mean gone Waco, boys
  17. Trust me on this one, the misdirection isnt gonna be a factor, and second of all a while back yall said Williams was not that fast, but I seem to remember him burning Houston a couple of times last year. Maybe its just me and I've joined Waco and Cosmo, but chances are I'm remembering correctly.
  18. If yall put 3 on Williams like you said, than get ready for a long night. Hayes, Tritapoe, McMillan, and Gaines will catch passes all night and rack up the yards, Ferguson will pick you apart, Flanary and Ferguson will run you over, and the Throp will shake you outta your shoes. Its best not to even joke about putting 3 on Williams. And our Defense, our D will be ready. But it'll be a close game though, And definetly be one to remember.
  19. The difference in last week and this week is, in the first half oak ridge made our linebackers look silly by breaking their tackles. This week our linebackers are almost 100% healthy and I'm willing to bet when its time to strap the pads on theyll be 150% healthy. Trust me we'll be ready, and this is gonna be a good ole fashion barn burner.
  20. It looks like these guys have a monopoly on this thread
  21. Also, what about dobyns-bennett how did they not move up when 1 and 2 lost and we beat #5?
  22. the kid from Dobyns-Bennett, Hayes. He had a great interception on oak ridges 13 that might have won the game, also before that the kid caught a short pass broke a tackle and ran faster than any white boy i've seen in a long time, was the player of the game for sure, in one of the greatest high school football games i've ever witnessed.
  23. Nothing pumpes me up more than when the vandy dean, who is nothing short of a giant nerd gets on the tv's in the stadium and tells everyone to get ready for some football. Yeah man, theres nothing like vandy football
  24. Don't forget 5th in the nation, Also I think JPATS' hatred stems from extreme Jealousy and lack of victories over the Indians. My prescription is "TO KNOW YOUR ROLE, AND SHUT YOUR MOUTH". Not only that but making empty threats over the internet either means... A.) Your extremely unbalanced or B.) (Most likely) you think you can seem big and bad cause you know there is no way that anyone can take you up on the offer. But getting back to the question at hand, I say DB 35-14, you can't stop our many weapons on offense, and our d is insane The doctor is out
