I don't see where anyone has made negative remarks about kids on here. Besides even TSSAA officials have a right to an opinion. Unless I misunderstood it Sportseyeview just commented that Wampler couldn't shoot very well from outside. If this is the worst thing that is said on hear about her, then she is doing good. He did not question her character or beliefs. Also, I don't think everyone is sitting around worrying about O.S. taking over the county. Kingston did play them some very close games and I belive beat them once last year. They are very good, but be careful about making reservations in Murphreesboro just yet.

Rockwood won a hard fought contest tonight. The score was 7-0 with 5 minutes to go in the fourth quarter. I think Midway surprised Rockwood by hanging in there. The tigers committed too many mental mistakes. Dropped passes, and stupid penalties just about cost us the game. We could have been beat if Midway had been able to create any offense. If Rockwood hopes to be a region contender they are going to have to focus and quit making mistakes. A win is a win, but they did not look like the experienced ball team they should.

Swamp, you just like the Midway coaching staff because they've got 2 Kingston boys coaching! I'm just joking. They have done a fine job the past three years. They seem to get alot out of their players. My prediction Rockwood 14-7. Can't stop the speed.

I feel that it is the coaches responsibility because he/she is the one to be blamed when something does go wrong. You should feel lucky to have a coach that takes the time to care about what you are doing. Many players don't understand that until they get older.

Bballtn the question was about Rockwood/Midway you are the one who brought Harriman into the picture. You had better go recheck your facts because the fact is Harriman did not win a game last year even against Midway.

It does seem like its always a close game, no matter which team is better. Should be a good one, but I agree Rockwood will own the 4th quarter. Bballtn you seem kinda bitter about Midway. If I recall correctly Midway led almost the entire game. Harriman is the team who will be lucky to get another win in Roane Co. Midway is the only team they can hope to beat.

Did Union County play in the Roane Co. jamboree?

Rockwood did look pretty good, but there is still a question mark surrounding how Gallaher will perform at quarterback. Midway also looked decent, but it will be tough for them to compete in this game after losing as many seniors as they did last year. I think they will be contenders in their region once they get some game experience under their belts. The difference in this game will be speed and the tigers have alot of it. Midway may have a chance if they can contain Thompson and company on the ends because once they get loose there's no one on Midway's team that can catch them. Should be a good game, seems like this one is always close. Good luck Tigers!

The only one I know of is Kara Monk who transferred last year, but had to sit out. She should contribute some this year.

I think Kingston will win, but I believe harriman will give them a closer game than people expect. Kingston 14-7.

Harriman came out on top at the jamboree, but I don't remember the score. All of the Roane County teams won. Harriman middle defeated Cherokee also.

I hate to break it to you but the O.S. girls aren't the only ones who do not want to be in the Christmas tourney! I have yet to talk to a coach who actually wants to be in it. The other teams all play each other as well. I was under the impression that all teams in the county had been told they had to be in the Christmas tourn, not that it was optional. I simply stated this fact because we were talking about county teams not participating in a fundraiser, so it is not apples and oranges.

Rockwood and Midway both play Union County. I'm not sure about Harriman. Anyone know?

I'm not trying to say anyone is better than them.I agree that the Christmas tourney is a waste of time becasue all of the teams play each other during the year anyway,but it was agreed upon that every county team had to particiapte so how did O.S. girls get out of it? The jamboree could raise alot of money if done right. My only complaint is that if they are going to have it, everyone should participate. It is a ROANE COUNTY jamboree, shouldn't ROANE COUNTY high school be in it????????

I agree, but the same thing happened in the Roane Co. Christmas tourn. All teams had to agree to participate, but the O.S. girls went to Fla. if we are going to have these events all teams should participate.I guess Vic King is afraid he will show off one of those same ten plays he has been running since the dawn of time.

Does anyone know of any middle school preseason tournaments going on in either late October or early November?
