The Rockwood girls are certainly more fun to watch this year. The freshman class has definitely given them some newfound energy. They have a chance to make some noise in the district next year. With all of the youth they have, they will only continue to get better. These girls should be something else by next season. I think it does help to have a successful middle school program to feed into the high school. These girls know what it takes to win.

I think Kingston girls have a good shot at beating O.S at least once this year. For one thing they beat them last year, so they are not scared of them like some teams are. I think O.S. will win thedistrict, but don't count out Kingston, L.C., and Loudon . Loudon girls are looking pretty good also. O.S. will have to stop Saddiq.

Rockwood has a great group of freshman. Lacey Smith, Megan Turner, and Miranda Mitchell will really help the tigers this year. All three will probably eventually start. Another great freshman that would have eventually been the starting point guard is Teddy Chatman. She is currently having surgery for a torn ACL. She is a great player. I agree that Jennifer Smith is also very good and will contribute for the cats this year.

Im going to have to agree....If Thomas can get into the paint, He may fustrate a lot of teams. You should never have to say IF you can get in the paint to someone who is Davis's size. No one should be able to keep him out of the paint. He should own the paint.

Rockwood will not be below Midway. Midway lost Casey Woody and Rockwood gained a very talented group of freshman who will have to contribute this year. They will struggle once again but look for a much better team and by next year with a little expreience under thier belt the other county teams need to look out.

No , I'm not positive of the record, but they had a couple of bad years when these guys were in the eighth grade. Anybody from Kingston remember the exact record?

Kingston will probably beat Loudon and maybe L.C., but they won't make the playoffs. i am by no means a Kingston fans, but it kills me the way you jacket fans are getting down on the team. Everybody has down years. The cycle always comes back around. Remember back to when these seniors were at Cherokee . They were lucky to win a game. They had a couple of 1 -2 win seasons. No matter how dominating you may be now, the cycle will get you. It has only been 8 years since Harriman won the state and look at them. Just don't get down on your team and coaches, they are still practicing just as hard if not harder than they did last year , and the year before. They need your support now at games more than ever. It doesn't matter, Rockwood and Harriman will play for the TMSAA state championship.

Definitely poor timing considering all that is happening at Clinton, but I don't think that was the intentions of the show. HS Conf. is a great show. Much better than the Wed night show last year. I like how you are getting the coaches, players, cheerleaders, and fans involved. Its also nice to hear about middle school football. I hope the show continues to be this good during bball and baseball season. One thing though Tank, tell Stiltner to make his prediction and shut up, we could do without the indepth insight into his picks.

Kingston did play in the 3A championship against Memphis Melrose in 98 I think. Riplie i wouldn't chalk your loss up to bad luck. I would say you weren't prepared. The jackets walked in and expected to win because of the name on their jerseys. Gurney chocked in his first big game. He's a great athlete, but he wasn't ready. i don't think those boys knew what it meant to play in the Rockwood Kingston game. How many of those boys are true Kingston boys-meaning they grew up there. McMillan, Wade, Day, who else? Kingston fans don't count on blowing Scott Co. out becasue they have an excellent quarterback who is fast as lightening. I wish you all the luck in the world this season because I always support Roane Co teams, but you can't keep saying you are really the better team. Maybe you are, maybe you aren't , but the scoreboard is what counts. Go Tigers and congratulation John Webb, maybe all the good ole boys will get off your back now.

The party had better be over in Tiger Town because this is the first real test for Wartburg and they will be fired up. We must forget about Kingston. Rockwood did get a great win, but don't brag about stopping Kingston too much because they fumbled twice on th one yard line and then were penalized which brought them back. King decided to throw instead of feeding it into to johnson which also helped us out. It was a great win, but without those 2 fumbles it would have been an entirely different game. Besides I think Kingston is down this year. I am predicting 5 and 5 for them with losses coming from us, A.E., A.C., Fulton and either O.S. or L.C. So Tigers you had better be ready. It will be a fight, just remember this could be the region title game.

Good job Tigers!! If I'm in King's spot I wouldn't be throwing on the 4 yard line. I would give it to Johnson. Hes a tough runner and never seems to get the ball. Same with Wade, he would see the ball more. This win didn't have anything to do with the refs. As I said before, it came down to who had the least turnovers. Rockwood played almost error free ball and Kingston kept coughing it up. The biggest play of the game was at the beginning when day fumbled the snap. This gave Rwood good field position, they took advantage and scored when they got the ball. This gave them confidence. Kingston was flat. Collier's defense pretty much stunk. They didn't even block Bowman????The tigers were up and Allens defense was prepared and ready to play. Go Tigers!!!

They will probably do like they did at Rockwood . Midway will be the home team on the scoreboard and wear their home jerseys. They also had their own people taking up money and kept the gate. Is O.S. allowing them to do that? ? think that is fine, but having them be the home team on the scoreboard is just stupid and confusing to people. Biggamer I have swore I would not address anything to you becuase you are an idiot, but Midway has beaten Harriman the past 2 years, what makes you think you would beat them now, and what makes them dirty? I have never seen Midway play dirty.

It will be an upset if we beat Kingston Short10. They are 3A we are 2A, besides we haven't beaten them since 97 and we only won twice in the 90's. This should be a great game that will come down to which team can make the least mistakes and turnovers.

Austin James from Greenback does a good job. I think Corey Payne will be a good quarterback in the future as well as Rock Gurney from Kingston. Wouldn't rank them among the best, just throwing out some local talent, except maybe James, he should have a good year.

I hope you can get Coach Webb and Coach King. That should be a great show. I'm glad you are focusing on high school athletics because as much as I love UT football I hate when Ron and Mike start on college fb. I watch your shows for high school sports. There are plenty of other sources for college info. I hope you can include the middle schools as well. Those guys work just as hard.
