  1. Well simonzander your boy derek has cooled off considerable since his amazing run at the end of the summer, and adam wasnt at the state junior because he dedicated his time to the tournaments where the best in the nation play, not just the state. and PS Adam is the best in the state, he would kill "Big Bobby Baird" and Wes Roach and you too stockwell4.
  2. Hixson won district 6 today at Bear Trace with a 303. Hixson's top 3 golfers finished 1-2-3 with 2 of them in a playoff for first. CCS finished second with a 316 i think. How were the scores in the other districts?
  3. they arent the best by a long shot, i am not even sure they are the best public school in the area. they are tied with hixson as the best in the area. hixson has fewer losses, and hixson beat mccallie, which soddy didnt even do. also if it wasnt for soddy's 5 man miracle they would have been beaten by hixson cuz hixson's top 3 beat soddy's so called "unstoppable" top three by 2 shots.
  4. I didnt get to play and i was just wondering how everything went. Who won, what teams were there, etc.?
  5. One more thing, Hixson's 3 and 4 man are good enough to play number 1, and the 3 and 4 scores will be just as strong as the top 2. I also think Hixson's top 2 are stronger than Walker Valley's top 2 returners from last year.
  6. I think Hixson has the advantage over Walker Valley. Walker Valley lost their best golfer, Pat Dye, last year and I don't think they have anyone who can fill his shoes. Hixson on the other hand have their top four returning, and all four have improved greatly since last season, 2 have handicapps below scratch and one is around a 2. On top of the four returning seniors they are picking up two freshman, and one of them has a chance of bumping out the returning number 3 man and the other will definitely help at the 4-6 spots.
  7. At least Hixson is playing them the first game so their lack in pitching wont kill them, so if Hixson can get their bats hot like Monday against Grundy it could be a good game.
  8. I dont care who you are cuz 10 home runs in two games is great for anybody, even if the other team does stink and it is like batting practice. Its harder to hit a ball out when the pitcher is throwing slow compared to a pitcher throwing it fast. Even the JV got in on the action with a couple jacks. WAY TO GO BOYS!!
  9. Josh Green's a BEAST!!!
  10. I heard some kid ran into the fence and somehow got his knee stuck in the fence or something. That sounds pretty funny but did that really happen?
  11. Yall forgot the leader in home runs: Josh Green 4
  12. Yea McMinn played a good game, #24 is a monster, but the refs did an absolutely horrible job. Every time I blinked they were screwing up a call. They blew soooo many calls it was ridiculous. It wasnt just Hixson they shafted, they hurt McMinn several times too. Here are three quick blown calls: 1. One of the players from McMinn took about 4 steps, ball in hand, and wasnt called for a walk, TERRIBLE! 2. Will Hagaman was bringing the ball down the court, driving to the goal, bumped a McMinn player who then took a few steps backwards and Will was called for a charge, HORRIBLE! 3. The monster #24 for McMinn was riding Alan Green like a freaking horse all night and very rarely was it ever called. The was one instance when he was literally riding Alan's shoulders and nothing was called. If that isnt a foul what is?! But anyways, good game McMinn and good season Hixson.
  13. Yea I am with curtisj, lets put this one to bed. It is all in the past, you can't change anything by whining, and just get over the fact that you lost. Life goes on.
  14. I would definitely have to say Hixson has one of the nicest fields I have every seen for a high school team. The locker rooms only making it more impressive. Soddy's is also pretty nice as well.
  15. Man there is alot of Bs on this thread. The reported "pushing" during warm ups of the Grundy game wasnt really pushing, maybe light bump. If you look at it close enough Grundy was across the line and were making no attempts to get out of the way, they tried their best to get in Hixson's way. I dont remember anything happening during the Bledsoe game a few weeks ago other than when #12 was sucker punched, which he retaliated by completely embarassing #14 i believe when he crossed him over and he fell flat on his face. And nobody from Hixson got in the face of any elderly man without the elderly man getting in ours first. The whole idea of home court advantage is to get in the other teams head and throw them off and by God thats what we have done and yall are to upset to face it that yall cant handle a rowdy cheering section. Lets not even start with the education levels at Hixson compared to the whole of Grundy county. It wasnt students going off on students, it was adults acting like little kids going at it with students. Shouldnt the adults be the more mature section of the group. And everybody knows how to spell redneck - GRUNDY COUNTY!!!
  16. This thread has many reports from people who WERE ACTUALLY AT THE GAME and their stories are totally different(and more true) than Tavian's who WASN'T EVEN THERE. You might want to consider a different, more reliable source next time before you get on here and make a fool out of yourself. And many of the Hixson fans thought they heard racial comments coming from the Grundy cheering section aimed either at the officials or the Hixson players. This is nothing new from Grundy either, they always throw a fit when they lose in any sport. I even know of an incident in football where some of Grundy's fans followed the referees back to where they met to go to the game and threatened them once they got there.
  17. Yea they are pretty different, one story is always right and one is always wrong. But who would you believe, an eyewitness or a person that heard about it from another person who heard about it from somebody else? I am no expert but it would seem more reasonable to listen to the person who was there. My previous post was by no means an excuse for what Hixson fans were involved in but Grundy was just as involved and just as responsible. This was not one attack from one school on some innocent bystander.
  18. Next year all of those player mentioned I know will be juniors, except I am not sure about Ricketts. I am not sure they will make state nexxt year because it takes time for a new coach to adjust to the players and the players to the coach, but when they are seniors they will have a strong team.
  19. DelTavian, it didnt go down quite like what you have heard. First, trash wasn't thrown out on the court, it was a small plastic basketball after Toby Woodley tackled Josh Green. Second, Grundy wasn't making a rally, Hixson was in complete control with a lead of 11 with Josh Green, I believe, on the free throw line with 51.2 seconds left on the clock, not 2 minutes. Okay moving on to the post game festivities. The Grundy fans(who were only the parents), who were the cause of most of the commotion, and the players were not surrounded or hindered to leave by anybody. Some fans from Hixson were just standing outside the front door. Things erupted when an older man got in one of the faces of a former black student from Hixson. You mentioned a school resource officer not being there, which I didn't see at the time(maybe because he was taking the person who "had a knife" off to jail), but I did see around 10 police officers trying to push the Grundy crowd away from the school but were faced with strong resistance. I think I might have even seen one police officer pull a can of pepper spray on the Grundy fans, but I might be wrong. Also, the referees didn't say a word to the coaches because they left as soon as they called the game when a powerade bottle came onto the floor. I did't see where it came from or how it got there. And I don't think one of your coaches was really hit, maybe bumped because I never saw anybody fall to the ground.
  20. What happened at cleveland is more severe than what happened at central but what central did was still not right and just because something worse happened at cleveland doesnt make it right by any means. This is definitely not the first time i have heard about rhea county not showing class either.
  21. I am not sure why you are braggin about a win over Brainerd, thats a garunteed victory. But you are right, all of your games last year for homecoming were definite upsets, nobody expected to lose to yall.
  22. Hey Central, since yall finally have a decent football team, how does it feel now that yall arent everybody's homecoming game?
  23. At most schools in Chattanooga like Hixson, Soddy Daisy, Red Bank, etc. it is normally 2 dollars. But at Ooltewah it is a donation. I agree to that ticket prices are too exspensive. They have gone up this year too from 4 to 6 dollars. It doesn't even cost 6 bucks to see the UTC Mocs play a college football game! For high school football game 8 to 10 dollars plus food(and normally double that cuz you probably have a date) gets exspensive for a high school student.
  24. Maryville without a doubt. It is crazy to think too that if they win it this year this year's senior class with have four state rings. Thats impressive.
  25. I saw MBA play Baylor(and Baylor is a pretty good team), and they are by far the absolute best high school team i have ever seen. They also beat McCallie to a pulp and they have a really talented team this year. They would win big over Maryville. They arent 14th in the nation for nothing people so come on and think about it, if there was a team that is that much better than them they would have a national ranking, but they dont!
