Hey I just want to share something with everyone on the site. I was walking to my car after the SC/MC game and i saw what i am sure was a MC player's parent. He was walking to catch up to a SC player and for just a second i was worried that he was still emotional about the game and was going to say or do something that would shame us all. However, he caught up to the SC player and softly said his name. (I didn't hear word for word but it was something to the effect of this;) "Wilmore. Aren't you Wilmore." The player was the running back for SC and told the MC fan so. "Sir you played a heck of a game. Good Luck to you." He then stuck his hand out to shake his hand but both ended embracing. I could tell that the game had taken a lot out of Wilmore and the MC fan had nothing but respect. This is what High School football is all about. Give it yours best and respect your opponents. Both talked a while and then went on their way. Just wanted to share this with everyone. Hope whomever win Friday will give the same respect. And I think both teams will. This site has a lot of trash talking but I am sure most is just for fun. We all respect our opponents. You know when you get this far you had better respect them. See ya Friday in Knoxville. I hope both teams play their best! And no one gets hurt. May God watch over them all and all the fans that are driving.

Has everyone gone to bed?

Oh yea, what about Coach Dyer's son Matt. I heard he also had a wreck last week. I know he played Friday night but he is okay correct? And Coach Dyer. Has he recovered? What about Dallas? is he recovered? Any truth to the rumor that Matt might be coming to Lafayette and setting out a year to play for Dad? I really don't think Coach Dyer would want that. He would miss his Junior year. But has anyone heard any of this or is this just Bull.

Hey does anyone know the weather for Friday night in Lafayette? Or how is Hudson, Dallas, Thaxton, and Shaw. 100%? What about Wilmore and some of the other SC players. I heard they had a few injuries from the Portland game. Anything to this? Oh you SC fans be sure and not park where there are signs saying "Do Not Park." I heard several home owners around the football field were complaining about parking and have been told to call the law and they will have them towed. Also they complained about the train horn but the police just told the people with the horn to try and only play it on special plays. And someone said that SC is putting in some special plays for MC. Anyone heard any of this?

Hey Greenbrier. If you stop Wilmore you stop SC. They cannot win without Wilmore. They have a very good team but he is 80% of their offense. The defense is big and tough. Fair speed, good gang tackling, good at stoping the run. A little weak on the pass. QB has a fair arm. About 75% of the plays are to the offense's left side. Wilmore is great at hitting the tackle hole then slaning to the out side. Tell your LB and Corners to stay at home. And they had better be good tacklers. It hard to get pressure on the QB. The line does a good job blocking. Now SC doesn't block as well on outside runs but this is where Wilmore shines. He will draw the LB and Corners in and then slant outside. I doubt you can run on SC's defense. You can pass on them if you have the time. They also do a very good job on their kick returns. Look out here! if your guys don't stay at home SC will burn them. You know i bet the players read some of the crap we all say and laugh. I mean do you really think any team doesn't respect another team they are going to play! Do you really think the teams are arrogant or maybe their fans? Know this site is for the fans to blow their horns. The players know better. They do their talking on the field. I only wish MC is well for the game. If they have everyone healthy it would be a much better ball game. I still think it will be some hard hitting on both sides. You know if Wilmore should get hurt i feel MC will win. But has he been hurt at all this year? He is a heck of a player. One of the fault of having a small running back like Hudson is that they usually don't finish a season without getting hurt. One thing is for sure. Come Friday Night all this talking will matter not! Heck it doesn't matter now except to a few arrogant fans who think they can change the out come of a ball game by talking! Let have a great game. Best teams wins.

Here is my 2 cents worth from an old coach. MC had a good running team, a good defense and a cool qb for a sophomore. SC has much of the same. Both teams have good defenses on the run but have been weak on the pass. TC almost came back on SC on passing. Then there is wilmore. He is a very good running back. Tough, and fast. SC has a big line. But as a team they do not have as much speed as MC. However, if you keep gridding yardage 7 yards to 15 yards a pop you don't need a lot of speed. I don't buy the fact that many think SC was over looking MC at their first meeting. SC not that stupid! SC just got beat that night. Plain and smiple. Now not as bad as the score was but non the less they got beat! I feel both team were very equal. I said WERE! MC has several injuries. In the first game MC had several players faster than SC. And wilmore and hudson a 2 different type runners but both are good. I would be pleased to have either one on my team. Hudson is hurt. and hurt bad. I doubt he plays. MC back up is hurt and possible bad. MC had to put a flander at running back who was also hurt. If Law is healthy for MC it will be fairly close. If MC does like they did agains GC and fumbles, makes bad snaps, get down on their own players, if the lines lays back on defense like they did, and if several other players don't heal. It may not be pretty. Yes it is very hard to beat a good team twice in one year but SC did it! Good teams do it! MC had a great win Friday night and this took a lot out of MC. SC had a rather easy win. I have seen both play a few games and i just think that SC with MC's injuries will win. But i have to agree with 419 carpet. It won't matter because the train will stop in east tennessee and it won't be pretty. SC has a better running game. MC just doesn't have a good 3 and 6 play! They get their self in trouble on these downs and Carthage has done better on 3 downs. I am talking about the whole season. Both teams have improved since they met last but MC just has to many injuries to over come. So my judgement is SC by 14.

hertimage spring high school in clay county. the school is k-12th and has about 30 seniors. they only have basketball and i think baseball. very small gym. seats about 1,000.

I was told that in the Livingston/portland game, livingston changed their offense from the first of the year. What did they do different? Can anyone tell me?

I was told the same behavior was seen at the Macon Co/ Portland game by Portland.

As one Macon Co Fan let me say this: Yes i have great respect for TC, Portland, and SC. I think that TC and Portland has 2 of the best coaches in High School Football. They have a tradition next to none! And for us to beat TC and SC and play Portland hard and make them respect us is a great feeling. I guess many of us do hope that this is just a start. Many, Many years ago MC had a great football tradition. But many big shots in the town wanted to run the program and started getting rid of coach like bad bath water until the high school just could establish a tradition anymore. Heck there were times we had 4 different coaches in 5 years! Now look at TC. One coach for look how long. And before him his father. Same coach, same respect, same expectation, same coach style. It works and don't fix it. Look at Portland. Look at Coach Perry's record. He was a Westmoreland a long time then Portland. Not much change. Now Look at Macon Co. We have only had Coach Dyer for what? 5 years? I am not sure. But he has slowly been improving us and i hope can get our old tradition back or start a new one. Now the only way MC can beat TC, SC, and Portland with consistance is by having better players. Coach Dyer is a great Coach but in my opinion he is not quite Coach Sat or Coach Perry. But he can become one! I think Portland has the better talent, with MC and SC tied. When we played SC in Macon they were a little down but we had the best team that night. Could they beat us on another night? Probable. Could we beat them again? Probable. If we played them 10 time who would win the most? I really think MC would win 6 of the 10. I think MC is improving as the years goes on. Portland would probable beat us 6 of 10. Maybe 7. But my point is MC is getting better each year. If MC stays consistance with their talent we will improve. Because i feel we now have a good coaching staff. TC already has great Coaches they just need to keep their talent coming. And it is amazing to me how TC has the talent year after year with such a small school! Do any of you notice how many players Hartsville has? Not many! Very few times has TC lost a game to Coaching. Neither has Portland. I really don't follow SC that well so I cannot say about their coaches. I do know that the team i saw play again TC at SC was not the same team i saw against MC. But the MC team I saw play against TC at TC was not the same MC team I saw against SC so i really don't know who is the best. I hope MC wins it all. But i really don't think anyone in our district has that good of a team. I think the best our district has will only advance one game in the playoff whoever it is. I hope I am wrong. And boy have i been talking. I quit!

Ole Coach E will bring his Big Kitties in to town, Only to be given a hugh let down. You see the Portland Panthers have got to show that they will win the rest all in a row. Coach Perry will have them fired up and poor ole Livingston will cry like pups. Portland wins big now and Smith County too. Wait and see.

If LA beats Portland i bet 1 buck 2 will be loaning money to anybody! or at least anybody from Livingston. Maybe at the Celina branch bank. What about it 1 buck 2. Think LA has a shot! I don't! I go with Portland by 27. Coach Perry is going to let the big dogs hunt!

There is no way that Portland is going to let LA beat them Friday night. Coach Perry might just let the dogs loose. I look for a big Portland win. Portland 35 LA 14.

Does anyone know if # 30 for Hartsville was hurt bad Friday night? They took him off on a streacher. I also was told my a Hartsville fan that coach Sat has and was dissapointed in his seniors and may pull all but 1 or 2 from the starting line up. Has any one heard this?

Hey guys. I have read and read and you know. It comes down to this. Whoever wants it bad enough will win. MC has one of their best teams in years. I have watched them play and they play with a lot of heart and spirit. In the last few years once MC got behind they quit! They just didn't have the winning sprit. They did not think they could win> They expected to loose and they did. TC has always had this spirit. They expect to win and most of the time they do. I saw the TC/SC game and for the first time i can ever remember i did not see that spirit in TC. Now i have been told that TC has a very young team. what i saw Friday night looked like a young team. I think MC has the better team but i have played on the creek bank against TC and have have won and i have been stung. And playing on the creek does have it's advantages. But you can bet that Lafayette will be there in force. I think MC has more talent but TC has the coach. Not to take anything away from Dyer he just hasn't had the experience as Sat has. I don't mean in just game time but in having the cooperation. Heck if you live in Hartsville football is king and everything else is not worth the effort. In Lafayette you have to fight with everyone to get the simple things done. There just isn't a lot of support in Lafayette. I'm talking about Fans and parents but the whole town in general. When is the last time Harstville had to ask for money! or whatever they needed. All the Coaches at MC have had an uphill battle. A lot of the best athletes play other sports, or just quit. Take the QB we started with. A great player but he just quit. And there has been others. So I will be cheering for my Tigers. They need this win. The school needs this win. The town needs this win. The players need this win. Coach Dyer needs this win. GO TIGERS! I hope you Tigers read this if nothing else.YOU GUYS CAN WIN THIS GAME! AND IF YOU BELIEVE AND PLAY LIKE YOU BELIEVE YOU WILL WIN. I think hartsville will win. They have not had the talet that they have had in the past. Loosing Wes was big and several others. But Clint will try and jump on SC quick and get them down. I saw them play last year and just before half TC made some breaks and SC went in at half down. and they never got back up.This is what coach sat does. he will try and hit you hard and quick to break the sprit of the team. It works. And Hartsville is great at it. If SC can not make any turnovers and stay within 7 points by 4th quarterf they have a change to win. I think Hartsville has a much better offense than Macon Co did but SC did fair except on 2 plays with MC. I think Hartsville defense is as good are maybe better than MC. At least on the pass. My score is TC 35 SC 14

hey i saw the macon co/smith co game and here is what i thought. macon co has a pretty good defense. but they cannot defend against the long pass. they got burt more than a kid playing with matches. many time smith co qb couldn't get the ball to the receiver. also the flats we open all night. now macon co hit good but they had trouble with #21. i wonder what the total yardage was for both team. i would say very close. smith co may have had more total yardage. i thought macon co took a long time getting their defend ready. also i know the players were up for the game but did they have to tried and get the crowd up after every play? i thought sometimes they were worried more about that than playing. And what happened to husling to the huddle? many time smith co was lined up and macon co was still walking to the line. on offense macon co has got to get consistant. i mean you got to control the ball not just have 2 big plays and that is it. It was good enough against smith co but it won't be against hartsville. here is what i expect against hartsville. Coach sat will have his defense all on the line just daring macon co to pass. macon co will not be able to run on hartsville. then once they try and pass the rush will be on. the young qb will be running for his life. he will rush his passes and turnovers will start. on offense hartsville will pretty much do what they please. lafayette had trouble stopping the sweep. no containment. lafayette's linemen, lb and secondary are bad about not staying at home. mistdirection plays will hurt them. hartsville does this best. once they have run for several yards look for the bomb. it could happen first play. but it will happen. i predict hartsville by 3tds at half and to win by 30 or more. i really want lafayette to win but they are going to have to improve from smith co. line blocking was poor. holes closed to fast. lafayette has some speed but the speed is not used on running plays. straight ahead plays or sweeps that take to long to set up. lafayette needs to copy harstville and use some misdirection plays or counters. and they must not let their secondary get burt! they must stop hartsville's running game and keep passes to short passes. i do think lafayette has hartsville beat on the kicking game. i will be there to watch and cheer for the Tigers but they had better be ready or it could be sadness.
