  1. I definitley wouldn't listen to the radio tonight if I were you! You'll have to hear all about independence if you do!!
  2. Stupid posts never get old! They are fun to bring back up for eternity.
  3. I tell you what...you start one silly, whiny thread and some people will never let you hear the end of it.
  4. I've been around these board for a few years and had never heard of Boski before he started posting on this thread. From what I have read he seems to not be smart enough to know that the "haters" as he calls them are just egging him on to say something else dumb. There are several posters on CoachT that enjoy getting someone riled up to see what nonsense comes out of their fingers next. So Mr Boski, I don't think they hate you, I think they are picking on you.
  5. What a brilliant idea! A really good coach could actually sign up the worst players in the school and throw them out there first. Each wave of new players would be better than the last. Sort of like middle ages warfare where the most important people stayed in the back and the side that one basically just had more bodies to throw at their opponents. This strategy should be looked into further!
  6. What errors were on the Lipscomb web site? I'm sure if you send an e-mail to the operator of the site he will be glad to change it. Of course some people just like to complain when there is nothing to actually complain about!
  7. I too would like to know what Lipscomb quarterback threw a pass in the second half? Coach Mc had one goal in the second half of that game. Get it over with!! I think you need to find someone else else to pick on then Lipscomb. There isn't a more gracious coach in the game than coach Mc. Ask Greenbriers coaches if they thought Lipscomb was running up the score. You obviously weren't at the game if that's what you think!
  8. I have never actually met someone who thinks there child is so great that they talk about it at a football game. I think this is a myth and people just complain about it even if they've never encountered a real person who has ever acted this way.
  9. Well thank god for the people like you, who "know enough about football" to realize it was their kids fault.
  10. Let's have some parenting 101, when do you suggest is an appropriate time to give your children some freedom? At what age? in what circumstance? What makes you right. Just because children are left to play doesn't mean mom and dad aren't watching. Often times it's a good way for parents to give a little freedom in a relatively safe environment. Should we just allow are kids no freedoms and then turn them loose as adults? What do you propose?
  11. My guess is that you really like the band and want someone to stick up for them. I think no one cares about the band one way or the other. So let them do their thing and find something important to spend your time worrying about Yes, a worthwhile effort to complain about the high school girls under the stands. How would you even know they are under there?
  12. Wah! Wah! Wah! just watch the game and quit worrying about what everyone else is doing
  13. Definitely the most annoying thing is people who complain about everything that happens at a high school game, but do half the annoying things themselves. From my experience the people who complain about the know it alls yelling stuff, are really know it alls themselves who are tired of other people yelling their stuff before they get a chance to. Or who figure out what is happening before they get a chance. And yeah, let's complain about the band playing even though it doesn't make a bit of difference to anyone playing. I have never seen a situation where a high school team couldn't run a play because of the noise level from the band. And lets also complain about the cheerleaders even though they are easy to ignore if you want to. And let's complain about mom's who don't care about what is going on on the field, but lets also complain about the ones who cheer to loudly. Lets just complain about everybody cause that really fun! I just love to go places where everybody complains. And whose brilliant idea was it for the fans to take a course before the season starts, who will teach us how to be good fans, you? I really liked the one about the fans who yell sweep or pass from the stands. The person complaining likely never played football, because if you did then you were taught to always yell those things even if you were on the sidelines. And yes if enough people yell it the players can react to it. Or maybe they should just be quiet and sit on their hands, or wait no someone will complain about that to, because their being too quiet or disinterested. And lets definitely just not allow kids at a football game at all, because a football game is no place for kids too have fun. We should not allow kids in until they 18 years old and perfectly behaved. Of course, then they will be adults, and everybody has already told us all the problems with adults at football games. Perhaps no one should be allowed at games at all. Of course if this happens then people will complain that they don't get to see the games, so maybe we should just cancel high school football games altogether. If we do that there will be nothing left to complain about and no one wants nothing to complain about. We all need to make ourselves feel better by slamming other people even if we are 10 times more annoying ourselves than what we are complaining about. By the way my vote for most annoying thing is bagpipes!!
  14. Let me make sure I understand this correctly bulldog. You don't like schools like Lipscomb playing against your school because anybody who is willing to pay the money can send their child there- correct? OK. Should Brentwood go private? Or how about Ravenwood? Let me explain. Not everyone can afford to live in these high priced school zones. Many of the families that send their kids to Lipscomb couldn't even afford to live in Brentwood. You see everyone has the option to send their kids to any school if they are willing to pay the price. Do you not think there are people who move to a certain area only for the schools? If you believe that then check out the values of homes in areas with good schools. You see, that is how Division I is designed to work. Any one can choose what school they go to. The difference is they can't be recruited there or helped financially to do so. The argument that you are "stuck" with the school you are zoned for is simply not true. People all the time move to communties like Maryville or Brentwood in order to give their kids a specific experience whether it is for academic reasons or athletic reasons. Once families have decided where their child will attend school it is up to the coaches to make them into a team. A good coach who can win with mediocre talent will eventually encourage more families interested in athletics to try to attend their school, public or private. As more talent comes more success is likely. I think you know that is the formula for a successful program. Schools with strong football tradition public or private are more likely to continue to be successful. I know that nothing that is written will change your mind, but think seriously about the rationale behind what you are saying.
  15. Congrats to Livingston for making it to the finals. I hope Saturday is a great game!! Why is it do you think that your team has gotten so much better in the postseason? Have players gotten healthier? new offense? New attitude? It is not easy to do what you have done in the postseaon so looking for answers as to how it happened. Good luck this week!
  16. (to the tune of here comes santa claus) here comes the lipscomb bus here comes the lipscomb bus right down lealand lane coach mac is eating coach stewarts sleeping thomas scott is running late.......
  17. Wow!!! Someone who joined just to gloat in their win!!! That must really hurt! That would be like all the people in Mid TN who just ran out and got a Vandy football t-shirt for the first time ever and claim to be life long fans!!!
  18. Still don't know Andy. Mckinley High was named after President Mckinley's sister. She was an educator for many years in Canton. As for what part of Stark county I am from you had a good guess with hoover.
  19. You are right that I am from Stark county, but I have no idea who Andy Alleman is. I'll test your trivia knowledge of Stark county with this question. Who is Mckinley high school named after?
  20. FYI I only have 7 screennames. What I find really interesting is a grown man who takes a high school football message board so seriously that he scolds high school kids for having some good clean fun. I guess in your family you sit around the dinner table discussing a quarterbacks progression of reads against different defenses. Ooooh can I come to dinner sometime. Besides, I hardly think that CoachT really minds the multiple screen names as it gives him more ammo to charge advertisers money claiming he has more subscribers. It sounds like a good deal for everyone...except the "real" fans who want to talk...."real" football
