  1. What has been the score of these games the last few years?
  2. Could someone who has seen Halls this preseason explain their jamboree. That is the only time I have seen them, and they struggled against a much smaller Webb team. I know some schools hold back at jamborees, was that the case?
  3. I'd heard that MHS was using a TE more (Douglas).
  4. Coach Kerr had some pretty good defenses before Lambert was at AC and at Halls. I would say they will do OK on that side of the ball.
  5. Do you know if he will be able to get any help over there? Or are you it?
  6. Rumor is Tony Lambert will be with the Indians next year.
  7. Can people from Carter be Halls fans?
  8. Coach Bibee has a nice resume', with 1A and AA college coaching experience. Heard he is having a tough time with administration at Baylor too. He would be a good fit for that community.
  9. I said compete or be a threat...these teams are a threat by just being there. I wish the best for Halls; I used to know some good people from there.
  10. stinkypete- I'm not arguing that Halls has tradition...my argument is with "great" tradition. Riverdale and Maryville do have "great" traditions, along with Oak Ridge and Brentwood Academy; but who else do you include. Cleveland, yes; Knox Central competes every year, but I don't think they have ever won a championship. DB is is in the same boat. Fulton and AE, maybe. I didn't mean to step on your toes, but it bugs me when "great" is just thrown around.
  11. Does Halls have a "great" tradition? I think of a great tradition as competing for or being a threat for a state championship, year after year. Have they done this, or am I mistaken?
  12. Talking about LB's, I had heard before the season that Todd Collins was helping out on the coaching staff. Is he there?
  13. There should be a happy medium with these two schools schedules. Webb has played a brutal schedule. The argument for this is that they are battle-tested. But they could also be banged-up, physically and with confidence. On the other hand, Catholic's schedule has kept them healthy and confident. But are they battle-tested. This is, again, why they play them on Friday night.
  14. A couple of other notes about the wing T: must be disipline in blocking assignments and fakes, must have unselfish running backs to block and fake when they are not getting the ball, and the guards are as important as any position on the field--pumped up lineman always make you a better team. Delaware, Navy, Air Force, GA Southern, and others run some form of a wing T in college.
