I think there are 14 undefeated teams in 5A going into this week. Can't remember them all, but it includes Ridgeway, Arlington, William Blount & White Station. I believe if you will go to the rarnkings, click on Class 5A & choose statewide, it will give you the rest. GO GREEN WAVE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I too would like send my thoughts & prayers to the Beech football team, parents & friends of Nate Johnson. I heard that around 40 teens gave their hearts to the Lord at his memorial service! What a testament!!! He obviously had a tremendous impact on the people around him! Good luck to you guys on Friday night! We always look forward to playing ya'll! GO GREEN WAVE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Beech always plays us hard & I expect Friday will be no exception! We have high hopes this year, but must take it one week at a time! I too think that the offense will begin to click by mid-season, but let's face it everyone, the defense will steal the show every week! Hopefully, Ben will be back for the game against Beech! Thought the offense looked a little rusty in the beginning, but improved as the game went on. A dropped ball (beautiful pass from JT) & a misssed FG hurt as well. Was a little disappointed with the o-line, but expect them to get stronger as the season progresses. I thought the smokestack was working though! I love those extra blockers!!! Not much to say about the defense other than FANTASTIC job!! Five picks & a lot of pressure on the QB! Was a little worried about Ben before the half, but he came back the second half & was impressive! Looking forward to week 2 vs Hillwood!!!!!!!!!! GO GREEN WAVE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hey Duckman, Greetings from Gallatin! Please keep me posted on the Rebels this season. I read an article the other day on the Carr kid. I know he's got some big shoes to fill, but it sounds like he's doing well. I am looking forward to another season as well. Gallatin has 7 starters on each side of the ball returning & 42 seniors with lots of PT. Total head count is 103. Should be a good year for us!! Hey Wireman, Where have you been? Went by & picked up my season tickets today. I can hardly wait!! News from football camp is that JT banged up his shoulder a little...going for x-rays in the morning. Doesn't sound too serious though. It's hard for me to yell much louder than I already do, but I will make an effort on your behalf!! I agree... could be a special year. All of the components are there!!! I don't expect turnovers to be a problem this year. Last year was uncharacteristic for that! Hope that new job won't stand in your way! Talk to you soon & GO GREEN WAVE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Gallatin's record was 9-3 last year. They were beat in regular season by Wilson Central & Overton & by Brentwood in the playoffs. They have around 40 returning in this senior class, alot of which have been starting since their soph. year, so big things are expected of them & I for onefeel sure they will not disappoint! As for HHS, I expect them to have a much better year! I don't think anyone expects them to stay down & I hope they make it into the playoffs, after all, we are the only 2 Sumner Co. teams left in the Region. Only time will tell!
