Final injury update on Matt Neil, out for the game with a concussion. Another downer for the owls is that defensive end Zach Mobley is out with a strained MCL. Defense needs to step up. BMI needs to get it in gear this week.

Update on Gregory. Last night against Farragut he averaged 45.3 yards on 4 punts: 55, 50, 38, and 39 yards. Hang time was huge and the return man for farragut really had no chance to run the ball. Once again, big punts in the big games.

Ok time to represent the punters. John Gregory from Ooltewah hasnt had the chance to punt as many times this year because of an outstanding running back in Dwayne Caldwell, but when he has it has been a thing of beauty. He has had 25 punts averaging 41 yards with a long of 53. 8 of those punts have been inside the 20 and 3 inside the 5. 5 fair catches to go along with that. He won the long distance punt and best over all punter awards at the Univeristy of Georgia camp this summer and placed second in the hangtime with an average of 4.4 seconds. If the returner from the other team has no chance to run and the punter can back the other team up, he has become the most dangerous defensive player on the team. I dont know about kicker, but John Gregory is the best punter around. The Williams injury is to his left elbow. He was reaching back to pick up a fumble when a helmet camp in and bent it in the wrong direction. Docs think its torn ligaments but still a game time decision. He's a fighter and a leader on the team. HE WILL PLAY.

At the OWLS NEST they have a 10 X 10 stencil of the owls football helmet in the middle of the field and they have OOLTEWAH across the lenth of the endzones. Best looking field of any I have seen this year.

The game is thursday night at 7:30. All homecoming activites are off untill the Soddy game.

I would just like to point out that someone's stats on that kid are way off. I follow the punters and kickers around this area and Hambrick couldn't have had 2 punt returns for 45 yards when Gregory had 2 punts: 44 yards 7 on the return and 38 yards out of bounds at the 6. Just thought i might point that out. Might want to check the rest of that kids stats also.
