I do not care if Obama wins or not, because what it does not mean is that he Republican party is falling apart. If so, that would have been the same case over the years for the democrats as they were handed their rear ends as well. to be signing that song, ELA, is quite stupid. The democrats should be able to win the White House this time around. If they do not it is because of the incompetent nature in which they go about the campaign. It is a cycle for the American people to try the democrats, get upset that they voted for them, kick them out again for several general elections, and then vote them in again for a term. No long term democrats in the white house, as usual. Heck, you speak to how bad Bush has been, but there he sits a two term president. Look to your own party for their weakness to allow such a thing to happen.

I disagree in you comment about Jesse Jackson, when he ran for president. He DID get more press coverage because of his miniority status, because he truly deserved very little.

I am not blaming him for not voting, I just do not understand the logic,,,,even if you say there are three idiots, one of them will be elected. Even idiots can not be equal when it comes to running the country. At a minimum you could choose based on what you think the best direction for Iraq would be, the final two will differ on how to handle that. There is my logic for my statement. Interesting. I can never get my arms around not voting at all though. It would seem that you could find on issue that one candidate supports that you would like to see put into action and vote for that reason only. my two cents.

Ela.. let us just talk about you Lincoln comparison to start. Lincoln had the difficult job of bringing the country through a civil war and putting everything back together. That is a special one time circumstance and he was a Republican. So, Obama is not a Republican, so that goes against him being anything special ....ever. (that is a joke ela, save you comments for the real premise). What we really have here is a man who will never pull the trigger. Ever. Lincoln pulled the trigger,,,,,on our own people.....and made it work in the very end. Lincoln knew how to position the country to get the South back in the Union and still feel okay about it. Obama would likely still be at the table with the South,,,,talking. On to the other subject. I think you miss Solomon's point. uhhhhh......she can not get there, so the rest of the statement is moot. She can not even beat a guy with basically no experience....which is actually what she has, basically little experience. She touts a lifetime of experience, but working at a law firm in AK. and being married to the guy with experience is not even close to the same thing. Heck, she did not even live in DC with the DC sniper was there, any resident of DC has more war experience than she does.

ELA would have complained about that war as well. Ho Pearl Harbor was a set up to get us into the war. This is much written about FDR wanting to be in the war and he needed a reason to be drawn into it. But ELA is bitter, so maybe we should let that story die.

What we have here, the nominee for the Democrats. my opinion is we have another Jimmy Carter. Nice enough guy, but not suited for the job. Really, really smart fella too, but in the end a poor president. He could not lead and he wanted to talk more than anything. now we have B. Obama. Nice enough guy. Likes to talk and in fact said he wants to sit down with any leader, no matter what the past has been and talk. My fear is that he will give away much to get little (hmmmm...think Panama canal). That is what we will get if/when Obama is elected. All talk, no action.
