Just curious to who you all think is the best all around QB in the 5 Rivers. I know Brad Ramsey from East has good numbers and the dude at Cherokee is good. Minnich at West is desent, but he can't throw. What are you're all thoughts?

I too had my face painted only with the better color...ORANGE! To me, West looked very cocky. Busting through the paper and then just walking like they were top stuff, was just a smake in the face to us. Maybe if West played with a little more heart, like my Canes, instead of trying to showboat, they can return to glory. Who do you all play next week. I know its away but where at?

Im not sure on all the stats in all the regions but I think the player of the week in 4A has to Josh Russell. 332 yards and 4 TD's. WOW! West didn't even know what hit them. Thanks Josh! Who else should be players of the week?

Hey just wondering, what do you all think of the Morristown East Superfans? I know a lot of travel to all the games. And I myself have been to every game to support the 'Canes and I plan to for the rest too. Just wondering what you all think about us.

Hats off to Campbell County. They made the bigger plays and we didn't. Both defenses played a great game, its just we had no offense at all. It was the worst I've ever seen it. But good luck to Campbell County on down the road. You all are better then what a lot of people give you credit for. Come on 'Canes beat Powell next week!! Go 'Canes!!!

Hey uh...PLACALL.... you might want to check your schedule. Powell doesnt play Morristown East this week, I believe it's next week, because East plays Campbell tomorrow night.

I have personally talked to Austin Coker, the big linemen for East, and he told me that there is nothing that is going to stop him from playing tomorrow night. He's been practcing with the team for the past 2 weeks I think. Not at 100% I don't think but theres nothing thats going to keep him from playing. As for John Brown, I'm not so sure about that, I have class with him and nothing is wrong with him or so I haven't heard. The only 2 that I know for sure are out are, Blake Garretson (FB) and Chris Willson (LB)

As for the fullback, Blake Garretson, I know he isnt playing for another two weeks. Chris Wilson on of the LB's I would think would more than likely be out of the game after he suffered a kneecap out of place in last weeks pratice. I'm not sure about the other LB. But as for the OT, I would assume it would be Austin Coker, but I have talked to him recently and he told me he would be ready for the game Friday night. It has been that that Marshall U. has been looking at Coker, one of the top linemen in the state for Tennesee. Should be a great game! GO CANES!!!!!

This could be a pretty good game. I dont know much about Cleveland but I do know that West probably wont be as good as they were last year. Losing 9 players on an awesome defense and I think I saw where they are only returning like 3 players on offense. No offense to West but from what I've see, I don't think the QB can throw so well, but I guess they make up for it with James and Ewing in the backfield. Close game, but West win. The 2004 season begins Friday for the 'Canes. Campbell County comes calling to Burke Tony Stadium. In last years game East won 21-0. However I don't see it being that easy for the 'Canes this year. It should a hard faught game for the most part. I really haven't seen Campbell County play, but I would assume they are improved from last year. Can the 'Canes acutally when a game without Palazolla, Fransico, and Simpson. This will be the first true test this year with new players at the "skilled pos." for East. I see it being a close game throughout the but East turns it on in the 2nd half. I pick East by 10, 24-14. What do you all think and how does Campbell County look this year. What type of offense and defense and who are some of the players I should watch? Thanks! GO 'CANES!!!!

I think the worst bleachers are the ones where the vistors bleachers are on the same side as the homes bleachers. Like Cherokee and William Blount. Its horrible.

I attend Morristown East and I have spoken to both the players that have knee injuries and the word is....Austin Coker just had a sprain and he told me himself he would be ready for the Campbell County game the 27th. But the news is not so good for Garretson. He went to the doctors today and was told that he tore his MCL and possibly his ACL aswell and well be out for the season. This is a big hurt for the 'Canes. This guy could play tightend and fullback but yet domaite at both. This will hurt the 'Canes but hopefully there's somebody there to step-up and become a star.

To me QB is really the only question, but it looks pretty well answered. The fight was between Brad Ramsey and Jerry Harris. And from what I hear, Ramsey will be calling the plays come the 27th. Ramsey is very smart when it comes to football and has a cannon for an arm. The only downside is, that he's not played that much. In one start last year he lead the 'Canes to a win over David Crokett, the team the 'Canes lost to Friday night. As for running back, Senior Josh Russell should get the nod. After playing behind Fransico last year, Russell is ready to go, and this guy could be one of the fastest guys in the IMAC. As for WR, we'll be pretty darn good. Delapp and Penland return from last year along with TE Blake Garretson. This could be a better recieving core than last years. There's a lot of shoes to fill but i think these guys can get it done. GO 'CANES!!!!

I saw this topic was about Jeff. and East so I'll not talk about the "Riverdale subject" What do you all think the 'Canes are going to do at QB? With the lose of Palazzola, who do you all think is going to step up? Personally in the only start he made last year, Brad Ramsey did a great job winning 42-14. Yes it was against David Crockett and yes he had Chervez, but you gotta be pretty good to start a Varsity game and be a freshmen like Ramsey did last year. From what I see he's got a great arm. What are your all's thoughts?

Who do you all think are the best fans in East Tennessee? Who travels the best and who are the ones without class? I'd like to hear everybody's thoughts.

About the West subject.....I, a Morristown East senior, would rather loose every game this year by 100 just so we could beat West just by one point. I've went three years with everybody saying West is so much better than East in football. Which is probably true, but just because you have great players and are good doesn't mean you're gonna win. You have to have heart. Thats something that I think every East player has. Not only do the football players have heart but I think the fans are starting to believe in this team now. After winning 2 games to winning 8, hey thats something to be happy about. But I can assure you one thing, the fans for Morristown East will be the best and I'm talking about the student section "The Superfans" We stand by our team and always will, even if we dont beat West. Alot of students are eger to beat West and I can't wait until this football season starts. FYI: Watchout for RB Josh Russell, this guy can fly down the sidelines and as a JR. last year he was probably the fastest person on the team. GO CANES!!!!

I'd run a pro form set and a QB rollout giving him the option to run or pass. if he can get the first down tuck it 'n run. if not float it to the tightend.
