  1. Alcoa and Rockwood wont play each other in the semi-finals....they might play each other in the quater finals and the winner of that game has to play someone out in middle tn or possibley chatt. if Tyner is in the mix.
  2. keyword....."Last Year" We're not living in the past we're moving foward. Like flashy said Alcoa is getting better everyweek....but still should match up as a great game.
  3. Well both D Ends are getting a lot of attention from colleges (Rae Sykes and Brandon Warren) But your probley talking about Brandon, he is a year ahead of Rae and plays both sides of the ball and is great on both sides which gets him even more attention. But from what i've heard UT is looking at him really hard. Theres more colleges looking at him but im not gonna throw all my friends info out
  4. Brandon Warren participated in a pep ralley event prior to this years Alcoa-Maryville game. In this event he had to chug a coke. Brandon had multiple problems with cramping throughout the game so I insist on never drinking and kind of coke product before a game. But on the eating side anything with lots of carbs and calories and protein is good, but dont eat too much.
  5. FB your talking like your a team owner or something...lol
  6. Yes, i try not to mix the few that are actually respectable with the one's who just have to diss everything about Alcoa. But yes I was also telling players after the game that I hope to see them in Buro and I also talked to Coach Quarles (not sure how you spell it exactly) and Antonio Byner and there both great guys off the field and were both just as excited to get to rep. Blount County and bring home the Gold. Good luck
  7. bunch of stuck up preppy ritch maryville pricks....yeah yall beat us great job and good luck on the rest of the season im jsut glad people like your dont actually play in maryville games because it would be a discrace to a great program. But we'll see you boys in buro
  8. haha i put $100 that Duck wont be on his back once friday night. He is determined and so is his O-Line. The real men are in the trenches and thats where the "real game" will be and thats where the game will be won or loss depending on who wants it more. I do think Alcoa will move the ball on Maryville. I do not think Maryville will be as sucessful running the ball but I think they will find success throwing the ball. This is set up for a great game, all the hype for both teams this is going to be great. Good luck.
  9. better then alcoa's?? your joking right?? wow, Warren is returning as a all-state def. end and best def. player in the county and Rae lead the team in tackles last year as a freshman and probley should have been all-state and Martin White is returning after knee surgery and is defently the quickest 300lb lineman in East TN and Mark Avery is just a beast after being in the weight room all summer. Now i dont know about this being the best D-line in all east TN cause i havent seen everyone else but definetly in the top 3....
  10. i have seen Maryville's defense and im not that impressed. There front 7 isn't physical enough to stop the running game of Alcoa. Yes Lawhon can hit but its gonna take 2, 3, and 4 tacklers to bring down Duck and like i've said plenty times before Alcoa's o-line is pretty darn good this year. Close and intense game....good luck
  11. we love being doubted and being the under dog a lot of maryville fans will be very surprised from Alcoa's O-Line....if they come off like they did aganst SD look for Duck to be over 150 again. Alcoa we'll take what they can get whether its passing or running and Alcoa's D will be up to the challenge in holding Maryville's Offense. No prediction but Good Luck will be one of the best games played in this rivalry.

    Alcoa and SD

we're ready for the men in black
  13. Nope Mark Avery and Dante Lewis were both present at practice today working their butts off. Oh and Tom, Dustin and Dominique are at outside and Dante is middle
  14. and by the way dont tell the fans to show how good they are because half the alcoa posters are fans supporting their team...and i gurantee you alcoa will show how good they are...and i keep lauging because all these people are doubting the o-line and d-line....the o-line and d-line is the best its been in about 3 or 4 years....
  15. FB for one theres not just 3 athletes...alcoa's whole starting roster is full of athletes...probley wont believe that but trust me i know them and i know what they can do. and as far as sayin alcoa wont beat a BC team based on the jamboree i dont know what your smokin. Yes alcoa struggled on defense aganst an offense that they have really never seen before, split vear back which is very rare, but on offense they were almost awsome. dustin had over 130 yds rushing and the offensive line just blew PF's d-line off the ball. Doing this to PF isnt too much to brag about but out of all the teams that played alcoa had the best game. But your just gonna read this thinkin im just another tornado fan gettin my hopes up...but im telling you... these boys are ready to turn some heads, fell short last year but look for them to come out playing like its playoff time aganst SD.

    Top teams

I think that Alcoa should be in the top 5 at least, I mean Alcoa went over to Austin East in a three way scrimmage with Seymore, and pretty much did what ever they wanted to do, I think people are underestamating the Tornadoes, but those who do, will have a rude awakening this year...if you wanna see for yourself come to the three way scrimmage over at Fulton tuesday night with us (Alcoa), and Clinton.
  17. Two players from 2A that didnt make pre-season all-state that should have was Rae Sykes and Joei Fiegler. Rae had and outstanding fresman year leading the team in tackles and finished with 9 sacks. Joei finished with over 2,500 yds and 21 TD's. Joei had a rough start but as he bought into Coach Reid's new system he started tearing secondarys up. Those are 2 players who def. should have been on top of the pre-season all-state list, guess they'll have to earn all state honors at the end of the season, and I promise you they'll be more then those 2.

    Murphy Fair

I got my copy of Murphey Fair yesterday. They didnt lie this is one of the best copies in my opinion.
  19. Brandon Warren is definetly in the top 3. Warren is the most physical WR in the state but can still get better so i dont think he's the best right now but deginetly in the top 3. Everyone that has seen him play says that he remindes them of Larry Fitzgerald and Mike Williams. Warren is an electrifying player and can break a game wide open on a fade or and crossing route. I feel bad for the corners that have to guard him.
  20. Fans like most of yall are what make friday nights so awsome
  21. Brandon is still recovering from a non sport related injury during the summer so probley wont be involved in practice for a week or 2 but we're hopin he's 100% soon.
  22. Joei Fiegler from Alcoa is also going to be near the top as he had an outstanding Sophomore year trowing for over 2200 yards. This year he's stronger quicker and has matured a lot. I expect him to recieve all-state honors at the end of the season. One of the top recievers, Brandon Warren, will help him out a lot. Brandon is also by a long shot the most physical Reciever/Tight End in the state.

    2A running backs

Dustin Lindsey is gonna be makin some tacklers look stupid this year....he's a hoss and its gonna take 2 or more tacklers to take him down
  24. i dont think Alcoa has ever been "worn out" aganst any team to where it affects their ability to beat a team.....Alcoa's coaches always do a good job of gettin there players in shape and ready to play both ways....sure they may not be as rested as Maryville but i gurantee you no player is going to walk off that bus with any fear or doubts of whether they can beat Maryville....after the hype wears off Alcoa does a good job of stayin close to 100% the rest of the game....this years game and next years game will be the 2 best in the Alcoa-Maryville rivalry. Gah I love this game
  25. Alcoa has plenty...2 of them had all state honors, Brandon Warren and Dustin Lindsey. This year even more of Alcoa's juniors will shine after a year in the weight room and workin on plays and agilities. These juniors will help Alcoa dominate 2AA for the next 2 years and possibly some 4 and 5 A teams
