WaCoJaCo, That is the dumbest statement I have ever heard. There is no way that DB is one of the 8 best teams in the state. Not even top 20. Yes they did everything they had to do to make it to Murfreesboro and deserve alot of credit. Congrats to Coach Morgan and the Indians, but top 8 NO WAY!!!!

Agree, I think Tipton and Gaskin are just to much. The "role" players at Maryville are also a little better than the "role" players at Oak Ridge + Maryville coaches and players have been out of the region as recently as last year. Maryville vs Clinton looks to be quiet a showdown.

I agree with Primetimeplayer10. Not on the fact that he is a great player, but that there is NO WAY Halls beats Clinton. Karns at home is still going to be tough, even without Fersner. Clinton wins this tournament.......

RedRage, I am not making a judgement on Lambert, but which coach around here could have taken that team and won 8 games? Excluding Z Conner and Williamson (who is GOING to be a pretty good player) they have zero talent. I am not saying JD can or cannot coach, I am just saying "Give Him Time"

I hate to hear that about Fersner. He is a tremendous player on a really good team. In my opinion, this now makes what was a wide open district tournament not as wide open anymore. With the Halls upset win over Powell, Fersner being sick, and OR missing players Clinton is now the HEAVY favorite to bring home the district title!

Mocs 30, The only reason that the Powell/Halls games are close is because of the rivalry. Powell could beat Clinton ( this is a longshot ), but Halls? Are you kidding me? They could play 20 times at 20 different places with 20 different sets of referees and the outcome would be the same. Clinton! Now, I think the other semi final match up is a toss up between Karns and Oak Ridge. Who knows?

This is not a knock on Sitzler or Hall but How is Eldridge not coach of the year in that league every year. That is why this award is so overrated. Everyone feels like the award should be spread out among various coaches. Once again this is not a knock on either Sitzler or Hall, but AC won the league again and everyone knows Coach Eldridge is a top notch coach.........

Maryville, Farragut, Bearden, Karns, Clinton, and Oak Ridge. Is their a favorite? Throw William Blount, West, or South Doyle along with Powell into that mix and I can't make any predictions about which district is stronger. Should be great to watch. My prediction is Maryville and Clinton.

Clinton has to many weapons and playing at home. At least by 10, maybe 20.... OR has no matchups for both Whitt and Vibbert. Morris will shut down their inside game and Clinton's bench is deeper. Both teams still have to play Karns and Powell again so I would'nt say this is for the title just yet.......

Great Coaches to choose from: Just some thoughts Bauman: energetic, cares for his players, intense, good with people Marsh: calm, great background, good with people Rhines: hard worker Nelson: experience, best X & O guy out of this bunch If I were starting a team from scratch, I would probably take Coach Bauman because of his passion along with his ability to deal with people. Coach Marsh would be a close second. Any of these would be great choices.

Bradley, Cleveland, and Walker Valley all Bradley County schools??? Much better than the Anderson County system......

Imrightyourewrong Answer me this question? Who have your beloved Owls beaten to deserve to be ranked #7. And you call Fulton, Maryville, and Oak Ridge untested. All 3 of those teams would beat your Owls handily. You can add Clinton to that mix as well.

IMRIGHTYOUREWRONG, Here Goes trying to explain Clinton's record: Losses are to @McMinn County in a shootout, JuJuan Smith : all state, DI guard @Oak Ridge 71-67 Jeff County by 5, common opponent with Farragut who Farragut beat by 2 @ Wayne County, Ky top 10 in Kentucky (all classifications) @ Chicago Prosser (8), Chicago Marshall (1), and Lincoln, IL (8) Clinton is getting much better with this experience and will be really good at tournament time. They are every bit as talented as Farragut but have played a much tougher schedule. Just my take, The Dog

fatjoe8, I have looked at your schedule and do not see Clinton on it. I hope you are not talking about a scrimmage. Please say it ain't so..... Comparing common opponents is ridiculous anyway. Clinton is 10-15 better than South Doyle ( Before you respond, I do not care about the score of a scrimmage )

Was at the Clinton/Farragut game last night so did not get to see OR and Powell. Who is the new assistant at Powell? How long has their head coach been there? What are their backgrounds?

fatjoe8, Besides Bearden in the "upset of the century" who has South Doyle beaten? Losses to West and Campbell County definitely stand out. South Doyle is having a real nice year, are vastly improved, very well coached and I believe will be in the Region tournament and possibly pull an upset but to say they are the best team in the KIL is going just a little to far........just an opinion By the way, they will not beat Farragut on Friday. I want to be the first one to get on this thread and pick Oak Ridge. Even though it is at Bradley ( where you no who the referees will be before you ever show up ) the cats will still get the win. Have seen Oak Ridge play 1 time this year, against McMinn and they are still a pretty good basketball team!

GovMan, Gaskin is a really good HIGH SCHOOl basketball player and probably a great kid. He is not a Division I basketball player.... In my opinion
