Can anyone update me on Lewis County football so far this spring. Have they had any scrimmages and if so how did they look.

I jave heard from a good friend from Crockett Co that they have an excellent kicker. He may have graduated this year...not real sure but they say he is a dandy.

Don't worry about Viking....he never has supported and never will acknowledge our great programs at Lewis County. The scheduling thing has to do with 2 factors. Travel and willingness to play each other. We can't have a hard schedule like some schools due to the travel of a team. Yeah we could possibly try scheduling a powerhouse like Lipscomb or Goodpasture but you know how hard that is to come about when those schools are used to scheduling same teams year in year out and plus we only have certain dates for non region games.....what are the chances of finding a worthy opponent those certain weeks? No knock against out non region foes beacuse we have some good teams around the Lewis County area but we could use the tougher schedule if it was as easy as imaviking says it is. How about you focus on your program and we will ours. Until you post winning seasons keep it your hole locked. By the way this is a football board....not basketball.

Are there nay schools that could use some help around the henderson tn area?

I totally agree with the before post. These ladies have really gelled together like none other. With the Junior leadership and the confidence from the fabulous freshmen this team is going to make some noise come national tourney time next week. I feel like Freed Hardeman has something huge on their hands in the women's program now and I would choose none other than Coach Neal and Coach Wyatt to lead them at this time. What a wonderful experience this season and I look forward to watchiing for years to come.

Anyone know if Dave is leaning torward one school or another for next year's recruiting? I know it is early but was just wondering if he has any schools he is favoring that might be looking at him. Good luck Panthers in 03.

Being a Lewis County fan I would have to say Mckenzie is tough. But so are the refs there . Harpeth is tough and I would like to think our place was tough. I have heard all about Lincoln Co's the pit. I am gonna have to make a trip there.

Clay Whitehurst was good. I have seen his college room inhis house and he has a couple of nice awards along with a peach bowl ring i believe. Had a successfull career at alabama. Lewis county has had some good athletes with benji rainey, randall hankins, tyler bell, and wesley duncan at the top to name a few.

Congrats to Britni Tenison as she became the all-time leading women's scorer in only her Junior year at Lewis County. Keep up the hard work Brit....it will all pay off in the long run.

how is the pg from lincoln co? hear some good talk of her being a nice pg. any info would be great.

Where all is Stacy looking at college wise? I know Freed Hardeman is interested.....any others? I have heard she is not only a great player but person too. Congrats Stacy and keep up the good work on and off the court.

It never sems to fail that is there is a "Pery Co." post whether it be on the football baseball golf volleyball board or wherever; there is reference back to the "glory" days. Yes they were a GREAT team but what does all that really matter now? None except for fun memories. As for this year's team I think they have a pretty good team. Seen them play a couple of times but the one thing I see is that they are not too deep. Not set on the #1 ranking in the state either. Thought they might lose to c'wood but came out in the 2nd half and played fairly well and capitalized on c'wood mistakes and missed chances.

I went last night to watch Eason play against rowsey and chester co. Eason is definitely what she is cracked up to be. I have never seen a Junior with that much talent on such a weak team....it was horrible watching those poor girls try to play around that star with NO help from the coach. She got her 20+ as the team only scored maybe 26. Definitely a Miss Basketball consideration......(reminds me of Ashlee Robertson's situation from Collinwood).

I dunno which games ya'll are watching but I don't get where you would find much to complain about in the pg. The leader on that team lately has been the pg. If I was going to complain it would come from the team as a whole playing 4 quarters not any less. I guess I just am a true fan who is not going to bash one player when it was obvious we were out plyaed against Giles. I would hold the ball too if my team played that bad in the first half against anyone. Oh well.... dogg him all you want but that team and the coach knows w/o him they are in a world of hurt.

Lewis County ranked 8th? Give me a break. That is the worst poll I have seen all year I think. But I guess it doesn't really matter where anyone is below the #1 spot. Congrats David Lipscomb. Ya'll really deserved it and had by far the hardest road to the championship.

Look guys.....I have seen enough. Mckenzie won. Everyone knows that. Now how about kettign it go and focusing on next week and Mitchell? Don't let this one sink in too far to be enough for your team and the season. Ya'll played your hearts out but I truly believe if soemone who is not biased watched the game last night would agree that ya'll were outmatched. 4 first half turnovers? You can't win a game like that no matter what team your playing. As for the Mr football mess......I cannot believe you all truly believe "Big Rick" deserves Mr. Football. But oh well I guess I shouldn't voice my opinion on here because ya'll will claim we are making excuses or being cry babies.LOL. Give me a break. You all are really making yourselves look like you haven't been here before. That has to make your town proud huh? Good luck next week. When does this season start? Who is running it? Someone please fill me in I would like to go see some of the old legends battle it out once again.. Anyone know about any teams that are in it? How could i go about getting in.. I talked to Tommy Cagle at the game lastnight and his team sounds pretty darn good but, I don't have anything to compare it to someone please fill me in..

Good game to the Rebels. Ya'll never quit. We have no exuses, had plenty of chances to nail the coffin shut. I disagree on the Mr. Football though. I think Bobby showed his ability tonight with many of good plays. Good job this year seniors.Keep your heads up. Kills me though that we were so close yet let it slip away.
