  1. The Patriots won by 1 last year on your field. The Bobcats won by 1 the year before on our field. I have a feeling it will be a Bobcat win by more than 1 this year. Losing by 1 to Westmoreland will give the Bobcats the fire to push for a win for Senior Night and to push forward in the region. Go Cats!
  2. Just a minor request: Could you PLEASE spell Greenbrier correctly? (Sorry, just a pet peeve for a lot of Bobcat fans.)
  3. pulling for the Cats....and I agree with the descriptions above. The Bobcats are on a roll. They need to keep it going! Go Cats!
  4. Lighten up on the Blue Devil mascot. Although I do get a little worn out on the "BDP" as if no other team has Pride...it's their mascot, and has been for over 50 years. Let them be.
  5. Hoping the Bobcat team AND fans open this game showing a little CatScratch Fever! Play Greenbrier Football boys and get the win!
  6. Having seen both, I think the Mustangs have the offensive advantage along with home advantage. Good luck to both.
  7. Wow. Just as I said. They both played a great game. This game was 3-3 until OT. Penalties can make all the difference. It all came down to who punched it in in OT. Greenbrier has nothing to be ashamed of on this one. In fact, I won't say the region is won just yet. If the Bobcats stayed that close, I'm wondering what Westmoreland, Heritage and Sycamore will bring against the BDP. It ain't over til it's over. Good game, Devils. Keep your heads up, Cats. The Panthers will be thirsty.
  8. This is the best Bobcat team I've seen in a few years. Hoping they play with the intensity that they played at Springfield and at the beginning of the Lipscomb game. They scored early on the Mustangs and with the Jackets, early and often. I won't predict who will win. I think they both want it, but who can keep their penalties to a minimum and work the clock? I won't be surprised at anything.
  9. After a few lackluster seasons for the Bobcats, I was very impressed with their game against Springfield tonight. If they continue like they played tonight, I see them being in the top 2 or 3 in the region. Go Cats!
  10. Way to go, Bobcats! MUCH Improved!! Keep it up!
  11. Greenbrier scored in the first two minutes of the game. The Bobcats were up by two scores and Springfield came back to make it interesting going into the halftime, BUT the Bobcats came up with a hail mary at the halftime buzzer falling backward for another TD. Greenbrier came back from half and had their way with the Yellow Jackets in a beatdown. 54 - 27 slammed the door til next year. Way to go, my Cats! You guys showed up tonight and made the Green Machine look like a team determined. Keep it up!
  12. Great run, BDP! Congrats to Liberty. (27-23 Final)
  13. WHH, wow. Heritage beat the Bobcats by ONE point, just like we beat Heritage last year. I would hardly call that a blowout on either end, but we VERY down this year. You want to call that a high point in your season, go ahead. We won't mention the extra time out you guys got....ooops. And yeah, I kinda DO know about Heritage. But this thread isn't about the GHS-HHS game, is it?
  14. Maplewood has usually got more speed than WH. If WH can't catch them, you can't stop the Panthers. If the Panthers have many penalties, WH will take big advantage. I think that will be the difference.
  15. Someone said a few post ago about coming in with confidence could win the game. I think there is a fine line between confidence and arrogance. The Patriots are feeling their Wheaties and may bring a little of both. And I agree with the whale thing. Not cool.
  16. WHH #5 and Scannel are the ones the Patriots go to. Depending on factors like the weather and how the Patriots travel that distance, I think Loretto will have to be on their A game and pressure the WHH QB A LOT to shut down the pass to win.
  17. Although I will hope for a win for the Bobcats, I won't sugarcoat the probability. Bobcats coaches need to figure out a new attack for next season. This one has been very disheartening for the players and the fans. i would hope the Bobcat players would want to end their season on a winning note, but with the Cougars having a chance to get in the playoffs and the Bobcats not having anything but pride to play for, the Cougars will have more than a home field advantage. I would love to be surprised by the outcome.
  18. And Mr. Postman...please, please try to spell GreenbriEr correctly. Not too much to ask, is it?
  19. I hope Greenbrier shows us some magic Friday night because this season has been depressing for the Cats. I know Westmoreland has improved but this would be one great win. Don't give up, Cats. And could somebody check Pitchfork's temp? He actually wrote "Go Bobcats", or else his computer got hacked.
  20. I think this topic title was a jinx. Greenbrier needs to do whatever it takes up to and including MAJOR changes to turn this ship around. It's a LONG time til next fall, and mediocre is getting OLD.
  21. I understand the difference of the ratio of feeder schools into Greenbrier and White House and the number of the boys equals the chance of better talent. I understand the injury losses, as this this also plays into lack of depth in positions. However, I am beginning to wonder whether Bobcats coaching is becoming predictable? Have they lost their drive to win? Two wins and three losses is going to make for a hard comeback to go to the playoffs. As for as this game....I am beginning to believe the biggest blockers out there are in the Cats' perception of this matchup. Stop looking back and play THIS game. I can almost guarantee WH coaches will be sharing their info with WH-Heritage just to try to put a double WH brand on the Cats. REGROUP and FOCUS, Cats.
