I made a prediction about the outcome of this game and the rest of the season for Blackman. I took a stand and made those predictions but I am man enough to admit i was wrong. Bad shooting for White Co. and Riverdale have been a blessing for Blackman, not to take anything away from them.

i think that they played over there heads in the first round. They will get beat by double digits against White Co. and then lose the consolation game to Oakland/Cookeville and finish fourth in the district and and get MAULED by Shelbyville in the region.

Riverdale beat Blackman both times they played this year by 21 at home and by 10 at Blackman. It is true that anything can happen in the tourney, but I think that if Riverdale keeps playing like they are capable and as hot as they have been recently that they will win this one and move onto to a second round game and a berth in the region tourney! They are on a roll!!!

devilfanatic....We don't always see eye to eye, but your poll is BY FAR more realistic than the other polls in this thread. you have jackson county at #2 after the beating they took tonight you have to drop them down. But the Brentwood info was incorrect. They have lost to Cleveland, Antioch, Franklin, and tonight to Riverdale!!

Those are good picks! I would rather Riverdale win it all, but if they can't i would like them to finish 3rd because it would put them opposite of Shelbyville in the region tourney!!!! But you have to admit that Riverdale is the hottest team in the district right now! They have won 9 of 11 and just beat the Tennessean's Midstate #2 tonight in Brentwood.

That would be a good pick for the way they would finish the only problem is that those 4 would play each other in the second round. If the top seeds advance: 1 White Co. v. 4 Riverdale 2 Oakland v. 3 Cookeville so there is no way that they could finish as you put. I think that it will be 1. Riverdale 2. Oakland 3. White Co. 4. Cookeville

It is a TEAM game not an individual game. The entire team wins and loses not one player. If a player broke the rules then he let his team down and the TEAM will have to deal with it. As far as picking up an extra game, what kind of leadership is that coach showing? Just so that they will have this player for the first round of the district tournament. Some one has their priorities messed up! Shouldn't a coach also be teaching these kids about life as well as basketball. By adding another meaningless game, that just shows the kids that it is okay to break the rules because someone will be there to fix it for you. And that just isn't true. And by the way LIFE isn't always fair!

I think it will be Riverdale and Oakland in the championship with Riverdale winning in a very close game that could take more than 32 minutes to decide a winner!!

They are playing their best ball right now. They have won 5 in a row and have won 8 of their last 10. It would be a HUGE momentum booster if they could win at Brentwood and then come home and beat Gallatin. The tourney is gonna be fun to watch.

She is also the second leading scorer and rebounder on the team and leads the Sun Belt in FG %

I am not sure on the times but the matchups are as follows: 1 White Co. vs. 8 Lebanon/Siegel (depending on coin toss) 2 Oakland vs. 7 Lebanon/Siegel 3 Cookeville vs. 6 Warren Co. 4 Riverdale vs. 5 Blackman I think that White Co. has to be the favorite since it is at home but Oakland is tough and so is Cookeville and Riverdale is playing their best basketball right now, they have won 8 out of last 10. So it is going to be tough and exciting to watch.

The margin of victory was a surprise, but Riverdale did play hard and really wanted this win. I did notice that Hess never really got into the game he just sat there on the bench the biggest majority of the game. The intensity level was extremely different between the coaches, one just sat there and the other was really fired up. I think that was a big difference in the game as well because most teams feed off of the emotion that their coach has and Hess had none.

That is true about needing it!! I like your stats better than the ones i got lol better %. They are set up for a potential second round matchup in the dist. tourney if they both win. Should be a very entertaining district tournament this year with everyone outside of maybe Siegel or Lebanon with a chance to win it. Like I said before White Co. has to be the favorite playing at home. I also agree that it is irrelevant rather Sunday played the 4th or not because I don't think that it would have made a difference, not last night anyway! But as i stated last night, White County's inability to get up for this game could possibly hurt them in the tourney if they do play RHS again because i think that it gives RHS the confidence and belief that they can beat White Co. even at their place. They only lost by 5 there earlier this year!! They are playing some of their best basketball right now when it is the most important.

Riverdale was 29-38 from the line. Going through the motions or not it was a big win for Riverdale going into the final week of the season and the tourney. Sunday played the majority of the game and didn't show any signs of her ankle bothering her. Whether it was or not, only she knows. RHS played hard and really wanted this win. Look out come tourney time!! White Co. will still be the favorite because of the home court but this game gives RHS alot of confidence and momentum!

but we are talking about MIDDLE TENNESSEE!! Or atleast according to the title of the post, and memphis schools are in WEST tennessee, although there are plenty of quality teams there.

How is White Station ranked in the top 15 in the nation but not even ranked #1 in the state of Tennessee?? This is just a general question. Would like some feedback on what you all think. Are they overrated should they be #1 in the state. Should Bradley Central, who is #1 in the state be in the top 25. According to Coacht, White Station strength of schedule is #82 and Bradley Central's is #6. These are all just general questions?

Is this the same Blackman team that got beat by 21 at Riverdale?? Just wondering. I would say that White County wins by 10 or more. I hope that Blackman wins though.

I agree to a point, i think powell will take oak ridge in substate. Because if things end up the way im thinking, it will be sevier co and greeneville, like last year, and oak ridge and powell. And then it will be sevier and powell representin at state for east tennesee. And oh yeah dont count out Beech, i know they've lost some tough games but they didnt loose anybody and there the team that got all the way to the title game last year before losing to shelbyville, they're my sleeper. Powell Sevier Co Shelbyville White Co Wilson Central MT. Juliet Jackson North Side Craigmont Those sound like pretty good picks, but Oak Ridge and Powell are in the same district and would not meet in a substate game. Sevier Co. and Powell could make it to the 'Boro but Powell won't get there by beating Oak Ridge in sub state. The The region tourney finals maybe but they will play someone from a different region in substate.

well as far as "blaming the refs" doesn't every coach!! LOL! As I said I am not downing anyone I understand where you are coming from. I help out with his program and see the day to day actions and such. I think that he is a very confident man and sometimes that can be mistaken for ego. I am not looking at this situation through blinders. You know not over looking any faults. I think that it is a little harsh to call him what was at the top of the post O'Leary. He didn't lie to get his job and he is not trying to decieve anyone. Just a friendly reply with my opinion on the subject. Nothing more.

I think Powell could be a "cinderella" team this year. But, I think that you still have to watch out for Oak Ridge come tourney time. (Not a fan) but they are pretty good. You also can't count Sevier County out. It doesn't matter how, or by how much, as long as you win. You know "JUST WIN BABY" (not a fan either) just giving my opinion.

I am confused are you talking about Region 2 (AAA) because you have 3 AAA and Sevier Co. is not in that district or region. Just wanting to clarify before making a pick!!

I have one question for everyone about this subject. Does anyone that replyed to this subject know Micheal Burt personally?? You all seem to have your own "opinions" about him. Do you think that an "e" word might describe the reasons for being ejected in that game. I have seen the tape of the game and they were getting hosed by the officials and Emotion not ego was the reason for the ejection he was taking up for his girls in the championship game. A total of 4 coached were ejected in that tournament by the way which was only 3 days long. Kinda curious huh?? Possibly short fused refs. But nobody thinks about that it is all about Coach Burt's so-called ego. And on his record his is counting his head coaching victories as a whole. He is not taking credit that isn't deserved and he even went as far as seperating it on the website. I know the man personally and all these rumors on here about him are false!! They are just RUMORS from people that jump on a bandwagon because someone either doesn't like him or jealous of him. I really don't know the reasons. But anyway, my point is don't sling mud about someone you don't know because that just shows how little intelligence you have and how big of a follower you people are. Know the person before you try to judge them!! Before anyone responds know that I am not degrading anyone on here because I don't know any of you. Take a lesson on that!

It shouldn't matter whether it was a HOF game or not. The refs were there and the teams were there. They counted the HOF game that they won. Count all HOF games or count NONE!!

The Oak Ridge score is on there and has been for about an hour and a half. Oak Ridge won 69-61.
