I played bball with Causey a few years ago in AAU. I knew he wasnt at Smyrna anymore but I forgot he went to Riverdale. How is he in football?

I think someone is a little jealous. lol. It's not like smyrna goes out and recruits these players. They just wanna play for smyrna. Last time I checked, the number 1 goal for most student-athletes is to get that state championship ring. It's pretty obvious that Smyrna is going to be a contender next year. So maybe they wanna go to smyrna because they want to win. It kind of reminds me of the pro athletes and how veterans who don't have many years left want to go to teams where they can win a championship just like Sam, who is going to be a senior and sees that Oaklands chances are not as good as Smyrna's are at winning state. That sounds pretty logical to me. I'm pretty dang sure that no one would be complaining if they were in the position that Smyrna is in right now.

Could you imagine having Golden Tate, Sam Youree, and Rod Wilks on the same team? Just thinking about it gives me goose bumps. It'd be hard to not have all 3 of them out there at the same time. I could just see defenses dropping 9 guys back everytime. But this is just thought I had. In reality, they would all be complaining about playing time.

The better team did not win tonight. Smyrna played absolutely terribly most of the game. They couldn't execute their offense or make any key stops. I'll give Hillsboro credit. They came to play tonight and they walked away with the win. Smyrna was not ready to play and it showed the entire game not including their 14-4 run to end the 1st half. I'm very disapointed with the way they played. Needless to say, congradulations on a great season by the Lady Bulldogs and good luck to Hillsboro at state. This isn't just March Madness for college basketball but for high school ball as well.

Smyrna just needs to stay focused on one game at a time and that's is one of the highlights for this team. They stay focused. I go to school at Smyrna and have classes with a lot of these girls and not once have I heard them be cocky and say We're gonna kill this team and that team and so on and so forth. They just work hard in school, practice, and games. Another thing is that this team has great chemistry. All of these girls seem to be best friends with each other and I see them get along during school, laughing and having fun and just being kids, but they know when to get serious during practices and gametime. They are playing their best ball at the right time.

Well this just means Smyrna gets another chance to show they deserve to be #1 by beating a good team. WC could get beat in the next round coming off a possible soft game against Whites Creek.

Beech isn't gonna upset Smyrna so get over it. H'ville lost because they were already looking ahead to playing Smyrna and weren't prepared for Beech. Smyrna will beat Beech tonight and then beat MJ in the finals. WC will beat Beech in the third place game.

Any team can walk on to any court any given night and beat any team. But, I don't think Shelbyville is that team that can go to Smyrna and beat Smyrna. But you never know. I doubt the Smyrna girls are underestimating Shelbyville one bit. They know that Shelbyville is one of those schools that no matter the talent, its going to be a hard fought game. I expect Smyrna to win by about 6 to 8 points.

No questions Smyrna will win this one. I'm not saying it will be a blowout. It will be close, but WC fans don't expect Smyrna to play like they did against Hendersonville. Smyrna has better advantage with there posts than their guards. Have you ever even seen these girls! Their AMAZING!

It was a great game. It was tied at 21 at halftime. Pretty much back and forth the entire game. Hendersonville was up by 4 with about a minute and a half to go and Smyrna hit a couple key layups and free throws. Taylor Oliver found Jessica Pollack on a back cut with 8 seconds left. Then Emily Pollack intercepted a pass with 2 seconds left to close the deal. Final score was 49-47 Smyrna.

Smyrna's starting five is the best I have ever seen. Their starting center, Kim Palmer, has a great shooting touch and knocks down those 15 footers like butter. She's a great shotblocker and rebounder. Their starting PF and SF Devin Thompson and Jaz White are very versatile. They can post anybody up, hit that midrange jumper, or even knock down the three. They are both excellent shotblockers and defenders and rebounders. Not to mention they are both six feet tall or higher. Jessica Pollack and Taylor Oliver form an amazing backcourt presence. Pollack is probably one of the best defenders in Tennessee. She is unbelievably fast and has the quickest feet I've ever seen. Talyor Oliver might not be as quick as Pollack but makes up for it and just finds a way to make plays on defense. Offensively, either Pollack or Oliver can run the point and either one of them can hit 3's. Oliver is a better shooter so Pollack usually runs the point and it works out because of her quickness with the ball in her hands. Oliver is a great passer and it justs seems like the game is in slow motion for her when she has the ball. It sure feels like its in slow motion just watching her. The sixth man of the team is Emily Pollack, Jessica Pollack's younger sister. She is a true point guard. She is so unbelievably fast that its hard to put into words. She provides such a great spark off the bench that it doesn't hurt Smyrna by taking one of their starters out a little early. I would even say she is slightly faster than her older sister.

Oh yea! putting us down cuz you think are music is garbage. wow i wish i was as high class as you. man o man i'm pretty dang sure all of us "kids" are tired of hearing about you old folks complain all the time and ur old garbage music too. I'm just kidding about old music though cuz I happen to have an open mind and I like that music from the 50s 60s 70s and 80s.

excuse me for stating my opinion. looks like yall can't stand seeing your team get criticised at all. well get over it cause thats what people do on here big dog! when is the last time any of those teams did something in a while. smyrna has already beat the last 2 state champions. take that however you want cuz i dont care what yall think about my opinions. why don't yall just worry about your girl's team not choking in the state tourny like your football team did.

How is oka ridge in the top 10 in the souht when they ain't even the top team in tennessee. smyrna is way better than oak ridge and have beaten 2 top echelon teams in mt. juliet and shelbyville. smyrna also beat a tough antioch team. who has oak ridge beaten this season? NOBODY. That usa today poll is whack. they prolly picked oak ridge's name out of a hat.
