  1. It was the use of the term "powerhouses" in which you were so savagely incorrect. That was what provoked the absurdity. Oh yes, and horrid spelling provokes a brief lesson on the uses of to, two, and too. 1) TOO many times I've seen poor English. 2) I am TWO times smarter than you. 3) Have you ever been TO school?
  2. Once again, the bird flu rears its ugly head. Something seriously needs to be done about this epidemic that is overtaking McMinn County High School. It must be stopped because we really don't understand this horrible virus. First, it could just mean blowing leads and underachieving, but then it could expand into something far worse and even overtake the illustrious Cherokee soccer program. I bet at that point, Dubya would throw some of his $7 billion the school's way. Don't wait until it is too late...Act now!
  3. Let's begin with a brief aside: If you are indeed the "hater of stupidity," you should make an attempt to reduce your own stupidity by referencing the numeral 2 with correct spelling. If not, you'll be caught in a web of hypocrisy that will make your screenname a ridiculous farce. But all seriousness aside, this game should be settled by the Donnybrook of 2006 (see previous posts). Since Jack Harlow & Bob Williams (former coaches at these fine secondary institutions) engaged in the maiden Donnybrook back in '04, it's only fitting that this year's installment should match their two successors. Can anyone deal with the speed & agility of Jerry Quirk? Maybe we should ask the referees who saw his ability that autumn evening on the Plateau. In the end, children, we all know what will happen. McMinn will lead by 11 at halftime, and then relinquish that lead sometime midway through the 4th Quarter due in part to the old referee conspiracy. Sorry for absurdity, but using the term "powerhouses" provokes it.
  4. "Brake"? Is Red Bank a particular type of device used for the slowing of vehicles with wheels? Is Bradley Central just such a vehicle? Funny, I always assumed it to be a high school located just north of Chattanooga. Assumption never pays off, does it?
  5. Yes and most referees don't comment on message boards. Of course, referee is a title used loosely.
  6. Nothing is predictable beyond that fact that at some point in a District 5-AAA game yet to be played, McMinn will own an 11 pt. second half lead and lose by 3. Of course, the blowing of this lead will be due in part to a referee conspiracy. Is there a Zapruder film for McMinn Lady Cherokee basketball? Frame 185, back and to the left, back and to the left.
  7. I've been reading this board, and though there is much upon which I could comment, I will hold my comments to only a single brief one in reference to this particular poster's "call out" of BluNWhiteH8Tribe. If you do believe he is #8, and you do in fact "pass that info to Jordan", then Jordan will have a very difficult, if not impossible time, finding this #8. High school and college jersey numbers cannot exceed 5. Nice try.
  8. Goodness. Is CPR possible via broadband internet? I believe that ladycherokee is in dire need of such at this time.
  9. Wow, I thought Webber, Howard, & Rose must certainly be in this class. Your analysis sounds more observant than the analysis laying the foundation for President Bush's plan for victory in Iraq. Are there enough coaches at McMinn Central? If not, I believe this poster has certainly put in his or her application/resume/scouting report/DJ analysis/groupie response in a push for the job.
  10. I've seen some reports that professional lip readers were on hand at the game and reported the McMinn coach as saying, "Forget the Lady Jets, I've got a jet right here!" From his hand the clipboard then flew. Therefore, he could have been playfully trying to see if the higher elevations on the Plateau could affect the trajectory of his clipboard or possibly he was trying to see if he could hit someone and be arrested. Thus, ridding him from the task of having to coach the Lady Tribe for a second longer. Either way, was it recorded via visual recording device? Is it ESPN quality material? Why don't we just have a weekly post that reads, "McMinn leads at the half, loses in final minute"?
  11. Signing non-qualifiers over a 3.5 GPA & having players suspended for academic violations. Enough said.
  12. Don't questions end with a question mark?
  13. Go and kill the fatted calf! The Prodigal Son has returned. The Good Book mentions placing the finest robe on his back and a ring on his finger. Would he settle for a sweatervest and a pawnshop gold chain? Huck--"The Next Generation of Dade County DJs"
  14. HMMMMM, I wonder who draws up them there brack-ettes. Looks as if some teams have been "bulldogged". Sorry, I thought I'd attempt some of the childish slang. Poor performance, I know...success is never realized when leaders choose to follow.
  15. Then he should recapture the program from the "Swindler" with his style and grace or at least suggest taking a few less chances on non-qualifiers.
  16. Come on now, ladies. Knoxville isn't Brooklyn or Detroit. It isn't as if we have Archbishop Malloy or Country Day on which to report. Besides it serves Knoxville publications much more good to publicize the plight of a horrid 5-6 football squad with the character of the Gottis than to tell us about the quality stories of young people who don't receive any financial gratification for their efforts. Didn't you know that?
  17. Congratulations to you, young lad. Your writing style suggests a certain bit of intelligence that certainly isn't present on the basketball squad of the less than respectable instution your screen name represents. What is John Schulman's email address? Can I ask him if passing class ranks in any importance with passing a basketball?
  18. Is the coaching staff at McMinn Central upset by the fact that more is spoken of the Freshman team than the varsity squad? I've seen as many threads begun in discussion of this squad as Cait McMahan. Quite a wake this Central Freshman boat is making indeed.
  19. Yes, the brilliance of Jim Brown strikes again...and again...and again...
  20. I've heard a trip to the state will be difficult for any Bradley Central sport due to the exiting of John Allen and the positive presence of victories and success, which eminated from his amazing persona. The loss of Harlow & Allen in a two-year period? How shall they recover? God, indeed, only knows.
  21. ATTENTION! I WANT TO TALK ABOUT HIGH SCHOOL SPORTS! Where is this destruction of which you speak? When shall it come? Or is that not possible due to the fact that your fingers still sting from the hot sword of defeat that grazed your childish hand last night while playing for the lowly Cherokees? Oh, is "The Captain", like all other McMinn County players/students/lackeys/sweatervesters/bald coaches/ponytailed coaches/mustached coaches, traveling again down the road called sub .500, making stops at little villages of mediocrity along the way? Maybe a spring sport will bring the satisfaction you seek.
  22. Pigeon Forge had success? Have you checked the final score? Pigeon Forge had no success in any facet of the game.
  23. Does that mean you "haven't been yet" out of the house or "haven't been yet" out of the womb to get a glimpse of reality? Other than having a Salad carry its namesake (it's actually "poke" but I'm trying in vain to give some credit), Polk has seen less success in the last 7 years than the Tennessee Vols. Double! Double!
  24. Well, that is not a truly valid argument considering that McMinn County is NOT a part of District 5-AA, and doesn't seem to be any better than the 7-time defending District 5-AA champion and their cross-creek rival.
