  1. Not trying to figure anything out. As I stated don't really care who they hire. Just enjoy reading what all the experts say about the situation, including myself. Just repeating what ole dad said in calling all of them morons. Must be so if he or she said it. lol
  2. Glad to know that we all have facts and that Gaddis will be called by the morons. Don't really care who is hired. Whomever it is, it will make some happy and some unhappy and then after a few years, some will be happy and some unhappy. Such is life and we move on to complaining about something else that doesn't matter. It is just fun to watch all the morons try to figure out what is going on and to read everyones reaction. Somebody once said, Believe none of what you read and half of what you see. Hmmmmmmmmm. Something to ponder.
  3. The job has been posted on the TSSAA website as of this week and it says that applications will be accepted through 1/23.
  4. Thanks for the update. Always good to have breaking news.
  5. Don't know how to make it any clearer. They are not going to call coaches that have not applied this time. Last time that may have occurred because the committee was made up of members that were outside of the school system and someone called Gaddis. It doesnt't really matter how concerned the good folks from OR are about the ability of those making the decision. This is not an opinion, just the way it is working this time. If Gaddis is really concerned and wants the job, he should apply, otherwise he will not be considered.
  6. I think we all (or most of us) know who the jerk and idiot is in this conversation. Move on to something else.
  7. If Gaddis does not apply, he will not be contacted. If he does apply, he will not be the choice of the committee. Of course, politics makes strange bedfellows. It will be a mystery untill the coach is announced.
  8. Well said, Rick7425. But you should also remember, those that don't agree with the decisioins of the Board of Control will never consider the facts and how the TSSAA actually works. They are looking for a scapegoat and Ronnie Carter is the Exec. Director and therefore catches all of the grieve.
  9. Why can we not understand that rankings mean NOTHING. The state tournament in March is all that matters.
  10. I agree with Clint. An impossible job to satisfy everyone. He has done an admirable job and represented TN well throughout the nation and remained a gentlemen as Clint said. People that say otherwise do not know what they are talking about and always want everything to turn out their way. Thanks Ronnie for many good years and for doing the right thing day in and day out. I only hope that Bernard will continue along the same lines.
  11. Suggestion: Fewer games to pick might generate more interest. Takes too much time for some to pick all of those games. Some people have to work and are not kept men or women with idle time on their hands.
  12. Yes, David Clary is probably the only person in E. Tn that knows who should be hired in OR.
  13. It is so good to know that we can be kept up to date by the source in the know.
  14. The officiating that I saw at the games on Saturday was okay except for the fact that 3-4 of the guys were completly out of shape and could not get up and down the floor. Not in position to make many of the calls that they made and some they did not make, which is better than making a call and guessing when they can't get down the floor. The same guys that called in this tournament 20 years ago are still trying to run the floor and they just cannot do it. It would serve the tournament better if the chairman or committee or whoever runs the tourney would insist on officials that are experienced and in shape, even if they have to go to the college ranks and get officials. I think that everyone would enjoy the tournament more with some officials on the floor that can move with the game. It is time to ask Lon Thornton and his crew of beer drinkers to move on to retirement.
  15. I understand all of the close games SCHS has lost. Mo. West is a good team, but imo Wilson Central is a much better team. I think that Taylor Hall from West is a good player, but not in the same class as Jasmine Harrell of Wilson Central. Also, I think that WC is a much better coached team that Mo. West. I know that SCHS has had some nice late season runs in the past few years and this comment is taking nothing away from that. The main questions that I had were the lack of effort that I saw from the players and change in the coaching style of Burkey. Enough said on my part.
  16. It has been a long time since I have seen a SCHS team with so little talent and even more distrubing, play with so little effort. Very surprising. Coach Burkey acted very strange. Very calm and collected during the game when in the past if a team of his played like that he would have been all over them. Maybe it is the talent level and he is aware of it or has someone reeled him in. Either way, he is way out of character. Here is wishing good things for him and his team in the future.
  17. I don't know if the website is not working correctly, but I can't get the schedule page to open. Hmmm.
  18. Koufax32 is clueless. Grow up and enter the real world. Find something worthwhile to talk about other than 12-14 year olds.
  19. As the old saying goes, it is not what you know or do, but who you know!!!!!!!!!!
  20. Sounds like some of the OR fans need a dose of reality. The administration is going to do what they want to and all of this talk about what they should do is not going to change a thing. There are only a few people who know what coaches have applied and which ones will be interviewed. Guess we should make sure that the facts don't get in the way of a good story or in the case of LLK, don't be confused by the facts when a lie will will do intstead.
