I know a second grader who can eat 7 hamburgers for lunch, lift his chair over his head 239 times, and can run to the water fountain and back in 2.73 seconds!!!!
again, the 50 and the 3-4 are the same defense. in the NFL they call it the 3-4, anywhere else it is called the 50. as i said, the 50 and the 3-4 are the same defense.
2003 Jefferson County Patriots-Jeff Jennings and Scooter Houston
2004 William Blount Govs-Brad Walker and Ronald Osbourne
2005 Alcoa Tornadoes-Dustin Lindsey and Logan Love (who is dramatically overshadowed and under looked)
2000 Alcoa Tornado Backfield-never seen so much speed in my life on the field at one time. They had 5 or 6 backs that could take it the distance at any given moment.
you have to adapt your system to your talent. you cant go to hampton ( no pun intended) and run the spread offense and bank on the big play, the talent just wont allow it. same as if you go to melrose and try to run the power I. you're going to have athletes there, but why limit the athletes you put on the field?? that's why so many teams in texas are moving to the spread, they have athletes out the wahzoo. in the end as i said, you have to adjust your system to your talent level. and as someone said earlier in the thread, balance is the key. i watched the bluecross bowl last year and thought that Alcoa was one of the more balanced HS teams i have seen in quite a few years.
with the way hamilton county handles their "paid positions" you would almost be a fool to take the job. how many people do you know who are willing to head a 5A program w/2 assistant coaches?
i know former elizabethton and jefferson county defensive coodrinator jim hastings has been hired as the defensive coordinator. and coach stubbs (?) from Tennessee High has been hired as the secondary coach. and that coach hastings wants to bring in a guy he worked with at jefferson county a few years ago.
word out of church hill is that coach ryder is bringing in a pretty awesome staff for the upcoming season. any comments or news from the far northeast???
why would he leave all of the athletes that he gets year in and year out for the occasional superstar at halls??? besides, he's not that great of a coach. if it werent for his superb athletes he wouldnt have won half of the games he coached.
Rivals100.com story says he has a "soft verbal" now to UNC, and that he took an official visit to South Carolina with the Old Ball Coach this past weekend. Sources say he said "It's hard to pass up the opportunity to play for Coach Spurrier?" Any info?

williamson county = twice as big, 18 championships
blount county = half the size, 14 championships
so in turn, you double blount county's size and they should have 28 championships?
sounds like williamson would be a LITTLE bit behind if you look at it that way.
