Richland over Cascade

Richland is by far a top choice for a state champonship in A baseball. They have every starter from last year returning plus a senior who was not able to play last year because of grades. The 1-9 hitters all have power and can come up big in times of need. with a (27-3) record look for Richland to make its way back to state and win the championship. Richland plays Friday May 16 at Cascade and they play Cascade. Everyone look out for the Richland Raiders!!!!!!!!!!

Richland will go undefeated in the district and has a good shot at being undefeated in the region and they will make it back to state again this year

You may be thinking of Dillon Sands. He is a lefty and he throws pretty well. They also have a senior righthander Jacob Hopkins that can throw pretty well, but for some reason the coach won't use him much. If he got to pitch, he could be a starter or at least a solid relief pitcher to rely on in situations where you are short on pitching. I've watched them play this year too and I believe they are better than last year. They have more experience and depth now. I think Coach Hughes has done a pretty good job with the team over the last year and a half after a tough first two years. Best of luck to him and the team. Richland isn't returning all of their starters. They only lost one senior though. He was the right fielder and he wasn't one of those players you can't do without. Just solid in the outfield and decent at hitting. Shouldn't be a problem finding somebody to fill in for him. I agree though, Richland will be at the top of the district and who knows what will happen after that. Last year we saw what can happen when you play well at the end of the season. Hopefully our boys can do the same this year. So far they are off to a good start.

A. Workman can't pitch every game B. You will have to be able to hit because 1 or 2 runs will not do it against any decent team C. You have to have a defense behind Workman so your "needed 1 or 2 run lead" can hold up D. CA does not have this because they lost everybody

Richland should be at the top they are returning every starter, but Culleoka will be good coming off a strong finish from last year, but you can't count out CA with Workman on the hill, and the some thing of Cornersville with Cole

Richland is one of the top 1A teams in the state with all starters back in the line-up this season something special is in store. They are gaining back a starter who was not able to play last year due to poor grades. I have watched individual practices with him at his hitting and pitching coaches he is back and better than before Richland will go back to state

Number 7 Justin McNeese is a senior from Richland He has it all at 6'1" 210 with a 1.97 pop-time he hit .530 last season with 12 DING DONGS and 72 RBI's he carried his team to the state tourney along with Junior pitching phenom Blayze Parsons.... McNeese has signed with UAH He is a BEAST

Yesterday the game between Richland and Moore Co. looked like a home run derby. Moore Co. hit 1 and Richland was smashing with 6. Cory Picket-1; Justin McNeese-1; Blayze Parsons-2; Cruz Wallace-1; Cain Pierce-1 How many home runs have some other teams hit in one game this year? C-4...BOOM!

after one game? what r u talkin about? they didn't play that bad but they r too out of control at times and don't have many shooters. everyone likes to drive out of control and it's hard to win like that. i agree they can be good but jus need to settle down a little bit.

the final score was 67-40 and yea the riaders looked rly good. mt. pleasant likes to run but the raiders ran with them tonight and jus looked as if they had more energy.

this screen name is known by a lot of richland kids. from the graduates and present. some of them take up for their teammates and others like u said dog them. so u can't assume it is a senior dogging melear.

mealer is no good for richland he is lazy

no last years coach had a couple of guys he got along with on the team and he watched out for them. when you tell your kids i hope i come in here next season and whoop y'all and then dog the school in front of them how mature is that for a grown up? hopkins works himself til he gets what he wants. he stays after school on jr. high game days and highschool game days workin on his moves. so his improvement came from himself. and the new coach was not dogging the old coach. he told his players have class and be mature about the sutuation. that is the difference in the two, he has class and maturity and miller DOES NOT!
