cyjacket Wartburg has only been AA since 1986 and some of them years wartburg and coalfield did not play each other bottom line is get over it wartburg is the better team take the bill winstead years out and it an't even close dogs by 10 this year and they even lost 20 players from last year

CYJACKET or should I say commissioner Adcock You talk alot about numbers would you get them straight before you post them The Morgan County schools web page said Wartburg 443 Coafield 200 yes thats a big difference but not what you posted kingbrain3 can you find out the wins and the losses for Wartburg and Coalfield when they were single A and then when they was double A one more thing can you find out something for me I was told that Wartburg had to count the CDC kids and the kids that go to alternative school for the hole county in there numbers I was told this was the reason Wartburg was double A I would like to know if this is true I can't put alot of stock in what this person tells me and this question is not in no way shape or fashion saying any thing bad about those kids just would like to know if this was true or not

Teachers may not do back breaking work but they do work hard and earn there money and they are well under paid for what they do.The stress and responsibly that they have on them is more than i would want I was just giving you a hard time and trying to pocke fun at CYJACKET a little bit I think CYJACKET my be a county commissioner .

CYJACKET can you confirm a rumor for me that the Coalfield post office saves PO BOXES for people so they can say they live in coalfield when they really don't and this don't just apply to one town hint hint

The rivalry between the Morgan teams is a good case study for several things. The Morgan County School system several years ago chose not to have a Consolidated Comprehensive High School centrally located for various reasons, the type of problem you have in Scott is one aspect of that decision concern that students from different schools could not get along and to keep them separate would be safer. When Scott had Robbins High, Norma, Huntsville, and Oneida, Morgan Schools played all those Scott Schools. Morgan schools now only play Oneida on a consistent basis due to the Region 2A alignment. This is not to be a treatise on conslidated/comprehisive schools, but these large schools are a major reason for Private schools stepping to the forefront. While not a neighborhood school (which I support and strongly believe in) a private school is the next best thing. Now to the rivalry aspect. Coalfield and Wartburg have a huge interclassification rivalry. The darn record is just a little over .500 in favor of Wartburg. As for Coalfield, Sunbright, and Oakdale the rivalry is there but there is such a diffence in programs from year to year at two of those schools it is not consistent. There is mutual respect from all schools in the County. Heck, we still have that Old time County Championship that don't mean nothin' but braggin rights and it at least gives Wartburg something to crow about when they beat three single a Schools to win it. CRY ME A RIVER Come off the AA junk when Wartburg wins it is that they are AA and IF Coalfield wins it don't matter it's a rivalry game and the best team won The biggest part of the rival Wartburg was single A I have even heard the local radio station talk before the game that you can throw out the fact that Wartburg is AA this game is a big rivalry and a big county rivalry game at that but when wartburg wins they so O COALFIED was just playing a AA school this excuse for when you all win and lose is getting old I guess the reason for the radio guy saying the same thing is that he his from Coalfield Please come up with a new excuse What about basketball and baseball the dawgs are single A in them and win do you have a excuse for those wins I guess its the fact that wartburg has around 400 kids and yes you can pick up some AAA schools that are very week in football HA HA

Watch out it's tournament time and it seems that the Dawgs come to play at this time of the year I could be wrong but I think they have won the District tourament 3 out of the last 5 years heart and defence will win you alot of games that you should not win the Dawgs by 5

The Wartburg radio station said that Wartburg could finish second if Coalfield beats Harriman tuesday is this true if so this could be a first for Wartburg fans pulling for coalfeld to win a ballgame

coalfield has alot of talent with a big man under the goal Wartburg's Joe Layne has a shot at third place with no big man and only 2 seniors very good coaching as far as a mvp go's mvp don't stand for the best player it means the the most valuble player this means take a player off of a team and the team would not be were they are with out him just my 2 cent's wartburg will finish third in the regular season so that they will be at no worse than 4th in the district tournament just a guess because i think wartburg will lose to Rockwood and onieda will lose to harriman

If Wartburg holds on to 3rd place i think joe layne of Wartburg is coach of the year the player of the year good question there has not been a dominant player this year ever team has a couple of players they call on the one i think that makes the biggest deference is the boy they call sunshine from Harriman don't like his attitude but he is what makes them go He is hard to press and he can drive to the hole and make thing's happen a good point gard is hard to find

why don't the coach's get with roane state and have it there it would be alot better

I don't know about destroying Rockwood I do know if I could I would leave the play by play man thats on the radio for Rockwood at the house he is pitiful and clueless to the fact they there is a ball game going on
